Messiah Huckabee unsettling picture
Post Date: 2008-01-23 21:56:51 by Dakmar

The Messiah is coming! His name is Mike Huckabee. He wants to rewrite the Constitution to reflect his interpretation of the Bible regarding gays, lesbians and that old Republican favorite, "family values". This has been tried before. The Puritans came to this continent to have religious freedom as they regarded the Church of England to be lacking in piety. First the Jews and Quakers were victimized as not having the right religion. Then they turned on their own for not being pious enough. In spite of the fact that 30 percent of the United States is not Christian, Huckabee wants to make it all Christian, following in the footsteps of columnist Ann Coulter, who thinks that Jews ...

Conquering the Spirit of Debt 48 min 56 sec - Sep 27, 2007 myspace.com Conquering the Spirit of Debt This amazing sermon given in Sept 2003 by Pastor Rod Parsley at Breakthrough Church in Columbus Ohio ... all » details the story of how Paul Warburg, John D. Rockefeller, and J.P. Morgan met with Senator Aldridge at a conference in Jekyll Island to create the Federal Reserve Banking System in America circa 1913. Most people hear about the "national debt" but few ask what it means or who we owe. This was the best quality video I could get, but I hope this gets the message through. Dennis Miller: The Rants

There's good news for those who rage at the evening news, shake their heads at Washington's business as usual, or watch as politicians carom from social crises to political crises to economic crises: Dennis Miller is here, and he means to shake the nation by its lapels. Miller takes no prisoners. Whether the subject is dope-addled baseball players who can no longer swing their bats, do-nothing politicians who devote their careers to creating meaningful sound bites, or the nation's resigned acceptance of violence as a way of American life, these thematically arranged monologues are funny and angry. More significantly, they shatter the conventions of comedy by simultaneously ...

Here Was A Man

"Here Was A Man" (To be spoken--Johnny Cash-like--over a lonely keyboard version of "Joy to the World") "Here was a man...a man who was born in a small village, the son of a peasant woman. He grew up in another small village. Until He reached the age of thirty, He worked as a carpenter; then, for three years, He was a travelling minister. But He never travelled more than two hundred miles from where He was born, and where He did go, He usually walked. He never held political office, He never wrote a book, He never bought a home, He never had a family, He never went to college, and He never set foot inside a big city, yet...here was a man. Here was a man...though ...

Indiana Jones meets the Da Vinci Code

Islam watchers blogged all weekend about news that a secret archive of ancient Islamic texts had surfaced after 60 years of suppression. Andrew Higgins' Wall Street Journal report that the photographic record of Koranic manuscripts, supposedly destroyed during World War II but occulted by a scholar of alleged Nazi sympathies, reads like a conflation of the Da Vinci Code with Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail. The Da Vinci Code offered a silly fantasy in which Opus Dei, homicidal monks and twisted billionaires chased after proof that Christianity is a hoax. But the story of the photographic archive of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences, now ensconced in a Berlin vault, is a case of life ...

A MUSLIM store worker refused to serve a customer buying a children’s book on Christianity because she said it was “unclean”. Shopper Sally Friday felt publicly humiliated at a branch of Marks & Spencer when she tried to pay for First Bible Stories as a gift for her young grandson. When she put the book on the check-out counter, the young assistant refused to touch it, declared it was unclean and summoned another member of staff to serve instead. Mrs Friday said she was so upset that she has now complained to the store’s management. Last night politicians and religious leaders supported her in condemning the high street giant and reigniting the debate over ...

In an interview with Fox News' Chris Wallace, popular televangelist Joel Osteen gave Mitt Romney an endorsement of sorts, addressing the doctrinal issues that many had hoped would be addressed in Romney's "Faith in America" speech. WALLACE: And what about Mitt Romney? And I've got to ask you the question, because it is a question whether it should be or not in this campaign, is a Mormon a true Christian? OSTEEN: Well, in my mind they are. Mitt Romney has said that he believes in Christ as his savior, and that's what I believe, so, you know, I'm not the one to judge the little details of it. So I believe they are. And so, you know, Mitt Romney seems like a man ...

Student protests district’s rejection of motto (Ruled unsuitible because it is derived from the Bible)

BLUE RIVER — Some senior class members at 90-student McKenzie High School thought they’d spotted a great class motto in a Bible verse quoted at the August funeral of a classmate killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident. But, even after the students deleted references to God, McKenzie School District officials rejected as too religious the motto: “They that believe shall mount up with wings as eagles.” Class member Brianna Rux, 17, disagreed with the decision and wrote a guest opinion in Friday’s Register-Guard protesting it. In it, she said the verse seemed particularly fitting, given that class members have pulled together to rise above their grief and ...

