A YouTube video entitled The Church of Oprah Exposed received well over 3 million views in its first 17 days in cyberspace. It deals with the New Age spiritual agenda that has become so much a part of the Oprah Winfrey Show. It is definitely worth watching. The most influential woman in television history is leading her massive audience in a very dangerous direction. At about the two-minute mark of this seven-minute video, the narrator states: Today she has turned millions of her adoring fans over to New Age doctrine. Christians are letting this into their homes and are being deceived. Oprah is not the only person promoting a huge deception on an easily influenced ...

Pontiff not attending dinner in his honor, White House says The White House has scheduled a dinner next week in honor of Pope Benedict XVI's first visit to the United States, but one guest will be conspicuously absent from the proceedings: the pope himself. There are no competing events listed on the pope's schedule, and the White House was unable to explain Benedict's absence from the dinner. The pontiff will be greeted by the president and first lady upon his arrival to the US Tuesday and participate in a Rose Garden appearance and Oval Office meeting with President Bush the next day. A dinner scheduled for later Wednesday night didn't make it onto the Benedict's ...
For McCain, Little Talk of a Controversial Endorsement (REV. JOHN HAGEE) Post Date: 2008-04-10 15:53:54 by aristeides

For McCain, Little Talk of a Controversial Endorsement By NEELA BANERJEE Published: April 8, 2008 When Senator John McCain won the endorsement of the Rev. John C. Hagee in February, his campaign hoped it would shore up his conservative credentials among evangelicals and build enthusiasm among a voting bloc that would be critical for him in November. But since then, Mr. Hagee has been on the defensive over some of his views about Catholics and Jews, and he and Mr. McCains campaign have been silent about his endorsement. The controversial endorsement points to Mr. McCains tenuous relationship with conservative evangelicals, a group that President Bush courted with tremendous ...

Christian Responsibility to Truth Herman Otten While most revisionists appear to be opposed to the construction of the [U.S. government] Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, right next to some of our nations's most cherished monuments, I say: Let it be built! One day it will serve as a monument to the stupidity of modern man, who can still accept a hoax as a fact. Hopefully it will then serve as a reminder to study all the facts and evidence, and repudiate all hoaxes. The day is surely coming when all the evidence showing that the Germans never exterminated six million Jews can no longer be suppressed. Truth is not determined by majority vote. I learned this lesson in high school, and ...

Rome, Mar. 14, 2008 (CWNews.com) - Some Jewish leaders continue to lodge protests against a papal revision of the prayer for Jews included in the traditional Good Friday liturgy. In an interview for the ANSA news agency, the head of the International Jewish Committee on Interreligious Consultations, Rabbi David Rosen, said that his organization is not satisfied with the new text, released in February on directions from Pope Benedict XVI (bio - news). He said that a delegation of rabbis from Jerusalem have delayed a planned trip to the Vatican to protest the prayer. Pope Benedict revised the prayer in answer to complaints that the text-- used only in Latin, in Good Friday services ...

This was in Gaza, Hamas runs Gaza which means sharia enforcement. Muslims arent exactly known for their environmentalism... Or much else outside of violence, dirtiness and squalor. I posted this to show that muslims are like this ALL the time in every conceivable situation.
THE ULTIMATE REASON WHY GOVERNMENT EDUCATION FAILS Post Date: 2008-04-05 14:32:16 by snoopdougg

Do you want to know the ultimate reason why government education fails? I will tell you. It is because the government runs it!I read a column the other day by Debra Rae on News with Views entitled Worldviews on Trial. While she makes many excellent points, the following two paragraphs caused me to drop what I was doing and fire off this screed. The Christian worldview places God and His Word at the center of learning. After all, God is the source of all true knowledge, His Word is truth, and in Jesus are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. For these reasons, our founding fathers recognized the necessity of weaving biblical principles into every aspect of ...

The Origins of Christianity and the Quest for the Historical Jesus Christ Part 1 by Acharya S Was Jesus a man, myth or God? The answers may surprise you. Introduction Around the world over the centuries, much has been written about religion, its meaning, its relevance and contribution to humanity. In the West particularly, sizable tomes have been composed speculating upon the nature and historical background of the main character of Western religions, Jesus Christ. Many have tried to dig into the precious few clues as to Jesus's identity and come up with a biographical sketch that either bolsters faith or reveals a more human side of this godman to which we can all relate. ...
Was Jesus Jewish? Post Date: 2008-04-02 21:12:11 by YertleTurtle

Most historians, professional and non-professional, play fast and loose with the term "Jew." They find Jews all over the ancient Mediterranean world as well as in the modern world. There is even a Jewish state on land, which from a biblical viewpoint was actually willed by God to Jesus and those who believe in Him (Galatians 3:16: Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring; it does not say, "And to offsprings," as of many; but it says, "And to your offspring," that is, to one person, who is Christ . . . 3:29: And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to the promise). This is ...

