I stumbled across it while looking for solutions to secure the hinges of an outswinging door for a particularly paranoid (and frugal) client that I'm currently working for. I wouldn't recommend using too heavy of a zip-tie in case of emergency, and recommend removing the T-handle from the release rope, leaving enough to wrap around your hand to release in an emergency. There's a lot of other (and more expensive) ways to correct the problem. Lots more EweToob vids adressing this problem. Your situation and mileage may vary.
