Climbers missing since 1970 found in Swiss Alps
Post Date: 2015-08-07 19:14:16 by X-15
The remains of two Japanese climbers who disappeared in the Swiss Alps in 1970 have been found after emerging from melting ice, police said on Thursday. Human skeletal remains were discovered at the foot of the Matterhorn glacier, at an altitude of 2,800 metres (9,190 feet), last September, and DNA tests have recently shown them to belong to two climbers who vanished 45 years ago, the Valais cantonal police said in a statement. The two climbers, identified by the Japanese consulate in Geneva as 22-year-old Michio Oikawa and 21-year-old Masayuki Kobayashi, were reported missing on August 18, 1970, it said. The consulate had assisted in tracking down family members of the two climbers in ...

Videos: Fiorinaís Amazing Debate Performance Propels Her to Top Tier of Candidates

I knew she would do well, but she had to do so well that it needed to be an eclipse of all others. She couldn’t just maintain, or ‘hold her own,’ being the only one in the lineup who had never been in this position, she needed to knock it out of the park. And boy, did she! The best case scenario about getting placed in the second tier came true: she’s receiving the attention and name recognition, was seen first without the distraction of Trump, now has the experience under her belt, and can watch the “main” debate and learn from that as well. It is the best situation for her. Fox News is doing a poll of viewers asking them who won, and as of this post Carly ...

Missing People That the Parks Donít Want You to Know About
Post Date: 2015-07-23 07:03:20 by Ada
Not to sound like a braggart, but there aren’t very many things in this world that genuinely scare me. I don’t have any phobias, I don’t worry about serial killers when I leave the house at night, I’m not terrified of being eaten by animals when I go into the woods (though I remain cautious), and when things go bump in the night, ghosts and demons do not come to mind. In other words, I’m no scaredy-cat. But I have a confession to make. There is only one thing that keeps me up at night from time to time. It’s the stories from the book series titled “Missing 411.” That title may sound innocuous, but I assure you that if you read some of the stories ...

Using that, the Dallas Stars won their trade with the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night, getting Patrick Sharp along with defenseman prospect Stephen Johns, for ...

Though FBI reports are often admitted as evidence, they are sometimes so unreliable that even a federal judge once refused to be interviewed unless he could review the report first. Matt Connolly is a former Deputy District Attorney of Norfolk County, Massachusetts How credible are the reports of interviews filed by FBI agents working a case? In fact, such reports are known to be so unreliable that in one case, a federal judge refused to be interviewed by agents unless he was allowed to review their report and make corrections. That case was more than a decade ago, but the problems raised by these FBI reports—which are often offered in evidence during criminal trials—are very ...

Late Sunday, hackers dumped online a massive trove of emails and other documents obtained from the systems of Italian surveillance firm Hacking Team. The company’s controversial technology is sold to governments around the world, enabling them to infect smartphones and computers with malware to covertly record conversations and steal data. For years, Hacking Team has been the subject of scrutiny from journalists and activists due to its suspected sales to despotic regimes. But the company has successfully managed to hide most of its dealings behind a wall of secrecy – until now. For the last few days, I have been reading through the hacked files, which give remarkable insight ...

YOUR COMPUTER IS COMPLETELY SAFE - Leaked Documents Show FBI, DEA, & Army Can Control Your Computer

Leaked Documents Show FBI, DEA, & Army Can Control Your ComputerBy Carey Wedler Leaked emails from an Italian-based hacking company reveal that government agencies engage in surveillance more invasive than previously thought, spending millions of dollars on spyware and malware software to accomplish their questionable goals. Tellingly, their use of the product places them squarely in the same category as other repressive regimes around the world. After hackers ironically hacked Hacking Tools, a Milan-based company that sells strictly to governments, hundreds of gigabytes of emails and financial records were leaked. The emails show that the FBI, DEA, and U.S. Army all purchased software ...

The 30 or so tea party members who attempt to foil the party’s agenda by opposing leadership with nay votes on procedural motions, known as rules, will receive harsh and swift punishment, according to the website. "When we are entrusted by our team with a position of ...

It was, using Edward De Vere’s words, much ado about nothing. The media didn’t think so, called it “Deflategate,” and one of America’s great sporting heroes, Tom Brady, was pilloried as if he had inflated the beautiful model Gisele Bundchen, his wife, against her wishes. If any of you Takimag readers missed it while on holiday in Albania, Brady and the New England Patriots supposedly deflated the footballs used in the championship game against the Colts so Tom could better find his receivers. The NFL, needless to say, was shocked, shocked that anyone playing professional football in America might bend the rules in their favor, and suspended Brady for 4 games, fined ...