Until Shiloh Comes By Chuck Missler (From his Book "The Creator Beyond Time and Space") In the 49th chapter of the book of Genesis there is another specific prophecy regarding the time of the Messiah's coming. In verse one we read of the last blessing that Jacob bestowed to his sons. "And Jacob called his sons and said, 'Gather together, that I may tell you what shall befall you in the last days'" Genesis 49:1 (NKJ) When he had gathered them together he began to prophesy over each of them. When he got to his son Judah, he gave a prophecy concerning the Messiah: "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until ...

Obama gave a nice speech, except for everything he said about race. He apparently believes we're not talking enough about race. This is like hearing Britney Spears say we're not talking enough about pop-tarts with substance-abuse problems. By now, the country has spent more time talking about race than John Kerry has talked about Vietnam, John McCain has talked about being a POW, John Edwards has talked about his dead son, and Al Franken has talked about his USO tours. But the "post-racial candidate" thinks we need to talk yet more about race. How much more? I had had my fill by around 1974. How long must we all marinate in the angry resentment of black people? As an ...

Easter: Christian or Pagan? Post Date: 2008-03-23 13:08:18 by richard9151

As you read this, carefully note that it is about Easter, and not about the facts outlined in the Bible. What is detailed here is how a historical figure was transformed into a pagan ritual, and nothing more is done in this description. BUT, this information is very helpful in understanding what happened to Christianity, and how it has been debased and destroyed by the Roman church and her daughters. You can figure out who the daughters of the Roman church are by simply noting their observance of Easter, Xmas and the other pagan holy days of the year. Contrary to popular belief, Easter does not represent the "historical" crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In reality, ...
German Jewish leader criticizes Pope over prayer Post Date: 2008-03-22 16:21:35 by robin

BERLIN (Reuters) - The leader of Germany's Jewish community said on Friday she was surprised Pope Benedict could have allowed a new version of a Good Friday prayer for the conversion of Jews. Charlotte Knobloch, president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, told Reuters Television she could not fathom Pope Benedict putting forward the new decree because he experienced discrimination against Jews in Germany as a young man. "I would have assumed that this German pope, of all people, had got to know first hand the ostracizing of Jewry," she said. "I could not have imagined that this same German pope could now impose such phrases upon his church." Jewish groups ...
The Children of Palestine and Israel are Cannon Fodder for the Rapture Post Date: 2008-03-22 13:55:44 by Brian S

Robert Weitzel says that since the beginning of the second intifada in September 2000, over 1,000 Palestinian and Israeli children have been killed by bullets and bombs. According to Pastor John Hagee and his evangelical organization, Christians United For Israel, this is an acceptable -- if not desirable since a majority of the children were Muslim -- price to pay to bring about Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Hagee endorsed McCain's presidential bid, and McCain "was very proud to have Pastor John Hagee's support." Safa Abu Saif, a 12-year-old Palestinian girl, was visiting a friend's apartment when the bullet fired from an Israeli rifle slammed ...

Author challenges claim that Jesus lived in Nazareth Post Date: 2008-03-21 13:45:17 by Ferret Mike

Just in time for Easter, a Eugene author this weekend will unveil his new book arguing that Jesus did not hail from Nazareth because Nazareth did not exist during Jesus lifetime. Rene Salm will talk about his book, The Myth of Nazareth: The Invented Town of Jesus, at the American Atheists national conference in Minneapolis. He also will rub shoulders there with the likes of Richard Dawkins, author of the best-selling ode to atheism, The God Delusion. But Salm, a 55-year-old mental health worker and published composer of classical music, insists hes not anti-Christian pointing to the framed drawing of Jesus and many books on ...

You can fool all of the people some of the time and You can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. Abraham Lincoln. When I first began to talk about government and the Bible in the same paragraphs, I heard people respond with quotes from Romans 13 probably more than any other verse. It Reads: Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Romans 13 1 Of course we should honor true authority, such as our Father and Mother, or others that God places over us (or we go under by contract and agreement), but is that even what Romans 13 is ...
