What is the Meaning of Life?

What is the Meaning of Life? Or, Is There More to Life Than Just This Brief Period of Time That We Suffer on This Earth? The Bible is an amazing book. Frustration results from a life course that conflicts with the Creator’s requirement and his guidelines for happiness. Galatians 6:7,8 warns; “Do not be mislead: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap; because he who is sowing with a view to his flesh will reap corruption from his flesh.” Galatians 5:19-21; Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, ...

The Principles by Which We are Instructed to Live PEACEFULLY in This Wicked World

The Principles by Which We are Instructed to Live PEACEFULLY in This Wicked World To live peacefully…. Quite a dream for most. I wonder why? Is it just because they do not wish to, or, is there more to it than that? I started a number of years ago to actively cleanse my life of most of the garbage in it. That happened AFTER I began reading the Bible and learned the principles by which we are commanded to live, if we are going to live in a manner that is pleasing to God and Jesus Christ. You should be able to fill in the blank about what happens if we do not live in a manner pleasing to those two. Romans 13; Let every soul (Or, ‘every living person’) be in subjection to ...

Does God have a name? And if so, what is it? Jehovah – The personal name of the only true God. His own self-designation. Jehovah is the Creator and, rightfully, the Sovereign Ruler of the universe. “Jehovah” is translated from the Hebrew Tetragrammaton, which means “He Causes to Become.” Those 4 Hebrew letters are represented in many languages by the letters JHVH or YHWH. Which form of the divine name is correct? JHVH or YHWH? JeHoVaH or YaHWeH? No human alive today can be certain how it was originally pronounced in Hebrew. Why not? Biblical Hebrew was originally written with only consonants, no vowels. When the language was in every day use, readers easily ...

Mary – Mother of God?

Mary – Mother of God? Luke 1:31-35; “You are to conceive and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High … The child will be holy and will be called Son of God.” Heb. 2:14, 17; “Since all the children share the same blood and flesh, he (Jesus) too shared equally in it … It was essential that he should in this way become completely like his brothers.” BUT… would he have been completely like his brothers if he had been a God-man? The New Catholic Encyclopedia says: “Mary is truly the mother of God if two conditions are fulfilled: that she is really the mother of Jesus and that Jesus is ...

Date; 30 May, 2000 Source; USA TODAY If you have a front door, a Jehovah’s Witness probably has knocked on it. With well-dressed politeness and practiced persistence, they offer literature, biblical advice and a path to God’s kingdom as they see it. As often as not, they knock at the wrong time, when we’re too busy to listen or not particularly interested in shopping for another faith. But before you shut the door on a Jehovah’s Witness the next time, pause to consider the shameful persecution they suffered not too long ago, as well as the rich contributions they have made to the First Amendment freedoms we all enjoy. The legal clashes Jehovah’s Witnesses had ...

"Passion" Should Highlight Christian Jewish Difference

"Passion" Should Highlight Christian Jewish Difference By Henry Makow Ph.D. February 1, 2004 Mel Gibson's The Passion of Christ (opening Feb 25) has the potential to become a major cultural turning point by focusing attention on the fundamental difference between Christianity and Judaism. Since the Holocaust, Christians have blurred their beliefs for fear of seeming anti-Semitic. But Jesus and the Pharisees had a deadly enmity. This antagonism is the essence of Christianity and cannot be denied. At the same time Gibson's film might inspire Jews to take a hard look at Judaism. Gibson's graphic depiction of the Crucifixion apparently evokes an intense religious ...

First Off, I want to apologize for the poor video quality, when I heard the Completely Corrupt Bush announcing the Mark of the Beast system, I was in a room that only had a old-school VCR and a well used tape. But the video and what Bush said was clear enough to know what time it is. How appropriate, that on 06/06/06, Bush announces the Biometric Mark of the Beast system. Now the AC Bush speaks of the Biometric IDs for foreign workers, to start with, but this is only the reason given to implement the infrastructure of the Mark. You all know that what starts with one group soon appplies to all. 666 is here. Everyone, feel priviledged that you live in the last days. Prepare, GET YOUR HOUSE IN ...

J. Gresham Machen on Imperialism, Militarism, and Conscription

Who is J. Gresham Machen and why should we care what he said about imperialism, militarism, and conscription? John Gresham Machen (1881–1937) was a conservative Presbyterian New Testament scholar who taught at Princeton Theological Seminary from 1906–1929. Because he believed that the seminary had left its historic theological position, Machen left Princeton in 1929 and founded Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, teaching there until his untimely death in 1937. Machen was widely recognized in his day as one of the most scholarly and zealous defenders of conservative Protestantism. His most enduring works are The Origin of Paul’s Religion (1921), The Virgin ...

