GLENN GREENWALD: As the Insurrection Narrative Crumbles, Democrats Cling to it More Desperately Than Ever:
Post Date: 2021-03-07 18:53:22 by Ada
If the threat of armed insurrectionists and domestic terrorists is as great as some claim, why do they have to keep lying and peddling crude media fictions about it? Twice in the last six weeks, warnings were issued about imminent, grave threats to public safety posed by the same type of right-wing extremists who rioted at the Capitol on January 6. And both times, these warnings ushered in severe security measures only to prove utterly baseless. First we had the hysteria over the violence we were told was likely to occur at numerous state capitols on Inauguration Day. Law enforcement and state officials are on high alert for potentially violent protests in ...

More than 42,000 people died in traffic accidents in 2020 - an eight percent increase despite more people than ever working from home
Post Date: 2021-03-07 13:54:47 by Horse
Pandemic lockdowns and stay-at-home orders kept many drivers off U.S. roads and highways last year. But those who did venture out found open lanes that only invited reckless driving, leading to a sharp increase in traffic-crash deaths across the country.

Its sad to say, but some people just have to learn the hard way. A polish doctor died just days after taking the experimental COVID injection. The cause of death, we are told, was heart failure. However, whats most ironic is that he recorded a video of his injection while mocking anti-vaxxers. Poster Comment:Anyone speak Polish?

Jewish orgs' 'dirty laundry'
Post Date: 2021-03-07 12:05:14 by AdaC
Donors' oligarch link Dozens of New Yorks Jewish organizations have had their bottom lines bolstered by two businessmen accused of laundering billions for a Burisma-connected Ukrainian oligarch, public records show. Mordechai Korf, 48, and Uri Laber, 49, have shelled out more than $11 million to nearly 70 yeshivas and religious charities in Brooklyn and across the state, according to federal tax filings. But Korf and Laber are more than just generous benefactors: since 2006, the Miami-based pair have allegedly been middlemen for Ukrainian billionaire Ihor Kolomoisky, funneling $4 billion of his ill-gotten gains to buy property and businesses in the U.S, according to three civil ...
Pfizer CEO’s Israel visit cancelled because he is unvaccinated – report
Post Date: 2021-03-07 11:20:06 by Horse
Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla has cancelled his expected visit to Israel, after it turned out he was not vaccinated against coronavirus, N12 reported Friday. The report noted that Bourla, as well as members of the delegation that was meant to accompany him during his visit, have not received the second dose of the vaccine. As a result, it was decided to delay the visit by several days, which also posed a logistic challenge because of the upcoming Israeli elections. Bourla said in December that he has not yet received the vaccine yet because he does not want to cut in line, and would wait until his age group is next in line for getting vaccinated. As such, he has received the first ...

Who truly was the most dishonest president?
Post Date: 2021-03-07 09:35:49 by Ada
Former President Donald Trump was often accused of having a complete disregard for the truth. Yet some of his predecessors' falsehoods ranged from the bizarre to the horrifying. So how does Trump truly compare? When Saddam Hussein invaded the oil-rich emirate of Kuwait in August 1990, President George HW Bush snarled: "This will not stand." But as US troops were scrambled to the Gulf, the American public was dubious about the justification for military action. The Kuwaiti government-in-exile promptly hired a US public relations firm, Hill & Knowlton, whose Washington DC office was run by Bush's former chief of staff. The PR firm coached a purported witness, ...
America Sours on BLM: Only 28% of Whites Believe George Floyd was “Murdered”
Post Date: 2021-03-07 08:43:52 by Ada
The majority of people have officially soured on the black agenda. At this point, everyone has seen the arrest videos of George Floyd, and everyone has witnessed enough violent black destruction, that the entire BLM agenda has stopped making sense to all but a few diehard true believers. It will take some time before people are ready to admit it to each other, but theyre at the point where theyre ready to admit it to pollsters: the entire hysteria of 2020 was the result of a trauma- induced state, and it did not represent the actual views of the mob. It has been suggested that we will have a market correction before Income Taxes are due on April 15th. On one hand some suggest that a crash will force people to sell to pay taxes. On the other hand some think a crash will give taxpayers deductible losses which will cut IRS revenues. Bonus thought: A Minsky moment is when investors sell the good stuff to pay for the bad stuff. That could happen in April if margin calls have to be met to cover tanking stocks like Tesla. Personally, I am not in the stock market.

Numbers In The New CDC Report DESTROY The Case For Mask Mandates
Post Date: 2021-03-07 07:40:35 by Horse
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report Friday in which it quietly admitted that the mask mandates in America were allegedly responsible for less than a 2 percent decrease in COVID case growth after ONE HUNDRED DAYS. But still the CDC advises wearing masks, despite their own numbers. (READ: CDC Caught Inflating COVID Death Numbers By At Least 1600 Percent While Trump Was President). The CDC claims that between March 1 and December 31 of 2020 the mask mandates, which were executed in the vast majority of United States counties, stopped COVID case growth rates by one half of one percent after 20 days and by less than 2 percent after 100 days. Gun Control Is Not about Crime Control
Post Date: 2021-03-07 07:39:41 by Ada
With Democrats in control of Congress and the White House, Americans can expect a series of progressive bills to be introduced. In a budget reconciliation process, the bills can be passed in the U.S. Senate with a simple majority. This is what happened with the $1.9-trillion monstrosity known as the COVID-19 relief bill. Fortunately, most legislation does not qualify for this designation and will require a 60-vote threshold in the U.S. Senate to pass. With such a requirement, it would seem the future looks bleak for the newly introduced Background Checks Expansion Act (BCEA). This gun control legislation will be subject to a Senate filibuster unless U.S. senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) ...
Senate Passes $1.9 Trillion Stimulus Package; Here Are The Differences From House Version
Post Date: 2021-03-07 07:35:16 by Horse
Update 1800ET: Goldman is out with a short but handy list of the primary differences between the original version of the $1.9 trillion stimulus passed by the House, and the amended version passed by the Senate which is heading back to the House for approval: Individuals with incomes of $75k or less ($150k for couples) still qualify for the $1,400 payments, but in the Senate version eligibility fully phases out beyond $80k/$160k in income, compared to $100k/$200k in the House version. The bill extends eligibility for enhanced unemployment insurance (UI) benefits through September 6 and maintains the weekly top-up payment of $300. The House-passed bill would have extended benefits through ...
Uh-oh! They let Biden get in front of a microphone again
Post Date: 2021-03-07 07:34:25 by Ada
Even ten minutes reading from a teleprompter on a Saturday afternoon was too much for the 45th President of the United States. I suppose his handlers figured that it was important to mark Senate passage of the nearly $2 trillion pork-laden, blue state-bailing out stimulus bill with some presidential remarks. It may, after all, turn out to be the high point of the Biden presidency, since Senate passage of the rest of the Biden agenda looks iffy, now that Senators Manchin and Sinema have stated their opposition to ending the filibuster. But how much longer will the American people accept the spectacle of their command-in-chief visibly incapable of coherence? Its painful to ...
