While the Church of England the largest Christian denomination in the United Kingdom is stopping short of calling its newly instituted blessing for transgenders a second baptism, priests are being directed to offer baptism-style ceremonies for those announcing their new sexual identity. In a newly issued pastoral guidance, clergy are being told to call men by their new female names, and women by their new male names. The guidance declares, For a trans person to be addressed liturgically by the minister for the first time by their chosen name may be a powerful moment in the service. The Sam Adams Award and Me Post Date: 2018-12-13 09:29:21 by Ada

I am indeed honored to have received the 2018 Sam Adams Award, and as with so many things, timing is everything. The Rob Reiner movie was released in the US last summer, a very watchable drama documenting US government fabulations on the road to the Iraq war in 2002 and 2003. Constructed by government political appointees and politicians, foisted on the American people, heavy lifting courtesy of the New York Times and the Washington Post, and the television news, rendered most of the country either willfully or blissfully ignorant. Of course, too many of our countrymen and women, and large parts of Iraq were simply rendered, fat and black oil burning, sizzling, stinking, ...

The PRC Should Retaliate by Targeting Sheldon Adelson's Chinese Casinos As most readers know, Im not a casual political blogger and I prefer producing lengthy research articles rather than chasing the headlines of current events. But there are exceptions to every rule, and the looming danger of a direct worldwide clash with China is one of them. Consider the arrest last week of Meng Wanzhou, the CFO of Huawei, the worlds largest telecom equipment manufacturer. While flying from Hong Kong to Mexico, Ms. Meng was changing planes in the Vancouver International Airport airport when she was suddenly detained by the Canadian government on an August US warrant. Although now ...

Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., over border wall funding amid a looming government shutdown, Pelosi reportedly questioned the president's "manhood" to colleagues behind closed doors, The Washington Post reports. The turmoil surrounding Brexit has left many feeling utterly baffled about the state of British politics - and it appears Chrissy Teigen is no exception. The American star, 33, prompted a hilarious discussion on the goings-on of Parliament when she revealed her 'brain cannot grasp' how the system works. Hoping for clarity, the model and celebrity author turned to her 10.7million Twitterfollowers - only to be told that many of them are equally as confused. Others tried to shed light on the situation by sharing their cutting analogies for the current state of affairs, with 'flaming rubbish bin' mentioned more than once. The End of France as We Know It? Post Date: 2018-12-12 10:37:11 by Ada

When an event grabs headlines like the protests in France have I temper my reactions to it. I didnt give the Yellow Vest protests much thought at first wanting to see where they would lead. Protests like this and even bigger ones like Catalonian independence are invariably betrayed by the European political establishment. They become an excuse to move towards tighter control more cops, more surveillance, crackdowns on free speech, etc. So, sometimes its hard to separate the manufactured reality show from the spontaneous uprising of human frustration. But after the past two weekends of violent protests, after the French government backed down on the new diesel tax ...
Soros Mimics Hitler’s Bankers: Will Burden Europeans With Debt To ‘Save’ Them Post Date: 2018-12-12 09:18:59 by Ada

George Soros is dissatisfied with the current EU refugee policy because it is still based on quotas. After the Second World War, many economists racked their brains to answer the question of how Hitler managed to finance his armament, boost the economy and reduce unemployment. Today his trick is well known. The economic miracle of Führers time became possible thanks to the so-called Mefo promissory notes. The notes were the idea of the then President of the Reichsbank, Hjalmar Schacht, and served not only to finance the armament of the Wehrmacht for the Second World War, but also to create state jobs, which would otherwise not have been possible through the normal use of the ...
The Indiscreet Charm of the Gilets Jaunes Post Date: 2018-12-12 08:55:38 by Ada

So it appears the privatization of France isnt going quite as smoothly as planned. As I assume you are aware, for over a month now, the gilets jaunes (or yellow vests), a multiplicitous, leaderless, extremely pissed off, confederation of working class persons, have been conducting a series of lively protests in cities and towns throughout the country to express their displeasure with Emmanuel Macron and his efforts to transform their society into an American-style neo-feudal dystopia. Highways have been blocked, toll booths commandeered, luxury automobiles set on fire, and shopping on the Champs-Élysées disrupted. What began as a suburban tax revolt has ...
China to Canada: Trampling on the rights of Chinese citizens comes with a high cost Post Date: 2018-12-12 06:59:11 by Tatarewicz

China Daily) The international community is deeply shocked by what occurred in Canadaa country that claims to always stand up for human rights. A Chinese citizen transferring flights in Vancouver, Meng Wanzhou, the chief financial officer of the Chinese tech firm Huawei Technologies, was arbitrarily detained in Canada at the behest of the United States. The vile act was a serious violation of the lawful rights and interests of a Chinese citizen, triggering a tornado of criticism and creating unnecessary tensions between the two countries. In a commentary bylined Zhong Sheng ("Voice of China"), the Peoples Daily sternly condemned the act by Canada and the US, saying ...
Incredible story of how Titanic was REALLY found: Oceanographer says US Navy funded his search for 'unsinkable' liner because it provided perfect Cold War cover for his other task - to find two missing US nuclear subs before the Russians Post Date: 2018-12-11 17:02:10 by Horse

Thunman agreed to fund the Titanic expedition on one condition - that Ballard use the money and the time to also locate two nuclear submarines that went missing in the Atlantic in the 1960s. On April 10, 1963, the USS Thresher sank during deep-diving tests more than 200 miles off the coast of Boston. All 129 crew and shipyard personnel died. Five years later, 99 crewmen died when their submarine, the USS Scorpion, mysteriously disappeared near the Azores, a Portuguese archipelago some 1,000 miles west of the European continent.