Admiralty Law - Maritime Secret Law [Vessels in Commerce vs. Vessels of the Lord]

Admiralty Law Maritime Secret Law http://www.commonlawvenue.net/main/MSL.htm Maritime liens are ancient encumbrances on vessels under Admiralty Law to enforce the payment of debts. Merchants and governments like admiralty law because it provides less rights to a debtor than the common law. Because ships can sail out of a jurisdiction, the merchants needed swift execution to collect debts. Therefore a creditor can have a vessel arrested by the police without any proof that the debt exists and without filing the lien. This is called an "in rem" action, in which the vessel or its cargo is seized without any proof. The creditor does not have to prove that the debt is owed unless ...

It's not every day you see a walking contradiction. But I saw one in a Publix parking lot.I was pulling into the Carrollwood lot, searching for a space. A woman walked out of the store and headed for the aisle I was in. Because the lot was so full, I decided to wait for her to leave. She was bogged down with tons of the newly hip green bags — the ones that are made of recycled materials and can be used again and again — and wore a white T-shirt that said "Green is Sexy" in big, bold letters. Out of the bags peeked bland, yet stylish packages of organic food. Then, she climbed into her big, black Hummer. You know, the car that gets gallons to the mile instead of vice ...

Over the last few days, I have received a bunch of e-mails from about the hypocrisy of evangelical Christian political activism. I want to address a few. The first was a column by Mary Starrett on News With Views asking why the Family Research Council chose not to invite Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin to a recent “values-voters” summit. They invited John McPain and pro-infanticide Big Crock Obama. But they ignored Baldwin. You need to read this column for the FRC’s totally convoluted reasoning for their decision. The second was from my Hungarian homeboy (1) in suburban Denver who asks similar questions about Saturday’s forum featuring McPain ...

Why Does The Illuminati Eye Infest Christian Churches?

During a visit to a breathtaking, beautiful and ornate Christian cathedral in Lucerne, Switzerland last week, I was taken aback by the sight of something that seemed completely out of context and out of place - a baleful and evil-looking Illuminati eye staring out over a representation of the crucified Jesus. Why do similar depictions infest Christian churches the world over? The Church of St. Leodegar, popularly called the Hofkirche, in the bustling town of Lucerne in northern Switzerland, was originally built in 735 and the present structure was erected in 1633 in the late Renaissance style. The cathedral’s distinctive twin needles were part of the original structure. The church is ...

Knights Templar to Vatican: Give us back our assets

The Knights Templar are demanding that the Vatican give them back their good name and, possibly, billions in assets into the bargain, 700 years after the order was brutally suppressed by a joint venture between the Pope and the King of France. If the Holy See doesn’t comply, the warrior knights, renowned for liberating the Holy Land, will deploy that most fearsome of weapons: a laborious court case through the creaking Spanish legal system. The Daily Telegraph reports that The Association of the Sovereign Order of the Temple of Christ has launched a court case in Spain, demanding Pope Benedict “recognise” the seizure of assets worth €100bn. The Spanish-based group of ...

MORE THAN 10,000 DETAINEES RELEASED IN IRAQ

BAGHDAD (AP) - The U.S. military said Saturday it has released more than 10,000 detainees in Iraq so far this year - more than in all of 2007 - as it continues to try phase out its running of Iraqi prisons. The military said about 21,000 people remained in custody, and it is currently releasing about 45 detainees and detaining 30 a day. The United States wants to transfer the detainees to Iraqi control. Reaching that goal has been slowed partly by the lack of adequate Iraqi prison space and trained guards. More than 8,900 people were released from detention last year. The U.S. military separated moderate detainees from extremists and instituted religious, educational and vocational ...

Does the American Flag Belong in Church?

New York - I've attended church weekly all my life, and virtually every congregation with whom I've worshipped displays an American flag. It often stands close to the communion table, probably a church's most sacred spot. Some denominations even recite the Pledge of Allegiance – multiple times. One church I visited in the Midwest began Sunday School with the Pledge but apparently lacked faith it would stick. We interrupted morning worship with another recitation. All in all, American Christians seem as devoted to their government as Ruth was to Naomi. But should they be? Do either the flag or the Pledge have any place in the Lord's house? Is congregational commitment ...
