It's no secret that China produces more than 95% of the world's rare earth elements. It's also no secret that China cut its export quotas by 72 percent in the second half of 2010 then 35 percent for the first half of 2011. . Of course, this has been an amazing opportunity for investors in rare earths... But it could also soon prove to be an amazing opportunity for forward-thinking companies that aren't wasting any time trying to find alternatives for their rare earth needs. Building a better electric mousetrap Toyota (NYSE: TM) recently announced it's very close to developing new electric motors for its hybrid cars motors that don't depend on ...

Car batteries powered by relativity January 14, 2011 By Lisa Zyga Enlarge Scientists found that 80-85% of the voltage of a lead-acid battery is due to relativistic effects. Image credit: Wikimedia Commons. (PhysOrg.com) -- French physicist Gaston Plante invented the lead-acid battery in 1859 almost 50 years before Einstein developed his theories of relativity. Now scientists have found that the lead-acid battery, which is commonly used in cars, strongly relies on the effects of relativity. Specifically, the scientists calculated that 1.7-1.8 volts of the lead-acid batterys 2.1 volts (or about 80- 85%) arise from relativistic effects. Ads by Google Toyota - Official Site - ...

The Arcturians Edgar Cayce has said in his channelings, that Arcturus is one of the most advanced extraterrestrial civilizations in our galaxy. It is a fifth dimensional civilization which, in reality, is like a prototype for Earth's future. Its energy works with humanity as an emotional mental and spiritual healer. It is also an energy gateway through which humans pass during death and rebirth. It functions as a way station for nonphysical consciousness to become accustomed to physicality. The book, "The Keys of Enoch" has described it as the mid-way station or programming center used by the physical brotherhoods in our local universe, to govern the many rounds of ...

34,000-year-old bacteria discovered...and it's still alive 34,000-year-old bacteria: The microbes were discovered in trapped inside tiny bubbles in salt crystals buried in Death Valley, in a state of suspended animation. By Andrea Mustain, OurAmazingPlanet Staff Writer / January 13, 2011 It's a tale that has all the trappings of a cult 1960s sci-fi movie: Scientists bring back ancient salt crystals, dug up from deep below Death Valley for climate research. The sparkling crystals are carefully packed away until, years later, a young, unknown researcher takes a second look at the 34,000-year-old crystals and discovers, trapped inside, something strange. Scientists plan mission to probe Uranus Proposed by British scientists as a joint effort of NASA and the European Space Agency, the mission would offer the first close-up view of Uranus in 25 years. It would give scientists their first close-up views of Uranus since NASAs Voyager 2 flew past and captured fleeting pictures 25 years ago. The £400million mission is designed to go in orbit to study the rings around Uranus and answer questions such as why it gives off so little heat. Uranus first spotted by Sir William Herschel from Bath, England, in 1781 also has the most powerful wind observed in the solar system, blowing at more than 500mph. The planet is ...
Antimatter produced by lightning Post Date: 2011-01-11 08:04:44 by Tatarewicz

A space telescope has accidentally spotted thunderstorms on Earth producing beams of antimatter. Such storms have long been known to give rise to fleeting sparks of light called terrestrial gamma-ray flashes. But results from the Fermi telescope show they also give out streams of electrons and their antimatter counterparts, positrons. The surprise result was presented by researchers at the American Astronomical Society meeting in the US. It deepens a mystery about terrestrial gamma-ray flashes, or TGFs - sparks of light that are estimated to occur 500 times a day in thunderstorms on Earth. They are a complex interplay of light and matter whose origin is poorly understood. Thunderstorms ...

Astronomers have discovered the smallest planet outside our Solar System, and the first that is undoubtedly rocky like Earth. Measurements of unprecedented precision have shown that the planet, Kepler 10b, has a diameter 1.4 times that of Earth, and a mass 4.6 times higher. However, because it orbits its host star so closely, the planet could not harbour life. The discovery has been hailed as "among the most profound in human history". The result was announced at the 217th annual meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Seattle, US, by Nasa's Kepler team. The Kepler space telescope, designed to look for the signs of far-flung planets, first spotted the planet 560 ...

Do you prefer the grasshopper to the ants? What kind of grubs do you have? How about some fried lice? The future of chatter over the dinner table? Insects produce much smaller quantities of greenhouse gases per kilogram of meat than cattle and pigs. This is the conclusion of scientists at Wageningen University who have joined forces with government and industry to investigate whether the rearing of insects could contribute to more sustainable protein production. Insect meat could therefore form an alternative to more conventional types of meat. Greenhouse gas production by insects Cattle farming worldwide is a major producer of greenhouse gases. For the assessment of the sustainability ...

A month ago, I searched for and purchased two pounds of rye flour online, from a site called My Spice Sage or something like that. I had checked every local market, supermarket, and came up empty. Lately, I have noticed that every site I go to which uses Google Ads is showing me ads for My Spice Sage. At first I was thinking, wow, this spice place is spending a fortune on google ads, they're everywhere, but just now I remembered my flour purchase, and I seemed to remember that name. I clicked on an ad and went to their site, and sure enough, I was able to log in their and see my past order. Somewhere in google ad universe, they must have my IP recorded and are targeting ads to me base ...

Arctic ice melt may promote cross-breeding, further imperiling endangered animals Mating between different species could lead to the extinction of many Arctic animals, because hybrid offspring are often less hardy, scientists say. By Amina Khan, Los Angeles Times December 16, 2010 As the world heats up and polar ice melts, different types of bears, whales and seals could meet and mate but these unions may be far from happy, researchers said Wednesday. In fact, interspecies sex brought on by the melting Arctic ice could lead to the extinction of many endangered Arctic animals, the scientists said in an article published in the journal Nature. At least 22 species are at risk of ...

AS a national strategy, China is trying to build an economy that relies on innovation rather than imitation. Clearly, its leaders recognize that being the worlds low-cost workshop for assembling the breakthrough products designed elsewhere think iPads and a host of other high-tech goods has its limits. So can China become a prodigious inventor? The answer, in truth, will play out over decades and go a long way toward determining not only Chinas future, but also the shape of the global economy. Clues to the Chinese approach emerge from a recent government document containing goals for drastically increasing the nations production of patents. It ...
10 Modern Methods of Mind Control Post Date: 2010-12-31 11:17:39 by Bill D Berger

December 31, 2010 The more one researches mind control, the more one will come to the conclusion that there is a coordinated script that has been in place for a very long time with the goal to turn the human race into non-thinking automatons. For as long as man has pursued power over the masses, mind control has been orchestrated by those who study human behavior in order to bend large populations to the will of a small elite group. Today, we have entered a perilous phase where mind control has taken on a physical, scientific dimension that threatens to become a permanent state if we do not become aware of the tools at the disposal of the technocratic dictatorship ...
