Fun, luxuriant Mad tribute page
Post Date: 2022-01-22 08:19:07 by NeoconsNailed
This post wasn’t originally supposed to be a postmortem on Mad. In fact, I’d originally planned to run it on July 1st — which, if I’d followed through, would have seen it beat the news of Mad‘s impending demise (at least as a purveyor of new material) by a couple of days. That would have made for a timely, even prescient post, rather than one that may seem like it’s bringing up the rear, commentary-wise — and at some distance, at that. Was I planning to blog about an earlier issue, then? Actually, no. While I haven’t been able to find actual on-sale dates for Mad during this era, a perusal of the magazine’s contents over a period of months ...

Toyota’s Corolla Manga Series Sadly Demonstrates the Devolution of Human Society
Post Date: 2022-01-04 10:03:13 by Ada
The first Corolla was released in 1969. And although we all understand that the newer vehicles are mechanically superior, as a result of the development of technology, the car – like every other car – has gotten consistently uglier over the last five decades. The transformation is actually so extreme as to be almost incomprehensible. Looking at the difference between the 1969 model and the current generation model, you feel like you’re looking at the difference between a 16-year-old girl and a 66-year-old woman, in terms of physical attractiveness. Let’s just go through all of the various models. Click for Full Text!

DON'T READ! ........................ I SAID DON'T READ THIS! ..................................... You insist? Great. No, it's not the video linked above titled '10 Celebs Who ABSOLUTELY HATE Clint Eastwood', though that's juicy enough. Under a comment up top by one Freddy Herrera beginning "I'm a fan and always will be" are a pile of replies, including these by Stephen Ryder: My dear, very young and very ignorant civilian who knows nothing about art, show business, drama, acting, the history of film or much of anything else on the subject on which you chose to opine. I'm only 12 years younger than Mr. Eastwood. I spent forty years in show ...

Aleena says, "Hi!" Her hand on my shoulder feels better than the Reapers. Maybe if I can get her legs back under her from the trauma that she's dealing with as a nurse, we can date or something. I'm a pretty grizzled up old fart.
