Google Ads tracking me everywhere I go.

A month ago, I searched for and purchased two pounds of rye flour online, from a site called My Spice Sage or something like that. I had checked every local market, supermarket, and came up empty. Lately, I have noticed that every site I go to which uses Google Ads is showing me ads for My Spice Sage. At first I was thinking, wow, this spice place is spending a fortune on google ads, they're everywhere, but just now I remembered my flour purchase, and I seemed to remember that name. I clicked on an ad and went to their site, and sure enough, I was able to log in their and see my past order. Somewhere in google ad universe, they must have my IP recorded and are targeting ads to me base ...

For centuries people living in the Middle East have dreamed of turning the sandy desert into land fit for growing crops with fresh water on tap. Now that holy grail is a step closer after scientists employed by the ruler of Abu Dhabi claim to have generated a series of downpours. Fifty rainstorms were created last year in the state's eastern Al Ain region using technology designed to control the weather. Dry as dust: The sand dunes of the United Arab Emirates, which sees no rain at all for months. Now a secret project has brought storms to Abu Dhabi Dry as dust: The sand dunes of the United Arab Emirates, which sees no rain at all for months. Now a secret project has brought storms ...

A new report circulating in the Kremlin today authored by Doctor-Scientist Alexander Stepanov of St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory warns that the massive dark Jupiter-sized object lurking at our solar system’s outer edge appears to have “accelerated” its movement towards our Earth. When “coupled” with the Total Lunar Eclipse of December 20/21, Dr. Stepanov suggests, the likelihood of an 8.0 magnitude or higher earthquake striking our Planet December 11th to January 8th, 2011, is a “near certainty”. The massive dark Jupiter-sized object being mentioned in this report coincides with the research planetary scientist John Matese of the ...

Arctic ice melt may promote cross-breeding, further imperiling endangered animals Mating between different species could lead to the extinction of many Arctic animals, because hybrid offspring are often less hardy, scientists say. By Amina Khan, Los Angeles Times December 16, 2010 As the world heats up and polar ice melts, different types of bears, whales and seals could meet and mate — but these unions may be far from happy, researchers said Wednesday. In fact, interspecies sex brought on by the melting Arctic ice could lead to the extinction of many endangered Arctic animals, the scientists said in an article published in the journal Nature. At least 22 species are at risk of ...

AS a national strategy, China is trying to build an economy that relies on innovation rather than imitation. Clearly, its leaders recognize that being the world’s low-cost workshop for assembling the breakthrough products designed elsewhere — think iPads and a host of other high-tech goods — has its limits. So can China become a prodigious inventor? The answer, in truth, will play out over decades — and go a long way toward determining not only China’s future, but also the shape of the global economy. Clues to the Chinese approach emerge from a recent government document containing goals for drastically increasing the nation’s production of patents. It ...

10 Modern Methods of Mind Control

December 31, 2010 The more one researches mind control, the more one will come to the conclusion that there is a coordinated script that has been in place for a very long time with the goal to turn the human race into non-thinking automatons.  For as long as man has pursued power over the masses, mind control has been orchestrated by those who study human behavior in order to bend large populations to the will of a small “elite” group.  Today, we have entered a perilous phase where mind control has taken on a physical, scientific dimension that threatens to become a permanent state if we do not become aware of the tools at the disposal of the technocratic dictatorship ...

Each dot is an entire galaxy containing billions of stars. For more than a decade, astronomers have puzzled over strangely bright galaxies in the distant Universe. These ‘luminous infrared galaxies’ appear to be creating stars at such phenomenal rates that they defy conventional theories of galaxy formation. ESA’s Herschel infrared space observatory, with its ability for very sensitive mapping over wide areas, has seen thousands of these galaxies and pinpointed their locations, showing for ...

Terrifying scientific discovery: Strange emissions by sun are suddenly mutating matter… POSTED ON OCTOBER 5, 2010 BY ROCKINGJUDE BY TERRENCE AYM The angry sun For months mounting fear has driven researchers to wring their hands over the approaching solar storms. Some have predicted devastating solar tsunamis that could wipe away our advanced technology, others voiced dire warnings that violent explosions on the surface of the sun could reach out to Earth, breach our magnetic field, and expose billions to high intensity X-rays and other deadly forms of cancer-causing radiation. Now evidence has surfaced that something potentially more dangerous is happening deep within the hidden ...

Home Intervallo..... with respect, let us begin... During this intervallo, you may leave the play, ever so briefly, for pie and drinks. We caution against excessive poison intake (alcohol) during this holiday 'season', given that we know what is coming in the next act of the play and that all attendees will require every bit of consciousness that they may be able to muster. Further there is the issue of the dampening of the higher level vibrations caused by alcohol consumption, which forces the alcohol afflicted consciousness to take refuge in the r-complex (or reptilian part) of the brain as any higher brain activity is quashed. This year, 2010 (year not over, please note), ...

