The last airmen who took part in the daring Doolittle Raid during World War II has died. Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Dick Cole, who served as Army Lt. Col. James Doolittle's co-pilot during the raid, passed away on Tuesday at 103 years old. His death was first reported by Air Force Magazine's John Tirpak. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein paid tribute to Cole on Tuesday at the 35th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Goldfein told audience members he had just visited Cole on Monday night in Texas. "I told him our Air Force was thinking about him and his family because we're so proud to carry the torch that he and his fellow Raiders handed us," ...

They got outside and the hats flew up in the air. The Town Marshals grabbed them and threw them out on the street and said, "Git home."

Poster Comment:Anything to do with the Chicago Outfit helps me to remember growing up in Chicago since the meningitis wiped out a lot of my memory. The way I got in the page was telling a story about an old guy I knew who was knocking over speak-easy's during Prohibition. He told me Capone put the hit on them. So they took it on the lamb to Boston. He said they got back about a month later and Capone's boys grabbed them and brought them in front of Big Al. He told me, "We were standing there with our hats in our hands, "We're sorry Mr. Capone. We won't ever do it again." And Capone says, "Yeah? Well hit somebody else's joints. Now get outta ...

This Stone Age settlement took humanity's first steps toward city life

Settled more than 9,000 years ago in Turkey, C'atalhoyuk focused on farming with the seeds of urban living planted at its heart. Beginning in the 1960s, work at C'atalhoyuk (in central Turkey) has unearthed numerous levels of close-knit households where a large community of people lived during the Stone Age as humanity began to reject nomadic life. The Konya Plain stretches for hundreds of miles across central Turkey. Almost 60 years ago, in a remote spot some 30 miles from the regional capital of Konya, a team of archaeologists began exploring two small hills. A fork in a local footpath and the two mounds themselves gave the site its modern name. Fork (c'atal ...

Charles Beard: Punished for Seeking Peace

His reputation was savaged because he had the temerity to question the 'Good War' narrative. Charles Austin Beard: The Return of the Master Historian of American Imperialism, Richard Drake, Cornell University Press, 336 pages Charles Austin Beard: The Return of the Master Historian of American Imperialism is a new book by Richard Drake, himself an accomplished historian who teaches at the University of Montana. Although an estimable study, I can predict with certainty that it won’t be making The New York Times’s bestseller list. The problem is not with the book, but with its protagonist. Even though today Charles Beard is all but forgotten, he remains a reviled and ...

Things that used to be true before political correctness set in: More whites were brought as slaves to North Africa than blacks brought as slaves to the United States www.hannenabintuherland.com/europe/larry-elder-more-whites-were-brought-as-slaves-to-north-africa-than-blacks-brought-as-slaves-to-the-united-states-herland-report/ Before sending ignorant hate mail, consider these Wikipedia entries: “The Barbary slave trade refers to the slave markets that were lucrative and vast on the Barbary Coast of North Africa, which included the Ottoman provinces of Algeria, Tunisia and Tripolitania and the independent sultanate of Morocco, between the 16th and middle of the 18th century. ...

The Persecution of Maria Koppensteiner for Being Hitler’s Cousin

By Ingrid Rimland (1997) This happened — and not during Hitler’s time either. It happened when “liberation” came to Europe. Maria Koppensteiner was arrested at her home in Austria by the Secret State Police, along with her three brothers. She was soon deported to a concentration camp in the east, where she was “interrogated” by professional inquisitors. During her long ordeal between “interrogations”, Maria was kept in a dirty, black, abysmal, cold and damp dungeon, where she was denied even the company of fellow prisoners. She was deprived of sleep. She was allowed no contact with the remaining members of her family. She was not allowed to write ...

Revelations from Goebbels' Diary

Bringing to Light Secrets of Hitler's Propaganda Minister At the last IHR Conference, in October 1992, I spoke about my visit to the secret Soviet state archives in Moscow, where I found the private diary of Dr. Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi Propaganda Minister, microfilmed on eighteen hundred glass plates. [See: D. Irving, “The Suppressed Eichmann and Goebbels Papers,” March–April 1993 Journal, pp. 14–25.] I can’t tell you just who tipped me off about this, as it would breach confidentiality, but there are certain German historians who are friendly to me, and one of them tipped me that the material was just waiting to be found by someone. I went to Moscow and ...