If Donald Trump told Michael Cohen to pay hush money to Stormy Daniels about a one-night stand a decade ago, that, says Jerome Nadler, incoming chair of House Judiciary, would be an impeachable offense. This tells you what social media, cable TV and the great herd of talking heads will be consumed with for the next two years the peccadillos and misdeeds of Trump, almost all of which occurred before being chosen as president of the United States. Everywhere President Trump looks, writes The Washington Times Rowan Scarborough, there are Democrats targeting him from New York to Washington to Maryland

Pentagon accounting ‘error’: US taxpayer foots fuel bill for Saudi jets pounding Yemen (VIDEO) Post Date: 2018-12-11 16:52:08 by Horse

MIDDLE EAST Pentagon accounting errors have led to the US taxpayer footing the bill for years of refueling for Saudi jets bombing Yemen. The oversight makes the US' support for Riyadh's air campaign even more intolerable, an analyst told RT. The Pentagon has acknowledged that the Department of Defense failed to charge the Saudi-led coalition adequately for fuel and refueling services as Gulf state warplanes rained bombs on Yemen. The size of the error naturally compounded over the more than three years that the US offered its services, resulting in an unpaid invoice that likely totals tens of millions of dollars.

Europe Has A New Problem: Macron's "Populism" To Blow Out French Budget Deficit Far Beyond Italy's Post Date: 2018-12-11 13:29:44 by Horse

As if Brussels didn't have its hands full already with Italy and the UK, the European Union will soon be forced to rationalize why one of its favorite core members is allowed to pursue populist measures to blow out its budget deficit to ease domestic unrest while another is threatened with fines potentially amounting to billions of euros. Macron When blaming Russia failed to quell the widespread anger elicited by his policies, French President Emmanuel Macron tried to appease the increasingly violent "yellow vests" protesters who have sacked his capital city by offering massive tax cuts that could blow the French budget out beyond the 3% budget threshold outlined in the ...
The Fateful Arrest That Could Poison America’s Relationship With China By busting Meng Wanzhou, Trump is signaling that he expects to dictate to every nation, no matter how powerful. Post Date: 2018-12-11 08:21:15 by Ada

Amid controversy over a maybe yes/maybe no ceasefire in Donald Trumps trade war with China, the United States engineered the arrest by Canada of a top Chinese executive for allegedly busting U.S. sanctions on Iran. The detention sparked outrage in Beijing, which threatened Canada with grave consequences if Meng Wanzhou is not released. Huawei Technologies Co. is one of Chinas international behemoths, a telecom firm that now sells more smartphones than Apple. The arrest of Meng, the founders daughter and Huaweis chief financial officer, was not for committing a genuine crime against Americans, but rather for allegedly lying over Huaweis connection ...

Chinese media reports that the situation in the South China Sea is expected grow more intense over the coming year, with one senior military official also declaring that China should be prepared to attack United States naval vessels, should the U.S. violate Chinese territorial waters. Dai Xu (戴旭), who is President of the Institute of Marine Safety and Cooperation, as well as a PLA Air Force Colonel Commandant, was quoted by the tabloid Global Times saying the following. "If the U.S. warships break into Chinese waters again, I suggest that two warships should be sent: one to stop it, and another one to ram it

PressTV... China has ratcheted up its protest over the arrest of an executive of telecom giant Huawei on a US warrant in Canada, calling reports of her treatment "inhumane" as she seeks her release on bail for health reasons. China's latest tirade over the case came as Meng Wanzhou, the daughter of the company's founder, faces a Canadian court's decision on bail later Monday in Vancouver. Meng's arrest on December 1 has infuriated Beijing, rocking stock markets and raising tensions amid a truce in the US-China trade war. A Chinese vice foreign minister summoned the US and Canadian ambassadors at the weekend, demanding that the US withdraw its arrest warrant ...

Sypers... I can confirm to my readers that the Russian Defense Ministry sees no point in delaying the inevitable reconquest of Idlib Province and its restoration to the writ of the central government in Damascus. The Syrian military warned Russia about this conclusion months ago as preparations were being made to negotiate a solution in Socchi. As of now, over 150,000 Syria Army soldiers are preparing a three-pronged assault on Hay`at Tahreer Al-Shaam and its allies. Expect full coordination with the Russian Air Force. I can also confirm that most of the areas to be bombed by the RuAF and the SAF have been conveniently depopulated in accordance with a plan to provide citizens with ...
