Informative And Snarky
Post Date: 2017-08-12 16:37:24 by Ada

This book is extremely informative and a snarky assessment of the Washington establishment which is quite entertaining. As a libertarian, Stockman is not always a Trump supporter but he despises Washington and thinks Trump is what it deserves. While this book is mainly economic it makes a lot of political points which are quite insightful once you think about them. The first is that we basically have a planned economy run by the unelected governors of the Federal Reserve which he describes as a “Monetary Politburo.” They control money printing, debt creation, interest rates, and mandate continuing inflation with their inflation target of two percent. This constant inflation ...

Russian oil is expanding into Syria, Iraq and Iran

In general, Russia has the biggest share among foreign countries in securing preliminarily IPC oil fields in Iran by means of MoUs (totaling 9) and it is LUKOIL that won the most prolific ones (See Graph 1), in all likelihood a result of its long-standing ties to Iran which date back to the Caspian swap crude sales. Most fields that Russian companies will be involved in are brownfield - only Changuleh is a greenfield - and fall into the medium oil category. Graph 1. Russian Participation within the framework of the Iran Petroleum Contract. Iran is not the only Middle Eastern country that will witness an influx of Russian companies. Financial Presstitutes Cover Up for the Big Banks
Post Date: 2017-08-09 09:25:35 by Ada

The big New York banks no longer perform the banking function of lending to consumers and businesses. Thanks to government policies that foster increased financial concentration, banking incentives have changed fundamentally. The big banks today are focused on higher risk-return speculation and on trading and fee-based income. Banks don’t lend not because, as banks and their lobbys claim, of new capital requirement rules, but because their ability to lend is foreclosed by the fact that the big banks pay out all or more than all of their net income in dividends and buy-backs of their own stocks in order to drive up executives’ bonuses. The extraordinary payouts of earnings ...

Syrper A good article about the petro-dollar and Chinese policy regarding Saudi Arabia, I have omitted the first paragraphs because it’s stuff about the petro-dollar system and the accompanying US hegemony that all Syrpers know about. ARTICLE: “SAUDI VULNERABILITY The Saudis are the subject of occasional debate for a failed kingdom, a collapsed monarchy, a bankrupted nation, with finances bleeding red ink like never before in its brief history. Infighting has occurred to wrest the title of crown prince for Mohammed bin Salman (MbS), certain to have caused internal resentment and worse. The kingdom is depleting it financial reserves faster than it is the oil reserves. Deficits ...

Trump: Another Nixon?

Approximately two months before the election on September 10th I locked down the final draft of my book, Trumped! In the opening sentence I ventured the following opinion, which was most certainly not in the mainstream at the time: FIRST THERE WERE 17. THEN LITTLE MARCO, LOW ENERGY JEB AND LYIN’ Ted were gone. At length, there was one. And now there is even a chance he may become President. That he did, and contrary to all expectations, too. But now there is an excellent chance that Mike Pence will become the 46th occupant of that office. This time the pundits do see it coming. That’s because they are complicit — functioning as self-appointed magistrates of a recount of ...

Fake News A US Media Speciality

The American media specializes in fake news. Indeed, since the Clinton regime the American media has produced nothing but fake news. Do you remember the illegal US bombing and destruction of Yugoslavia? Do you remember “war criminal” Slobodan Milosevic, the Serbian president branded “the butcher of the Balkans,” who was compared to Hitler until Hillary passed the title on to the President of Russia? Milosevic, not Bill Clinton, was arrested and placed on trial at the International Criminal Tribunal. He died in prison, some say murdered, before he was cleared of charges by the International Criminal Tribunal. http://www.globalresearch.ca/milosevic-and- ...

U.S. STATES ENACT PRO GOLD AND SILVER MEASURES

Poster Comment:I do not necessarily like the fact that states are going to form precious metals depositories. It is better to keep the metals yourself rather than in a central location. This prevents you from potential government seizure. And now that the several states are all subdivisions of the corporate parent, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, they must comply with all federal demands.

Former Fed Chief Alan Greenspan said "abnormally low" interest rates will break a bubble in the bond markets. Greenspan is famous for warning markets about "irrational exuberance" and the consequences it can bring. Alan Greenspan: Interest rates on government bonds have never been lower Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan issued a bold warning Friday that the bond market is on the cusp of a collapse that also will threaten stock prices. In a CNBC interview, the long-time central bank chief said the prolonged period of low interest rates is about to end and, with it, a bull market in fixed income that has lasted more than three decades. How corrupt are Ivy League admissions? A Harvard dean described the situation as “unprecedented.” But should we really be so surprised at this behavior among the students at America’s most prestigious ...

RI... The Gulf Region will sell crude oil in non-USD terms on a widespread basis and significant scale The Chinese Government is greatly irritated by the requirement to use US Dollars in payment for crude oil in the global market. The Beijing officials finally have some leverage in arranging for a major deal to pay for crude oil in RMB currency, their Yuan. The negotiations have been in progress for a couple months. The development is not covered well in the financial press, not even in the alternative media. It will happen, just a matter of time. Its effect will be far reaching and likely devastating. 9.5 minutes: Excerpts from an article on that commentary at thesocietypages.org [On the False Idea that Money is a Resource], debated in the Comment section there: Watts notes that we like to talk about “laws of nature,” or “observed regularities” in the world. In order to observe these regularities, he points out, we have to invent something regular against which to compare nature. Clocks and rulers are these kinds of things. All this is fine but, all too often, the clocks and the rulers come to seem more real than the nature that is being measured. For example, he says, we might think that the sun is rising because it’s 6AM when, of course, the sun will rise ...

PressTV... Iran says it has reached an agreement with Iraq to construct a pipeline that would export crude oil from the northern Iraqi fields of Kirkuk via Iran. The announcement was made by Iran’s Petroleum Minister Bijan Zanganeh after a meeting with his visiting Iraqi counterpart Jabbar al-Luaibi. Zanganeh also added that agreements had been reached with Iraq about an international company that will carry out a feasibility study of the project. Iran and Iraq signed a basic agreement in February that envisaged exporting Iraqi oil through the Iranian territory – a scheme that would remove Baghdad’s reliance on the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to export its oil ...

Visa recently announced its new Cashless Challenge program, which offers $10,000 to restaurants willing to transition into accepting only digital payments. As the largest credit card processor in the U.S., it’s no surprise Visa is spearheading this campaign. Under the guise of increasing transparency and efficiency, they’ve partnered with governments around the world to help convert financial systems into cashless models, but their real incentive is the billions of dollars in extra transaction fees it would generate. “We are declaring war on cash,” Visa spokesman Andy Gerlt proudly proclaimed after the program was announced. The food-based small businesses Visa is ...

Lithium's investment potential

Stock Gumshoe...Lithium has been in use for a long time, of course, and holds price of place as the lightest metal on the periodic table (the lightest solid, really), and it’s very reactive and has great energy density, which makes it appealing for batteries — which is why lithium ion batteries have taken over in most portable electronics and in most electric vehicles. That has led to the idea that lithium should become far more expensive, because demand for electric vehicles is ramping up. Consumer electronics are one thing — the lithium producing world has pretty well met the required demand for millions of laptops and billions of cellphones, essentially all of which have ...
