Rudy at the Pops - the GOP debate of June 5, 2006 Find the full transcript here.On "don't ask don't tell" and the need of changing to a "hybrid army" while avoiding fundamental changes and performing much needed nation building. And I think in time of war, in a time where we’re trying to deal with this transition to a new kind of warfare that we have to be fighting — and we haven’t gotten all the way there yet, we need a hybrid army, we need to look at nation-building as part of what we have to teach our military — I don’t think this would be the right time to raise these issues.MR. BLITZER: Thank you.MR. GIULIANI: And I think we should ...

VATICAN CITY - A German man tried to jump into Pope Benedict XVI’s uncovered popemobile as the pontiff began his general audience Wednesday and held onto it for a few seconds before being wrestled to the ground by security officers. The pope was not hurt and didn’t even appear to notice that the man had jumped over the protective barrier in the square and had grabbed onto the white popemobile as it drove by. The pontiff kept waving to the crowd and didn’t even look back. Poster Comment:ANYONE SEE CORAL SNAKE?

An Observer at Christian Zionist Leader John Hagee's Cornerstone Church

An Observer at Christian Zionist Leader John Hagee's Cornerstone Church By Rev. Art Preisinger, Institute for the Study of Christian Zionism, November 26, 2006 If John Hagee’s "Night to Honor Israel" extravaganza is any indication, Christian Zionism is a misnomer. From happy-clappy Jewish praise music, to love songs crooned to and about Israel, to a kitschy Hava Nagila; from invocations and benedictions that turn out to be sermons; from Muslim-bashing to Israel lauding; from dramatic processions to keynote addresses; from offerings taken and offerings given -- there was not a shred, a trace, a scintilla of Christianity in the proceedings. It could well have been ...

Paul Zahn Report: Christian-Newsom murders

Predictable Paula Zahn/CNN spin A blogosphere response... Let's Be Honest: You're All Nazis So says Linda Chavez, at least of all of you who oppose the new open-borders bill. And if you thought that the Christian-Newsome murders weren't being covered because the victims were white and the perpetrators black, CNN says you're a Nazi too. A lot of people have weighed in on this, but apparently the only people CNN can find to suggest a media double-standard are avowed White Supremacists with blogs with such names as "Arayan Awakening." That has got to be one of the most despicable hit-pieces I've ever seen. The media is claiming its brand-new "objective ...

Factory Area police had registered a blasphemy case under Section 295 C of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against Masih on September 10, 2005, after he had allegedly made derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at a Qawali function on September 9, 2005. Bush Appoints Another Jesuit Catholic World Bank Chief By Chris Maynard 5-31-7 (Note - To try to make the point for those who still don't quite get it. http://Rense.com would cover this story the same way with news and commentary no matter WHICH group had a strangle hold on much of the western world as do Zionists. This is how Mr. Maynard's commentary might read if the Jesuit Catholics wielded the massive control that Jewish Zionists do. It's all about absolute power and the loss of our freedoms...who holds that power is not the primary issue on the table. -ed) I cannot tell you how surprised I am that Bush has appointed another Jesuit Catholic to replace the Jesuit ...

Image of Jesus inspires World War II vet

Web Posted: 05/23/2007 Bridget Smith KENS 5 Eyewitness News People have seen Jesus' image in a lot of places — in a pan, on a window, in a tree — but now a Floresville man says an image of Jesus has landed on his car. There's a reason the old Mercury Grand Marquis in the front of yard of Toney Guerrero's home is covered up carefully. "So if it rains, it wouldn't wash off," he said. You see, 78-year-old Guerrero hasn't always had a strong walk in faith, but what he discovered on his car window after getting out of his car this past Sunday makes even a tough World War II veteran like him a little teary eyed. "I couldn't believe ...

Swiss move to ban minarets

A row is brewing over religious symbolism in Switzerland. Members of the right-wing Swiss People's Party, currently the largest party in the Swiss parliament, have launched a campaign to have the building of minarets banned. They claim the minaret is not necessary for worship, but is rather a symbol of Islamic law, and as such incompatible with Switzerland's legal system. Signatures are now being collected to force a nationwide referendum on the issue which, under Switzerland's system of direct democracy, would be binding. The move has shocked Switzerland's 350,000 Muslims, many of whom have been campaigning for decades for more recognition for their faith. In theory ...

y: Steve Benen on Monday, May 28th, 2007 at 5:10 AM - - (h/t Scarce for the vid) The Creation Museum, a $27-million tourist attraction for those who don’t care for modern science, will open its doors this morning near Cincinnati. The LA Times had an interesting editorial on the facility. [B]efore the first visitor risks succumbing to the museum’s animatronic balderdash — dinosaurs and humans actually coexisted! the Grand Canyon was carved by the great flood described in Genesis! — we’d like to clear up a few things: “The Flintstones” is a cartoon, not a documentary. Fred and Wilma? Those woolly mammoth vacuum cleaners? All make-believe. Science is ...

The Unholy Desire of Christians to Legitimize Killing in War

"People want to kill people, and they want biblical permission to do so." ~ Wilma Ann Bailey It is bad enough to hear the Bush Administration, the neocons, the Randians, most Republicans in Congress, the right-wing talk show hosts, and some assorted libertarians still defend the war in Iraq, but it is even worse when Christians do the same. Never at any time in history have so many conservative, evangelical Christians held such unholy opinions. The adoration that many of these Christians have toward President Bush is unholy. The association of many of these Christians with the Republican Party is unholy. The alliance between evangelical Christianity and the military is unholy. The ...

