Just curious who would consider themselves a christian. Under this definition. That there is a God and he did write the Bible. Or that it was inspired by him. That his word is perfect and without flaws. That Jesus is Gods only son and the only way to heaven.

Europe and Europe's Soul Varg Vikernes In the ancient times only the Athenians with a property, a piece of land, had the right to vote. In Scandinavia on the other hand a mere property was not enough. Only those who had owned a property for several generations had the right to vote. These properties were called óðal properties. The symbol of such a property was the High Seat of the family's head. This seat was a symbol of the noble peasant's rights and not even the king had the right to violate his rights. We know this seat from the rune sign called oþila, shown below, that is a picture of the High Seat. This custom is known even from the prehistoric times, ...

THIS TIME BOMB CALLED ZIONISM - Part 1 of 4 THIS TIME BOMB CALLED ZIONISMPart 1 of 4 by Lt. Col. Gordon "Jack" Mohr, A.U.S. Ret. INTRODUCTION For some time now I have agonized over writing this short book. In spite of what some may think, I do not like to belabor my listeners with harsh reality. It is much easier to tell them like some of our pastors do: "Something good is going to happen to you today!" rather than as Jesus did when He said, "I tell you Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3) Our American people, especially White Christians have become adverse to anything that is negative, it is looked on as a sort of sin. ...

Race and Religion: Awkward Friends of the White Man, Part III Post Date: 2010-01-25 12:31:20 by Prefrontal Vortex

Race and Religion: Awkward Friends of the White Man, Part III Tom Sunic January 23, 2010 Each religion is exclusive and exclusionary, which inevitably results in downplaying or, even worse, in denial of other religions. By definition, all Christian denominations, in order to strengthen their theological credibility, have historically resorted to this type of negative legitimacy. Yet, despite devastating wars among Whites of different Christian persuasions, Christianity, as a whole, has retained its transcendental value, which has made life more or less liveable. No longer is this the case with postmodern civil religions that ignore the sacred. Their nature of ...
Why Would Google Want YouTube? Post Date: 2010-01-23 07:46:39 by Itistoolate

Wednesday, October 29, 2008Why Would Google Want YouTube? To someone unfamiliar with the difficulties of making money online, YouTube might seem like a mega-millionaire cash cow that spits out millions of dollars everyday. The reality is, that for a company the size of Google, it just isnt. Google was started by Larry Page, an American Jew, and Sergey Brin, a Russian Jew. Their company acquired YouTube for 1.65 Billion dollars in October of 2006 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15196982/. At the time of acquisition, YouTube was only worth a meager 15 Million. Versus the $1,650,000,000 paid, were looking at over one-hundred times the websites worth. We could imagine, like the ...

Firm will remove Bible references from gun sights By RICHARD LARDNER, AP A Michigan defense contractor will voluntarily stop stamping references to Bible verses on combat rifle sights made for the U.S. military, a major buyer of the company's gear. In a statement released Thursday, Trijicon of Wixom, Mich., says it is also providing to the armed forces free of charge modification kits to remove the Scripture citations from the telescoping sights already in use. Through multimillion dollar contracts, the Marine Corps and Army have bought more than 300,000 Trijicon sights. The references to Bible passages raised concerns that the citations break a government rule that bars ...

44 failed & 1 ambiguous end-of-the-world predictions between 30 and 1920 CE Some Christians and secular individuals predicted several momentous events that they believed are related: The second coming of Jesus Christ, when he returns to earth after almost two millennia. The war of Armageddon -- a massive battle in Israel. The arrival on earth of the Antichrist, an evil political, military leader. The Tribulation, a seven year interval of great suffering and death. The Rapture, when Christians who have been born again -- both living and dead -- will rise into the sky towards Jesus. Some horrendous natural disaster. etc. It is worth noting that all of the following predictions have ...

Robert E. Lee (January 19, 1807- October 12, 1870) No finer example of a Southern gentleman and leader exists whose positive impact was so great during and after the War. His superb character as a Christian gentleman stood out in his life as a man, husband, father, citizen, soldier, and a leader. These qualities greatly impressed such notable men as Winston Churchill and Theodore Roosevelt. Fortunately General Lee left a wealth of sayings and personal wisdom of which only a fraction is present here in this educational sheet. LEE AS OTHERS SAW HIM: President Theodore Roosevelt described General Robert E. Lee as "the very greatest of all the great captains that the English-speaking ...
U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret 'Jesus' Bible Codes Post Date: 2010-01-18 16:00:02 by bush_is_a_moonie

Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the United States military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found. The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army. U.S. military rules specifically prohibit the proselytizing of any religion in Iraq or Afghanistan and were drawn up in order to prevent criticism that the U.S. was embarked on a religious ...

Pope affirms great respect between Catholics, Jews Post Date: 2010-01-17 10:55:59 by christine

Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday acknowledged problems between Catholic and Jews, but insisted there was "great respect" between the two religions, hours before a controversial visit to a Rome synagogue. The visit has divided Jewish groups because of Benedict's praise and push toward sainthood of wartime pontiff Pius XII, who some critics contend didn't do enough to save Jews during the Holocaust. The Vatican defends Pius, maintaining he used behind-the-scenes diplomacy in a bid to save Jewish lives. Several prominent Jews have said they will boycott the visit. In his weekly noon appearance to pilgrims and tourists in St. Peter's Square, Benedict predicted that his visit ...

Why Don't Faith-Based Americans Care About Economics? Austin Hill Sunday, January 17, 2010
I only care about the moral issues
Have you ever heard this line before? I heard it repeatedly on my radio talk show during the 2008 election cycle. Back then the Obama and McCain presidential candidacies were daily topics of conversation. And no matter what the issue was on any given day, there were those talk show callers who would make comments about Barack Obamas enthusiasm for abortion and homosexual civil unions, or question John McCains pro life credentials. In response, I would guide the conversation back to non-abortion and ...