THE CHURCH OF HUCK: GROWING GOV'T. IN THE NAME OF RELIGION

by Selwyn Duke December 25, 2007NewsWithViews.comThere is a candidate in the presidential race who has a serious religion problem. No, it's not Mormon Mitt or recently-religious Rudy. It is Mike Huckabee. Just for the record, I share Huck's faith in Jesus Christ. Not only have I no problem with religion in public life, I also understand that one can't really separate a person's world view from his politics. The political is merely a reflection of the spiritual; our politics doesn't emerge in a vacuum. So what is my problem with Huck? Do I accuse him of false religiosity? No, what scares me is that his beliefs are all too real. To that enormous secular conservative ...

By Pastor Chuck BaldwinJanuary 4, 2008NewsWithViews.com If the reader has not already done so, I again urge you to read the book, Hitler's Cross, which was written by Erwin Lutzer and published by Moody Press. This book should be "required reading" for every pastor and Christian layman in America. In his book, Lutzer focuses on the attitudes and actions of Germany's pastors and churches during the rise and reign of the Third Reich. It is a masterpiece. For those of us living in a country and time far removed from Hitler's Germany, it is hard to comprehend how that nation's Christians--and especially its ministers--could have been so thoroughly taken in by old ...

Women who stop going to church are at greater risk of mental health and drinking problems, a study claims. Researchers say women who let their religious activity lapse are three times more likely to suffer from anxiety or become dependent on alcohol than those who keep their faith active. However, men who took part in the study and who became less religious in adulthood did not appear to suffer any increase in mental health problems. Dr Joanna Maselko, the lead study author, of Temple University, Philadelphia, said women suffered more from losing interest in religion because they were more likely to lose friends and social contacts as a result. Dr Maselko said: "Women are more ...

Behind Matthew Murray’s Church Executions: More Blood on Judeo-Christian Hands Charles E. Carlson Matthew Murray may be the first known assassin to aim his weapons at Judeo-Christians because they were Judeo-Christians. He was an insecure, deeply disturbed young man in need of counseling, if not treatment, of this there seems little doubt from Matthew Murray’s own writings. But there is much more. What kind of help did he need, and who could have saved these five lives; four innocent strangers and the Murray? There is much to be learned about Judeo-Christianity from Matthew’s recorded diary left on blogs. The now infamous Matthew Murray was a 24 year-old, suburban Denver, ...

Pat Robertson's New Year's Forecast: "China Will Be The Largest Christian Nation On Earth"

As "700 Club" co-anchor Terry Meeuwsen explained on today's installment of the popular Christian show, "Each year, just before the first part of the year, Pat (Robertson) goes off alone with the Lord and then comes back to share with us what the Lord has shown him about the coming year." Pat then brings in every New Year by delivering the Lord's message to the staffs of Christian Broadcasting Network and Regent University. This year's meeting with God brought some interesting predictions, particularly concerning China and Christianity. According to Pat, "What I'm praying about is China. I'm asking for 250 million in China. We haven't had ...

Woman Claims Reading Bible Got Her Booted Off Bus FORT WORTH (CBS) 53; A passenger says the Fort Worth bus service discriminated against her religion, CBS station KTVT-TV in Dallas reported. Christine Lutz says she was reading her Bible to her children when the bus driver asked her to stop or get off the bus. Lutz, a Seventh Day Adventist, and her children were on their way to church. Lutz claims the driver told her it wasn't the time or place to read the bible. "I said, 'Oh, but it's the perfect time and the perfect place since it is our Sabbath and it is the time with the Lord and therefore I'm going to continue.' And I continued," Lutz said. A ...

The Wittenberg Door An Open Letter to Evangelicals and Other Interested Parties: The People of God, the Land of Israel, and the Impartiality of the Gospel Recently a number of leaders in the Protestant community of the United States have urged the endorsement of far-reaching and unilateral political commitments to the people and land of Israel in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, citing Holy Scripture as the basis for those commitments. To strengthen their endorsement, several of these leaders have also insisted that they speak on behalf of the seventy million people who constitute the American evangelical community. It is good and necessary for evangelical leaders to speak out on the ...

Fake Christians: NAFTA Highway Is Holy

A group of fake Christians are claiming that I-35 is a holy highway. They claim that through the help of prayer this holy highway will cleanse strip clubs and other adult businesses that surround it. It is interesting that all of a sudden fake Christians like Pat Robertson and others are talking about how I-35 is a holy highway right when there is a major push by the global elite to expand I-35 into the NAFTA superhighway. The expansion of I-35 into the NAFTA superhighway has been a topic of much controversy as it will force people off of their property via way of eminent domain. Fake Christians like Pat Robertson are attempting to brainwash Christians into believing that I-35 is a holy ...