Invention uses solar heat to produce hydrogen fuel from water

A prototype solar device has been unveiled which mimics plant life, turning the Sun's energy into fuel. The machine uses the Sun's rays and a metal oxide called ceria to break down carbon dioxide or water into fuels which can be stored and transported. Conventional photovoltaic panels must use the electricity they generate in situ, and cannot deliver power at night. Details are published in the journal Science. The prototype, which was devised by researchers in the US and Switzerland, uses a quartz window and cavity to concentrate sunlight into a cylinder lined with cerium oxide, also known as ceria. Ceria has a natural propensity to exhale oxygen as it heats up and inhale it ...

Some people seem to think so, after a Nelson County man came across a creature with grayish, wrinkly skin and no fur. Mark Cothren shot and killed an animal on Dec. 18 because he said he feared what it was, since he did not recognize it. He said the animal walked from the woods onto his front yard around 3 p.m. Cothren lives on Mount Carmel Church Road in Lebanon Junction. "I was like: 'every animal has ...

Here's a survey that says a lot about the priorities of the 4,000 British adults, ages 18 to 85, who were asked by Tesco Mobile to rank the world's 100 most important inventions. Putting the wheel at No. 1 makes sense. Ditto the light bulb at No. 3 and penicillin at No. 7. But even Apple (AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs -- no stranger to hyperbole -- has never claimed that the iPhone is the eighth greatest invention of all time. You can probably find a few items on the list below that you would rank higher. Myself, I'm partial to hot water, soft toilet paper, and a roof over my head. Below: Tesco Mobile's list. 1. Wheel 2. Aeroplane 3. Light bulb 4. Internet 5. PCs 6. ...

World Weather WAY Out of Whack

World Weather WAY Out of Whack Tuesday, December 21, 2010 We are in the early stages of sudden climate change, and unless something unexpected prevents it, the next few years are likely to see dramatic changes in the weather on Planet Earth, changes at least as great as those that led to the Little Ice Age. Paradoxically, this is an effect of global warming. There is also a natural cycle involved, but we might have been able to delay it if we had not emitted so much carbon dixoide into the atmosphere. The political debate, especially in the US, has delayed the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions so long, though, that we have almost certainly run out of time. The global warming deniers ...

But that's exactly what the world's most-famous genius recently told an audience of 2,500 in Hong Kong. Speaking with the robotic voice of his speech synthesizer, Stephen Hawking said, "Life on Earth is at the ever-increasing risk of being wiped out by a disaster, such as sudden global warming, nuclear war, a genetically engineered virus or ...

It has long been known that lightning might produce X-rays but this is this first time they have been captured on camera. The picture could help scientists better understand what causes lightning and predict its behaviour. By Andy Choi The Dalu Rebot Restaurant, in Jinan, northern China's Shandong Province, has six robot waitresses and can cater for up to 100 diners. The seating arrangement comprises 21 tables that are set in circles and the robots follow a fixed route to serve diners in rotation. After serving, the robots return to the kitchen to refill their carts for the next round. Restaurant spokeswoman Wang Xianwei said that all of the waiting on tables was done by robots. However, there are people employed to welcome customers and explain to them how the restaurant works. And the food, mainly the Chinese version of fondue, is prepared by humans in the kitchen. "Next, we'll develop ...

7 Technologies Where China Has the U.S. Beat

I've been watching China's ascent in cleantech for a couple of years. In that time China's potential to leapfrog the U.S. has gone from talk to substantive examples of leadership. Even so, I've been surprised by the increasing frequency with which China is pushing ahead in new fronts of cleantech development. Earlier this week, the latest surprise came from energy secretary Steven Chu, who's been talking up China's green progress in an effort to boost Washington's resolve on clean tech policy. In a talk at the National Press Club, with characteristic forceful clarity (PDF of slides), Chu illuminated the growing list of sectors where China's emerging ...

Last week, New Energy Technologies Inc. showed its technology that enables glass to generate electricity through spray-on solar PV to investors and members of the media. The technology, which is called the SolarWindow, aims to provide solar energy to building facades by spraying an electricity-generating coating on to glass. During the demonstration, the researchers compared the cost of the SolarWindow technology to traditional rooftop solar systems saying that the SolarWindow technology provides up to three times more savings in electricity costs. According to a press release, engineers modeled a 40-story building, similar to Tampa’s landmark 100 North Tampa, as an example. They ...