The Lost Secret By Gnostic http://RumorMillNews.com 5-26-7 It took me a very long time to break away from conventional religious ideas that created the notion that God was something exterior to us, something impersonal. Like others, I believed in the idea that God was a being of form that appeared like us but separated from us. I believed that God gave us laws, and demanded obedience through worship. It was often quoted that God sits upon his throne, so of course all images were of God sitting like Kings and Queens do today. That we were mere peasants that were to come before this throne to worship and give of our goods before the kingdom. It was difficult to view God in any other ...

Low caste Indians set to convert By Zubair Ahmed BBC News, Mumbai The conversion is expected to be the largest in modern timesThousands of tribal and Dalit Hindus in India are to embrace the Buddhist faith at a huge gathering in Mumbai. The ceremony, which may be presided over by Tibet's exiled leader, the Dalai Lama, is billed as the largest religious conversion in modern India. The converts hope to escape the rigid caste system in which their status is the lowest. Right-wing Hindus have often opposed conversion, pushing some Indian states to restrict legal changes of faith. The organisers say the number of people to convert in Sunday's ceremony could go up to 100,00 ...

Shop for clothes at the Christian Domestic Discipline Store "Loving wife spanking in a Christian Marriage," is the motto at the Christian Domestic Discipline Store. Choose from a variety of reasonably-priced crotchless pantaloons. You can also purchase a book about Christian Domestic Discipline. Excerpt: Biblically, a man’s right to chastise and discipline his wife is strongly implied. Just as a parent would never stop to ask permission to chastise his child, a husband should not have to obtain consent to discipline his wife; however, our legal system has put him in the position of having to do so. Just as our culture is turned upside down in so many other things, the ...

What the Talmud Really Says About Jesus

What the Talmud Really Says About Jesus “What exactly is so scandalous? How about Jesus punished in Hell for eternity by being made to sit in a cauldron of boiling excrement? That image appears in early manuscripts of the Babylonian Talmud, as does a brief account of Jesus’ trial and execution—not by the Romans but by the Jewish high court, the Sanhedrin.” Publisher’s Weekly story on new book called Jesus in the Talmud Comment by David Duke – The following article appeared in Publisher’s Weekly, a mainstream literary magazine and website. It concerns a new book, Jesus in the Talmud, that exposes the shocking truth about the position of Judaism toward ...

Should Christians support Israel? by David Duke MP3 Streaming Download MP3 file In the conversation with Nixon, Rev. Billy Graham, the Southern Baptist evangelist expressed disdain for what he saw as Jewish domination of the media. “This stranglehold has got to be broken or this country’s going down the drain,” Graham said, agreeing with Nixon’s comments earlier in the conversation. “You believe that?” Nixon says in response. “Yes, sir,” says Graham. “Oh boy. So do I,” Nixon agrees, then says: “I can’t ever say that, but I believe it.” (From the Associated Press) I am a Christian, but I must also state that I am ...

As a student in a Roman Catholic high school, he was given a book on the occult by a nun. That book became a gateway for a life in which he embraced witchcraft, freemasonry, satanism, voodoo and Mormonism. He even drank human blood for 18 months. Dr. Schnoebelen, 57, is in Jamaica until May 29 to warn the nation about the dangers of occultic involvement and to offer ways in which the Christian community can help those who are trapped in such bondage. A few weeks ago, he became the talking point for many viewers of Ian Boyne's 'Religious Hardtalk' television programme where he unveiled his dark past. He is in Jamaica at invitation of Joseph Ade-Gold Ministries. While here, he ...

Focus on the Family founder says he won't vote for Giuliani

Associated Press - May 17, 2007 9:03 PM ET An evangelical Christian leader says he won't vote for Rudy Giuliani if the former New York mayor wins the Republican presidential nomination. In an online column for WorldNetDaily, Focus on the Family founder James Dobson calls Guiliani an "unapologetic supporter of abortion on demand" and domestic-partnership benefits. Dobson adds that there are other "moral concerns" with Giuliani, including that he's on his third marriage to "his mistress" from his second marriage and "appears not to have remorse for cheating on his wife." Dobson said he was speaking as a private citizen, but his words carry ...

Religion, not patriotism, truly is the last refuge of the scoundrel. While most believers want to worship God and serve their fellow human beings, a few people twist the sacred for personal and political profit. Indeed, claiming that "God is on my side" plays the ultimate trump in any dispute. Yet ambitious fraudsters are usually found out. More dangerous are those who genuinely believe that they are commanded to do ill. When bad policy is perceived as divine dogma, innocent people inevitably suffer. So it has been with the Iraq war. Some self-professed Christians have so fervently backed the conflict that they might as well be sporting wristbands emblazoned with the slogan, ...

Voices of American Sexuality collected some of the stupidest things he said while he was befouling the living world: * “AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it is God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals” * "It appears that America's anti-Biblical feminist movement is at last dying, thank God, and is possibly being replaced by a Christ-centered men's movement which may become the foundation for a desperately needed national spiritual awakening." * "If you're not a born-again Christian, you're a ...

I have a regular Bible study in my home with a group of men. That’s right, men. No women allowed….nor men who act like women. I’m not talking about homosexuals. Most of them have more courage than most straight men I know. It takes courage to be an open homosexual. Know how I know? Most Christian men won’t come out of the closet and show their Faith. They will talk about god, because everyone loves god and god loves everybody. But they won’t mention the name Jesus. There is something about that name. It is too offensive, too divisive, and too exclusive. No, “god” is safe, “Jesus” is divisive. It is important, you know…that name. At the ...
