A Reader Thinks Finding Alien Life in Space is Very Unlikely
Post Date: 2020-02-10 08:08:57 by Ada

The following is a reader’s comment on yesterday’s piece about the likelihood of finding alien life in the galaxy. I’m a proponent of the rare earth hypothesis myself. I would be surprised if there were more than 10 carbon copies of Earth in the Milky way, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we were the only Earth in the galaxy. I think normies, and even a lot of higher IQ people are way, way, way too optimistic about the odds of intelligent alien life. Allow me to enumerate all the intricacies that make Earth so special: Firstly, an Earthlike planet has to have a long lasting molten core. Earth is the only rocky planet in the solar system, including all known dwarf ...

Space exploration got a couple of shout-outs in President Donald Trump's State of the Union address Tuesday night (Feb. 4).During the nearly 80-minute speech, Trump touted the recent establishment of the Space Force — the first new U.S. military branch to be stood up since the Air Force in 1947 — as one of his administration's key accomplishments thus far. And one of the president's special guests for the State of the Union, which is held every year in the House of Representatives chamber of the U.S. Capitol building, was a kid with Space Force dreams.Related: Presidential Visions for Space: From Ike to TrumpPresident Donald Trump speaks during his State ...

Water Seems to Have Not One, But Two Distinct Structures in Its Liquid State

Life as we know it wouldn't exist without it, but compared to other liquids, water is just a freaking weirdo. And, as it now turns out, it's even weirder than we thought. Scientists in Japan have demonstrated that water has not one, but two different molecular structures when in its liquid state - one tetrahedral and one non-tetrahedral. That discovery, they say, could have implications for our understanding of living systems, which rely on liquid water. Water is pretty commonplace on Earth. We have a very soggy planet compared to the rest of the Solar System. We bathe in it; we drink it; we muck about in it in the summer. All life on Earth depends on it. Yet water itself - good ...

A Long-Lost Legendary Roman Fruit Tree Has Been Grown From 2,000-Year-Old Seeds

Scientists have cultivated plants from date palm seeds that languished in ancient ruins and caves for 2,000 years. This remarkable feat confirms the long-term viability of the kernels once ensconced in succulent Judean dates, a fruit cultivar lost for centuries. The results make it an excellent candidate for studying the longevity of plant seeds. From those date palm saplings, the researchers have begun to unlock the secrets of the highly sophisticated cultivation practices that produced the dates praised by Herodotus, Galen, and Pliny the Elder. Emigrate While You Still Can! “The current study sheds light on the origins of the Judean date palm, suggesting that its cultivation, ...

Coronavirus Update
Post Date: 2020-02-03 19:41:01 by Ada

Using more recent data from China of the coronavirus’ infection and death rates than the Indian scientists had, “Moon of Alabama” concludes that the “pandemic” has reached its peak and will be over with in a month. If so, then Jon Rappoport was correct in the beginning that coronavirus was just another big scare hype. Let’s hope that this is the case and that the coronavirus is a far less threat than ordinary flu. Nevertheless, such a happy outcome still leaves us with a lot of puzzling questions. Here are a few of them: Why such an enormous effort by the Chinese government using draconian quarantine measures affecting millions of people and multi-country ...

What Neil & Buzz Left on the Moon

What Neil & Buzz Left on the Moon REV: May 9, 2017 Listen to this story via streaming audio, a downloadable file, or get help. The most famous thing Neil Armstrong left on the moon 35 years ago is a footprint, a boot-shaped depression in the gray moondust. Millions of people have seen pictures of it, and one day, years from now, lunar tourists will flock to the Sea of Tranquility to see it in person. Will anyone notice, 100 feet away, something else Armstrong left behind? Ringed by footprints, sitting in the moondust, lies a 2-foot wide panel studded with 100 mirrors pointing at Earth: the "lunar laser ranging retroreflector array." Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin ...

Coronavirus Contains “HIV Insertions”, Stoking Fears Over Artificially Created Bioweapon

‘The virus even responds to treatment by HIV medications’ Coronavirus Contains "HIV Insertions", Stoking Fears Over Artificially Created Bioweapon I Over the past few days, the mainstream press has vigorously pushed back against a theory about the origins of the coronavirus that has now infected as many as 70,000+ people in Wuhan alone (depending on whom you believe). The theory is that China obtained the coronavirus via a Canadian research program, and started molding it into a bioweapon at the Institute of Virology in Wuhan. Politifact pointed the finger at Zero Hedge, in particular, though the story was widely shared across independent-leaning media. The theory ...

Conspiracy and Motivation (behind the institutional lies and charades) *from a Christian & Scientist perspective*

In this segment of the presentation Rob Skiba did at the Take on the World 2019 conference, he addresses the issue of the claim, "It's Too Big a Conspiracy!" Skiba also discusses his Theory on the motivation behind the ongoing lies and charades facilitated and catapulted by the world's government and institutions. How are "secrets" kept or maintained? Map Shows Devastating Crop Losses Are Happening All Over The World

Map Shows Devastating Crop Losses Are Happening All Over The World Let me warn you right up front – the information in this article might freak you out. If what some experts are telling us is true, a global food crisis appears to be inevitable. Even during good years we have a really difficult time feeding everyone on the planet, and now a major climate shift appears to be happening. Our sun has become exceedingly quiet, and many experts believe that this is a sign that a solar minimum is now upon us. Of course we have seen solar minimums happen quite regularly in the past, and if this is just a normal solar minimum then conditions should begin to return to normal after a couple of ...

