I'm Your Huckleberry If you're like me, you have seen the movie "Tombstone" about 100 times. I have always wondered, what does Doc Holiday mean when he says, "I'm your huckleberry". Curious to know? Me to! Here is what I found while researching my answer. Poster Comment:You're no daisy either.

How Wyatt Earp Murdered Curly Bill Brocious?
Post Date: 2018-08-18 20:35:51 by BTP Holdings

One of the most famous rivalries in Old West history is that of the Earp brothers and the "Cowboys". Viewers of the movies "Tombstone" or "Wyatt Earp" will know the basic sequence of events, from the alley behind the OK Corral shootout to the assassination of Morgan Earp, attack on Virgil Earp, and ultimately Wyatt's Vendetta Ride. The end of that ride culminated at the showdown between Wyatt Earp and Curly Bill Brocious. Alas, both movies really do a very poor job of representing how that showdown actually went down. Why does Hollywood do that, when the real story is just as interesting? We have no idea...so we went to the site of the event to show ...

The Death of Historical Accuracy

Dinesh D’Souza’s Movie, “Death of a Nation” In case you haven’t heard, there is a new “conservative” film out; it is titled “Death of a Nation: Can We Save America a Second Time?” Its director and screenwriter is Dinesh D’Souza, the word-measuring figure who occasionally shows up on Fox to talk in pious tones about “conservatism.” He is the movie producer who, by his own admission, has done as much as anyone to shape (in an almost ahistorical manner) perceptions about American history and the Founding Principles that have supposedly guided this country. And, in his latest cinematic adventure he stunningly compares the ...

This video is long winded. I have to go through and show how the death of Phil Graham may have not been a suicide and how that research led me to find the photo that proves that George H.W. Bush is guilty of treason and was an accomplice in the murder of John F. Kennedy in 1963.

10 Common Slavery Myths

There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding the institution of slavery, especially here in the United States. These myths often serve pernicious political purposes that can be highly detrimental to a proper conception of history. So here are 10 of those myths debunked in no particular order. For general reference and mistakes: -I'm tired of all the racism in the comments, so they are now disabled - if you have a comment, here is a comment response video: https://youtu.be/Rzs62Y0qJ0o 1 - one example of white slavery I could have mentioned were the Amerindian slavers of Tans-Mississippi West, who would raid Spanish/Mexican colonies and visa/versa - but that is way too complicated for ...

Red River Scrapbook: West with the Overland Mail

It cut the travel time from the Mississippi River to the Golden Gate by at least 75 percent. It was expensive, more money than the average working man made in three months, but it was the only way to go. It was the first passenger and mail service to join the two halves of the great North American continent; it was the Overland Mail Company, the Butterfield stage. California had become part of the United States during the Mexican War. Gold had been discovered in 1849 and by 1850 California was in the Union, and the tranquil, quiet existence that had marked the land when it was part of Spain and later Mexico had evaporated as thousands trekked west, seeking fortune. The clamor in the ...

Weapons that Won the American Revolutionary War By: Friedrich Seiltgen On July Fourth, we commemorate the United States’ liberation from England. And of course, our independence would not have been possible without firearms, an essential element of our nation’s history since day one – literally. Here we pay tribute to the Colonial “assault weapons” that freed us from the tyrannical rule of King George III: The Brown Bess The Brown Bess, or “British Land Pattern Musket,” was one of the most commonly used weapons of the American War of Independence. This .75 caliber smoothbore flintlock rifle weighed-in at around 10.5 pounds and fired a musket ball to a ...

How One Man Fled European War, Only to Experience Custer’s Last Stand By: Randy Tucker War clouds loomed for central Europe. It’s a familiar scene over the past century for trouble to brew on the border separating France and Germany. But this was the first time, and the tension came soon after Germany unified in 1870. Otto von Bismarck did the impossible in unifying nearly a thousand little city-states, principalities, and mini-kingdoms into what was to become modern Germany. On paper, the French were heavily favored. The French Army was equipped with the 11mm Chassepot, the first breech loading rifle taken in military service by the French. Its rate of fire, eight to 15 ...