Brian Snoddy with Special Guest Rod MacKenzie: JFK, The Killers

Longtime Kennedy assassination researcher Brian Snoddy connects the dots regarding the cast of characters involved in the plot to kill JFK. Examining the evidence of who was on the various shooter teams and their connections to various mob organizations, government agencies, deep state actors, and high level public and military officials, he sheds light on who would have a motive and how they were able to take out the President of the United States and get away with it. The video also features the special guest Rod MacKenzie who was the actual witness from whom this story originated. Some people are apparently irritated that the "old man" seems to be constantly ...

The true investigation of how the U.S. military recruited Japanese germ warfare scientists and Nazi space weapons developers 04/30/2018 / By Ethan Huff The Japanese government recently released the names of more than 3,000 former members of the infamous germ warfare unit of the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA), which conducted heinous lethal experiments on innocent Chinese and Allied civilians during World War II. And with this ”data dump” comes a fresh reminder as to how the American government actually hired these war criminals, as well as members of the Nazi party, to expand its own space program in the aftermath of the global conflict. As laid out in thorough detail by ...

Hitler's Germany: More Democratic Than Modern-Day Europe

AMIDST MUCH TALK of the Brexit Referendum media has little to say about the only European nation that actually practised democracy for the people by the people. Hitler’s Germany not only invited the electorate to participate in running their own country, they did so with considerable success. In all matters of national importance in National-Socialist Germany (1933 – 1945) the Reichstag’s elected assembly were careful to invite the opinion of the German electorate to endorse their parliament’s decisions and to give it their final stamp of approval. Such democracy had never before or since been practised anywhere in Europe, although Switzerland and Austria have since ...

On August 14, 1983, President Ronald Reagan signed the La Paz Treaty for border environmental cooperation with Mexico (TIAS 10827). The treaty created an international zone over the border creating geographically defined region under management of the Mexican and American EPA agencies. 1983 was also the year of the meeting in Bangkok, Thailand that initiated the Uruguay Round of trade trade talks. With the benefit of hindsight, the positioning towards a common market of the Americas is obvious. Participation in a common market organization the way this was done is a treasonous subversion of national sovereignty. Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation The establishment of the Asia-Pacific ...

Did Ulysses Grant Own and Rent Slaves?
Post Date: 2019-02-10 12:21:39 by Ada

Even among the most Grant-partial historians there’s no denying that Ulysses Grant and his wife owned slaves prior to the Civil War. In fact, “Ulysses Grant” is the correct answer to a crafty American history trivia question that asks: “Can you name the last slaveholding President?” As growing political correctness causes our culture to increasingly condemn historical figures connected with slavery, Grant supporters are scrambling for explanations to exempt him from denunciation. Foremost among these are his role in defeating the Confederacy and his (suspect) advocacy for minority civil rights during his presidency. But Grant fans also try to explain away his ...

Pulled this out of my archives -- I produced it for John Judge in 1992, and it's as gripping to listen to now as it was then. Col. Prouty was a high level, military insider who saw what was going on behind the curtain. Definitely worth watching (or listening to) if you want to hear some REAL history. He talks about JFK, 'Murder, Inc.', the Vietnam War, the Korean War, how they smuggled Nazi intelligence officers into our military to help us start the cold war, and lots more. Plenty of eye openers here. Oh, the 'high cabal' is talked about, too. Sorry about the quality. I pulled it off an old VHS tape. But don't let that stop you. You definitely want to hear Col. ...

Napoleon's Great Blunder: Spain 1808

In 1808, Napoleon's rivalry with Britain led to an ill-fated intervention in Portugal and Spain, that sparked a nationalist revolt against the French. At Bailén Napoleon's Empire suffered its first major defeat, and though Napoleon himself then arrived in Spain to reassert French military dominance, he could not prevent the escape of Sir John Moore's small British army, after its defensive victory at Corunna on 16 January 1809. The British army would return, under new leadership, to play a major part in his downfall.

Statement by the President on the Gun Control Bill

YESTERDAY the Congress adopted most of my recommendations for a comprehensive gun control law. I am glad that the public will now be protected against the indiscriminate mail-order sales of rifles, shotguns, pistols, and ammunition. I am sorry, however, that Congress did not adopt two important recommendations--to require the registration of guns and the licensing of gunowners. In a nation with over 160 million guns--almost four times as many firearms as families--registration and licensing would have brought far greater protection to the people. But the voices of the gun lobby prevailed for the moment and these safeguards were defeated. So now we must and will continue to work toward the ...
