(China Daily USA) Canadians traveling to China will now be eligible for a 10-year visa from the Chinese government. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced the new visa on Sunday. In addition to being valid for up to 10 years, it will ease travel, reduce costs and cut down on delays and preparation time for trips to China, according to Ed Fast, minister of International Trade for Canada. "(The) announcement of multiple-entry visas will greatly benefit Canadians, from businesses to tourists to those visiting family members back in China," Fast said in a statement. The End of the Debt Cycle by Bill Bonner “It’s the end of the great debt cycle,” says hedge fund manager Ray Dalio of Bridgewater Associates, taking the words out of our mouth. Bond fund manager Bill Gross adds context: In the past 20 to 30 years, credit has grown to such an extreme globally that debt levels and the ability to service that debt are at risk. […] Why doesn’t the debt supercycle keep expanding? Because there are limits. Neither Mr. Dalio nor Mr. Gross nor we know precisely where those limits are. But the Europeans and the Japanese are rushing toward them. In Europe, bond yields are lower than they’ve ever been. Between $2 trillion and $3 ...

Gov't Operation Denies You Access to Guns & Gold Written by Damon Geller As first exposed by the Wall Street Journal, the Department of Justice and bank regulators are unconstitutionally pressuring banks to refuse banking services to perfectly legal industries, under the guise that they pose a “reputation risk” to the bank. Not surprisingly, two of the main industries targeted by this illegal program just happen to be two of the biggest threats to the federal government: guns and gold. That’s right, the federal government is actively trying to choke sellers of guns & precious metals out of the financial industry. The government's stunning objective with such ...

The China International Payment System (CIPS) is due to kick off this year, bringing the yuan a step closer to becoming a global trading currency, as the new system will make payment transfers just as easy as in dollars and euro. The launch is expected in September or October, depending on how tests go, a source told Reuters. Another person with direct knowledge of the matter said the goal is to start the first phase before December, Reuters reported. "The CIPS is ready now and China has selected 20 banks to do the testing, among which 13 banks are Chinese banks and the rest are subsidiaries of foreign banks," one of the sources told the agency. Yahoo... NEW YORK (AP) — Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson expects the price of oil to remain low over the next two years because of ample global supplies and relatively weak economic growth. "People need to kinda settle in for a while," Tillerson said at the company's annual investor conference in New York. In a presentation to investors outlining its business plans through 2017, Exxon assumes a price of $55 a barrel for global crude. That's $5 below where Brent crude, the most important global benchmark, traded on Wednesday. It's about half of what Brent averaged between 2011 and the middle of last year. The price of oil plunged in the second half of 2014 when it ...

High US oil stores could lower crude price

NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. has so much crude that it is running out of places to put it, and that could drive oil and gasoline prices even lower in the coming months. For the past seven weeks, the United States has been producing and importing an average of 1 million more barrels of oil every day than it is consuming. That extra crude is flowing into storage tanks, especially at the country's main trading hub in Cushing, Oklahoma, pushing U.S. supplies to their highest point in at least 80 years, the Energy Department reported last week. If this keeps up, storage tanks could approach their operational limits, known in the industry as "tank tops," by mid-April and send the ...

Sputnik... But then, why is oil production in the US is beating new records? Oil Advances in Price, Threats of Gas Supply Cuts to Europe Kristian Rouz – Global oil prices have stabilized near $60/bbl during this past week, while the US energy sector took a double blow as the major strike nearly paralyzed the work of crude storages and refineries from California through Texas, and the crude producers have been decommissioning drilling rigs 12 weeks straight already. American defense contractors now health care providers

Pravda... "Defense Contractor" is no longer a valid term for US weapons makers. American defense contractors now health care providers. 54640.jpeg References to the "military industrial complex" are agonizingly silly particularly since the man who coined the term --President Dwight Eisenhower--was as ruthless as his CIA director John Foster Dulles. According to the Miller Center at the University of Virginia, defense spending never fell below 50 percent of the US budget during Eisenhower's presidency. In fact, he increased spending on nuclear weapons. And it gets worse: "During his first year in office, Eisenhower authorized the CIA to deal with... Iran that ...

Want... Expert says the Chinese renminbi could be an alternative currency to the US dollar for BRICS nations, reports China's Global Times. Jayshree Sengupta, a senior fellow at the Observatory Researcher Foundation, said recently that while considering the three-year China-Russia currency swap deal which was signed in 2014, the time will come when the US dollar is abandoned. As China now trades with all member nations of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the renminbi should one day be powerful enough to match the dollar. Russia's Duma approved the deal to establish the New Development Bank, also called the BRICS ...

The Fed Exit Conundrum Thursday, 26 Feb 2015 07:13 AM By Tom Hutchinson “It’s easier to get into something than it is to get out of it.” The above phrase was uttered several years ago by former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld regarding military intervention. But the phrase is just as true in terms of the Federal Reserve Bank’s large scale involvement in the economy. Since the last recession, the Fed has injected more than $4 trillion into the banking system with its quantitative easing programs (QE) and, at the same time, held interest rates to historic all time low levels for more than six years now. That was the easy part. The markets, and the general public ...

JPMorgan Needs a Culture Change Brad Hoppmann | February 25, 2015 at 4:45 pm We know the big Wall Street banks are “Too Big to Fail.” Now we’re learning that JPMorgan Chase (JPM) may also be “Too Big to Manage.” This week, JPM finally admitted it has a problem. The bank has broken so many laws and regulations that it can no longer ignore the costs — which routinely add up to billions per year. Can CEO Jamie Dimon change the culture he created? He’d better, if he doesn’t want his empire chopped up into little pieces. *** JPM released its annual report this week and held an “Investor Day” event for its institutional shareholders and ...

Even though they have swathes of money, these insiders are getting what they want and need for free. They’re not spending a dime of their own. Spying Is Destroying the U.S. Economy We’ve thoroughly documented that unnecessary spying by the U.S. government is costing the American tech sector many billions of dollars … and the U.S. economy as a whole hundreds of billions of dollars. A new report confirmed key brands, including Cisco, Apple, Intel, and McAfee — among others — have been dropped from the Chinese government’s list of authorized brands, a Reuters report said Wednesday. *** ...

Based on a Feb. 5 communique, the two sides will cooperate on several fronts. In the naval sphere, China will reportedly manufacture a new icebreaker, new tugboats and new offshore patrol vessels for Argentina, the latter of which will probably be 1,800-ton P-18N corvettes. ...

Dear Diary, Please remember this warning when you go to the ATM to get cash… and there is none! While we were thinking about what was really going on with today’s strange new money system, a startling thought occurred to us. Our financial system could take a surprising and catastrophic twist that almost nobody imagines, let alone anticipates. Do you remember when a lethal tsunami hit the beaches of Southeast Asia, killing thousands of people and causing billions of dollars of damage? Well, just before the 80-foot wall of water slammed into the coast an odd thing happened: The water disappeared. The tide went out farther than anyone had ever seen before. Local fishermen ...