Scoundrel Media FIFA Bashing
Post Date: 2015-05-29 06:05:01 by Stephen Lendman
Scoundrel Media FIFA Bashing by Stephen Lendman Amateur and professional sports are big business. It's no surprise they're rife with corruption. With billions of dollars at stake, anything goes, most often unaccountably. Organized crime is involved. Crooked deals take place behind closed doors. Corruption has many forms - including bribes, kickbacks, rigged construction bids, money laundering, front companies, exploitation of amateur athletes, and lots more. Big-time US college sports are notoriously corrupt. Runaway commercialism is pervasive. Schools sell their souls for lucrative advertiser sponsorships, television contracts, ticket, concession and merchandise sales, ...

The price of supporting the troops is paid to the NFL
Post Date: 2015-05-12 07:31:35 by Ada
The Department of Defense paid NFL teams more than $5 million over four years to buy moments that honored troops. It's disingenuous -- and also par for the course for the NFL's operations. The scene is familiar at any sporting event. The PA announces, "Ladies and gentlemen, please turn your attention to our Hometown Hero," and the JumboTron shows Petty Officer Binotz or Master Sergeant Jones, waving humbly, flanked by cheerleaders. The moment, though perhaps reductive and saccharine, is nonetheless touching: a fleeting opportunity to connect to whatever we feel toward the troops -- memories of friends lost, of family members' service, of the people we might have ...

The Tory Win Is Europeís Loss
Post Date: 2015-05-12 05:44:24 by Ada
David Cameron is the most successful Tory Party leader since Margaret Thatcher. Yet history may also record that his success led to the crackup of his country, and Great Britain’s secession from the European Union. How did Cameron’s Tories capture their majority? First, they compiled a strong record to run on. More critically, they attacked the Labour Party of Ed Miliband as too far left to govern, and warned that a Labour government would be hostage to a secessionist Scottish National Party, without whose votes Miliband could never reach a majority in Parliament. Labour could not shake off the charge, because it was true. The attack on the SNP as a subversive party secretly ...

Jade Helmís Silver Lining: MSM is Officially Dead
Post Date: 2015-04-30 19:37:50 by Itistoolate
Jade Helm’s Silver Lining: MSM is Officially Dead I used to lament the fact that 98% of the mainstream media was owned by only six corporations. A decade ago, we all knew that the media was controlled, but the public would laugh in our faces for saying so. Today, the laughter and cries of “conspiracy theorist” are fading. The mainstream media is dying and the Independent Media is exploding and will soon be king. Jade Helm is waking up the sheep like nothing else I have ever seen and these former “stay on the couch types” who watch Wolf Blitzer, are visiting the websites and listening to the shows of the Independent Media in record numbers. The entire ...

Austrian climber dies in fall from Matterhorn
Post Date: 2015-04-23 21:51:19 by X-15
A 33-year-old Austrian climber died on Thursday when he fell 600 metres down the side of the Matterhorn after ascending the iconic 4,478-metre mountain in the canton of Valais with a colleague. The two climbers left the Solvay Hut, perched on a ridge of the mountain at 4,003 metres, to continue their descent at around 8am, cantonal police said. About 100 metres below the hut, for a reason unknown, the victim fell 600 metres down the Matterhorn’s east face, police said. The two men were not roped together, the force said. The accident is a grim reminder of the risks undertaken by alpinists climbing the Matterhorn. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the first ascent of the ...

The Iranian Deal Ė Good, Bad Or Just Plain Ugly?
Post Date: 2015-04-07 18:05:27 by BTP Holdings
The Iranian Deal – Good, Bad Or Just Plain Ugly? by Bill white The Obama administration has announced that they’ve finally reached an agreement with Iran over their nuclear program. But what does that mean? Is it good or is it bad? A lot of that has to do with how you view it. According to the “fact sheet” put out by the White House, this deal pushes any of Iran’s plans for nuclear weapons development back years. But then, that requires believing the fact sheet. Considering the huge number of lies that have come out of this administration, one really has to stretch their imagination to believe them. Like anything else in politics, there’s more symbolism ...

When the SWAT team you founded kills your son-in-law

In 1974, Lawrence was elected sheriff of Davis County – in the northern suburbs of Salt Lake City. A year later, he launched the ...
