New York Republican Rep. Peter King thinks his party needs to go nuke if Bush era officials are prosecuted on torture charges.

King, the outspoken ranking member of the House homeland security committee, said Republicans should "shut down [legislative] activity across the board" if any Bush-era officials are hauled into court.

"We would need to have a scorched-earth policy and use procedural means to bring the place to a halt — go to war," he told POLITICO.

He added:

"If we have another 2,000 people killed, I want Nancy Pelosi and [liberal philanthropist] George Soros, John Conyers and Pat Leahy to go to the funeral and say, 'Your son was vaporized because we didn’t want to dump some guy's head under water for 30 seconds.'"

Pelosi, Leahy and Conyers haven't called for prosecutions but have said more information needs to be gathered to determine if officials who authorized waterboarding violated the law. Subscribe to *WAR CRIMES*

Ha! Like I would shed any tears. Gridlock is good. They could have a TLC battle royal on the house floor. Now that would be a PPV I would buy in a heartbeat.

A sure sign that American politicians believe themselves above the laws of common decency.

"Going nuke" is what Darth Cheney has literally been champing at the bit to do for his entire life and I don't mean in a parliamentary sense. The demons in control of him want to kill hundreds of millions, if not billions of us before his jerry-rigged cardiovascular system finally goes out and dooms them to destruction like the herd of swine which plunged off a cliff right after Jesus had just cast the demons of the Gadarene into it.

Two thoughts, if this "Trial" is held anywhere but in the US, I agree with Rep. King. And the second thought, why are they NOT shutting down DC now, the actions of the Democrats are Unconstitutional at best.

Truth is Treason in the Empire of Lies

"Don't Tread on Me", originally a war cry of Benjamin Franklin during America's fight for independence, has come to symbolize the American spirit. It first appeared on the Gadsen flag (named for and by General Christopher Gadsen) which featured the slogan below a coiled rattlesnake that was ready to attack. The snake (along with the slogan) came to symbolize America as an animal that would never strike first, but when provoked, would never give in. Today, it also symbolizes and celebrates personal independence and perseverance.

it is against US and international law to torture.

That's the point ! All of the nonsense about preventing terror events is secondary to the law and quite irrelevant. Law itself becomes meaningless if it can be circumvented through a rationaization process such as is being promoted by Bush/Cheney defenders.

The real crime was committed through the re-defining of torture, wherein acts previously prosecuted as criminal such as torture (waterboarding) were re- defined by the Bush legal toadies as now being lawful. The ends justify the means is the cry of tyrants.

Finally, failure to prosecute liars and violators in the past has resulted in 58,000 deaths in Vietnam, the prosecution free attack upon the Liberty, the unprovoked attacks at WACO and Ruby Ridge without a single FED being fired, and when the truth finally comes out about 9-11 and the OKC bombings will likely implicate government operatives with the same disregard for law as was demonstrated by the Bush/Cheney administration, Pinochet, Hitler and Stalin.

Every serial killer rationalizes murder in his own mind. The U.S. Govt is preparing to use the same techniques on its own citizenry. Bush and Cheney should have been arrested and tried long ago. Making the prosecution of crime appear to be driven by politics is bound to be used as a defense of sorts, but should be ignored and the facts made public. We see people being tazed to death for no reason and a police state being instituted because the perps haven't been prosecuted.

We are in the predicament that we find our country in today because politicians have been allowed to lie through their teeth for a century with impunity. After the Bush/Cheney prosecution, old man Bush and his accomplices in the Kennedy assassination should be brought up on charges. There's no statute of limitations on murder.

Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces.