The Rothschild family is a wealthy family descending from Mayer Amschel Rothschild, a court Jew to the German Landgraves of Hesse-Kassel, in the Free City of Frankfurt, who established his banking business in the 1760s. The Balfour Declaration was a letter dated 2 November 1917 from the United Kingdom's Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour to Walter Rothschild, 2nd Baron Rothschild, a leader of the British Jewish community, for transmission to the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland. It read: "His Majesty's government view with favors the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the ...

American Pravda: The Bolshevik Revolution and Its Aftermath

100 anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution, 1917-2017 Although I always had a great interest in history, I naively believed what I read in my textbooks, and therefore regarded American history as just too bland and boring to study. By contrast, one land I found especially fascinating was China, the world’s most populous country and its oldest continuous civilization, with a tangled modern history of revolutionary upheaval, then suddenly reopened to the West during the Nixon Administration and under Deng’s economic reforms starting to reverse decades of Maoist economic failure. In 1978 I took a UCLA graduate seminar on the rural Chinese political economy, and probably read ...

The story of Texas springs

The Texas of 10,000 years ago was different from the Texas of today. There were no glistening skyscrapers or churning oil derricks; no frustrating traffic jams or buzzing airports; or no all-knowing interwebs or sizzling Whataburgers (ah, yes: the good ‘ole days—except for the lack of Whataburgers!). But Texas was like the Texas of today in that there was water—and there were people that relied upon it. No one knows precisely when or how the first humans set foot in the Americas, but archaeologists generally agree that the first Americans walked across a land bridge connecting Siberia to Alaska during an ice age some 25,000 years ago. Not surprisingly, water factored ...

TWO HUNGARIAN TOURISTS have admitted to trying to steal bricks from the ruins of a crematorium at the site of the former Nazi German death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, according to police. The 30-year-old woman and 36-year-old man were caught yesterday when another pair of foreign tourists saw them stuffing the bricks into a bag and notified security. “The man and woman were charged with theft of a cultural asset. They both admitted to wrongdoing,” said regional police press officer Mateusz Drwal. “They explained that they had wanted to bring back a souvenir and didn’t realise the consequences of their actions,” he told the Polish news agency PAP. Based on Dr. Kroth's new book of the same title, he explains how Trump's dramatic disclosure of secret JFK files in 2017-18 changes our understanding of virtually everything. These documents are added to what we learned from the CIA's own Howard Hunt who made a deathbed confession in 2007 which implicated LBJ. Hunt's confession and Trump's JFK secret releases are absolutely revelatory. BERLIN — The organization that handles claims on behalf of Jews who suffered under the Nazis says Germany has agreed to pay another 75 million euros ($88 million) to fund social welfare services for Holocaust survivors. The New York-based Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany said Tuesday that brings total funding next year to 480 million euros to help survivors as they grow older and more frail. Claims Conference negotiator Greg Schneider says "these elderly heroes deserve the recognition that increased payments and much-needed services will provide." Germany also agreed to increase pensions paid to 55,000 Holocaust survivors in Central and Eastern Europe, ...

The Story of a Sioux Woman Whose Song Touched Both Custer’s Last Stand and the Normandy Invasion By: Randy Tucker She heard the sound of a huge fire spreading over the top of the village. As the little girl ran to her grandmother, she caught the first smell of strange smoke coming from the direction of the noise. In her four-year-old mind, it could only be one thing: a huge prairie fire. What she heard and smelled was huge, but it was no fire, at least not in the natural sense. As men of George Custer’s doomed 7th Cavalry engaged the outraged Sioux and Cheyenne warriors on the banks of the Greasy Grass on an unbearably hot day in late June 1876, the little girl had no idea how ...