I have a million molecules of ordinary air – how many do you think are CO2 ? (We should all know there are less than 400.) 2. I have a million molecules of ordinary air how many do you think are methane ? (We should all know there are less than 2.) 3. Why do you think that such insignificant amounts of stable gases can cause the temperature of the remaining 999,958 molecules of air to rise by any ...

Minding Your Mood

Memory seats are nice. But how about mood minders? In-car sensors that assess your state of mind via eye movements, facial expressions, gestures – even your rising (or falling) heartbeat – and adjust the car accordingly? Some of this is already here.A number of new cars come standard with “drowsy driver” monitoring systems. Cameras embedded in the dash watch you as you drive; if the system thinks you’re getting heavy-lidded or distracted, a chime will sound and a warning light (it’s often a coffee cup symbol) comes on.Soon, it’ll be much more than just a light and a chime. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the next Great Leap Forward was on ...

Sun Magnetism Correlates with earth temperature

There is a direct correlation between solar magnetism and the temperature of the earth. There is a direct correlation between cloud formation and cosmic rays striking the earth's atmosphere. Cosmic rays generate more clouds at lower altitude. Low clouds reflect more sunlight into space and have a strong cooling effect on the earth. Increased solar wind blocks cosmic rays striking earth. Did NASA know back in 1958 our Sun and not CO2 was causing climate change?

Jupiter is Shooting Space Rocks at Earth “Like a Sniper”
Post Date: 2020-01-12 08:59:55 by Ada

This is happening sooner than predicted. The Garmillas Empire is out to get us. We have to get the Japanese to start building the Yamato right now and hope that we’ll get the wave motion technology by the time the space battleship is ready. There’s no time to lose. Daily Mail: Jupiter’s huge bulk and crushing gravitational pull is firing space rocks towards Earth like a slingshot, a leading physicist claims. Most scientists believe Jupiter — the largest planet in the Solar System — helps protect the worlds closer to the sun, such as Earth, and acts as a planetary shield. But leading physicist Dr Kevin Grazier says this theory has been ‘laid to ...

“And upon the Earth are animals and men, some in a middle region, others (elementals) dwelling about the air as we dwell about the sea; others in islands which the air flows round, near the continent; and in a word, the air is used by them as the water and the sea are by us, and the ether is to them what the air is to us. Moreover, the temperament of their seasons is such that they have no disease (Paracelsus disputes this), and live much longer than we do, and have sight and hearing and smell, and all the other senses, in far greater perfection, in the same degree that air is purer than water or the ether than air. Also they have temples and sacred places in which the gods really ...

A Perfect Storm of Cosmic Rays
Post Date: 2019-12-29 10:19:33 by Horse

April 23, 2019: Ten years ago, NASA reported a “perfect storm of cosmic rays.” During the year 2009, radiation peppering Earth from deep space reached a 50-year high, registering levels never before seen during the Space Age. It’s about to happen again. Ground-based neutron monitors and high-altitude cosmic ray balloons are registering a new increase in cosmic rays. The Oulu neutron monitor in Finland, which has been making measurements since 1964, reports levels in April 2019 only percentage points below the Space Age maximum of 2009: What’s going on? The answer is “Solar Minimum.” During the low phase of the 11-year solar cycle, the sun’s ...

This wasn’t supposed to happen, I don’t think. POLITICO: President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that Russia has got a strong edge in designing new weapons and that it has become the only country in the world to deploy hypersonic weapons. Speaking at a meeting with top military brass, Putin said that for the first time in history Russia is now leading the world in developing an entire new class of weapons unlike in the past when it was catching up with the United States. The Russian leader noted that during Cold War times, the Soviet Union was behind the United States in designing the atomic bomb and building strategic bombers and intercontinental ballistic missiles. ...

The U.S. Space Force was born on Dec. 20, 2019. Air Force officials on Friday told reporters that people are clamoring for information on how to join the military’s latest branch. The short answer is, they’re going to have to wait a while. President Trump officially signed the Space Force into law Friday, but for now, all that means is everyone at Air Force Space Command will now be assigned to Space Force. Over the next 18 months, officials said, the finer details of manning and training the new branch will be hammered out and set in motion. “It’s going to be really important that we get this right. A uniform, a patch, a song ― it gets to the culture of a ...

The invention of a Birjand University professor and researcher was registered under the title "Polymer Nanocomposites with Absorption Property and Simultaneous Reflection of Electromagnetic Waves". Omolfajr Naakhaei, who reportedly invented the nanocomposite, told IRNA that it can absorb microwaves dangerous to humans. The researcher suggested turning the nanocomposite into “granules” and then using them with the polyester yarn to produce a garment. He said that it took him a year to produce the nanocomposite. The inventor suggested that if the nanocomposite can be mass-produced, it could be used in the construction industry for additional protection. The PhD of Solid ...

In Middle America, ‘Gentrification’ Is a Useless Word

New development does not always mean displacement. As this decade draws to a close, the story of urban America is increasingly about the great disconnect between a small number of large cities that are thriving, and a much larger number of cities of all sizes that are continuing to fall behind. What’s true for a handful of large cities is increasingly untrue for the majority of cities in the vast middle of the country. Nowhere is the great disconnect more apparent than in the debate about gentrification. Gentrification is a hot topic of conversation in coastal cities, like New York, Washington, and San Francisco, with expensive living costs that are also home to influential ...