The Case for Catastrophic Agnosticism David R. Stokes Sunday, January 17, 2010 Here we go again. While the world watches unspeakable horror unfolding in the wake of the beyond-words tragedy in Haiti, and as millions of people sift through the rumble searching for their loved ones and lives, the predictable idiocy of self-anointed neo-prophets is ever present to tell us exactly why God did this. As a minister of the gospel (now in my 33rd year) I am deeply offended each and every time some big giant talking theological T.V. head weighs in and speaks for God as some kind of insider heavenly hedge fund trader. Of course, you know what I am talking about, right? The other night, ...

SPRINGFIELD, Va., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- With Congress addressing the question of abortion funding in the recent health care bills and some Catholic Bishops recently reaffirming the denial of communion to Pro-Choice legislators such as Congressman Patrick Kennedy, the debate over legal abortion has once again been brought to the forefront of public consciousness. In his new book, "Is Being Pro-Choice a Sin?" (published by iUniverse), author, retired lawyer and pro-choice Catholic Leonard Belter presents scientific, practical, and religious-based arguments challenging the Catholic Church's demand that Catholics must oppose legalized abortion. "Is Being Pro-Choice a ...

If You Can Find a Better Deal, Take It! Ann Coulter Wednesday, January 06, 2010 Someone mentioned Christianity on television recently and liberals reacted with their usual howls of rage and blinking incomprehension. On a Fox News panel discussing Tiger Woods, Brit Hume said, perfectly accurately: "The extent to which he can recover, it seems to me, depends on his faith. He is said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So, my message to Tiger would be, 'Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world." Hume's words, ...

After Imam Foad Farahi refused to become a federal informant, the government tried to destroy him. Bush-Cheney and Kerry-Edwards signs littered the lawns as Imam Foad Farahi walked from a mosque to his North Miami Beach, Fla., apartment a few blocks away. It was November 1, 2004, the day before George W. Bush would win a second term in office. But Farahi, an influential South Florida Muslim holy man, had been too busy fasting and praying to pay much attention to the presidential election. For Farahi, an Iranian citizen who had lived in the United States for more than a decade, it was simply another month of Ramadan in Florida. Then, around 5 p.m., as he neared his apartment, he saw two ...

A Somali man has been charged with trying to kill a Danish artist whose drawing of the Prophet Mohammed sparked riots around the world. The suspect, who was shot by police outside cartoonist Kurt Westergaard's home in the city of Aarhus on Friday, was carried into court on a stretcher. Police say he broke into the house armed with an axe and a knife. The suspect, who denies the charge, was remanded in custody. Police say he has links with Somali Islamist militants. The radical al-Shabab group in Somalia hailed the attack. Al-Shabab spokesman Sheikh Ali Muhamud Rage told AFP news agency: "We appreciate the incident in which a Muslim Somali boy attacked the devil who abused our ...
Pope ends year as he began it -- with apology to Jews Post Date: 2009-12-31 18:35:13 by X-15

Pope Benedict XVI ended 2009 much as he began it -- with a major gaffe that angered Jews. He started the year by welcoming a Holocaust-denying bishop back into the fold, and ended it by putting the controversial World War II-era Pope Pius XII one step closer to sainthood. Both caused uproars. "It seems that the pope doesn't always know what's going out under his name, or the impact of what's going out under his name, which is very strange to observe because John Paul II was so media-savvy," said Ruth Ellen Gruber, a Jewish journalist and author who has long been based in Rome. The Pius XII episode "seems to be yet again a case where they didn't estimate ...

Former Lesbian Couple Battles Over Child Custody Written by Rebecca Terrell Thursday, 31 December 2009 01:00 A seven-year-old girl stands in the crosshairs of a bizarre custody battle between former lesbian domestic partners Lisa Miller and Janet Jenkins. The Wall Street Journal reports that Miller is the child's biological mother and conceived her by artificial insemination while living with Jenkins in Vermont, where they were joined in a civil union in 2001. Miller became a Christian in 2003, renounced the homosexual lifestyle, and moved to Virginia with her then-infant daughter, Isabella Miller-Jenkins. Jenkins sued for unsupervised visitation, which Vermont Judge William Cohen ...

'Avatar' and the Faith Instinct Jonah Goldberg Wednesday, December 30, 2009 You probably don't need a long synopsis of James Cameron's half-billion-dollar epic "Avatar," in part because even if you haven't seen it, you've seen it. As many reviewers have noted, Cameron rips off Hollywood cliches to the point you could cut and paste dialogue from "Pocahontas" or "Dances With Wolves" into "Avatar" without appreciably changing the story. In short, "Avatar" tells the tale of a disabled Marine, Jake Sully, who occupies the body of a 10-foot-tall alien so he can live among the mystical forest denizens of the moon world ...
Moldovan Christians tear down public Menorah and placed a Cross instead Post Date: 2009-12-29 11:07:39 by Rotara

Religious scandal at Chisinau/Kishinev after a group of almost 100 devoted Orthodox Christians lead by their priest teared up a Jewish Menorah on the day of Hanukkah. The Menorah was placed right next to the Stephen III of Moldavia statue (better known as Stephen the Great) Friday on December 11 by representatives of the Jewish community from the Moldovan Republic for Hanukkah celebration. The Christians pulled the Menorah and placed a Christian cross instead of it. Placing a Jewish symbol next to the statue of Stephen the Great is an offense said one of the leaders of the protest. We are Orthodox Christians, we are a nation of Christians and Stephen the ...
