(25 August 2010, Daejon, South Korea) VIDEO NEWS! A handicapped man, annoyed that an elevator closed and departed without him, thinks it over before ramming his wheelchair into the doors not once, not twice, but three times in all--only to plunge down the now-empty elevator shaft to his death. Simultaneous success and failure combine to earn the 40-year-old "Angry Wheelchair Man" lasting immortality as a Darwin Award winner. Note: If the video is missing, click here for more options. The tragic downfall of this rashly rushing rammer provides a heartening example of how brilliant you are--compared to some! However, natural selection just got a little harder. The authorities ...
I tried a new way to buy silver today. Post Date: 2011-03-11 23:36:49 by Critter

I decided to try putting ads on craigslist today, offering to buy junk US silver coins. I went with an offer of $23 per dollar of face value. At today's spot, they would be worth about $26. I included the disclaimer that this was today's price and that the offer is subject to change. I got one bite so far and am picking up $32 face value tomorrow for $736 which is currently worth $831. It sure as heck beats paying spot plus for silver, no? I put my ads in "wanted" and "for sale / collectibles". I'm not sure which got the bite. I plan on doing this for a while and seeing how it goes. I may just buy and then sell on ebay and get a bit over spot for the ...

Real Politics in Wisconsin Post Date: 2011-03-10 16:20:18 by Prefrontal Vortex

Real Politics in Wisconsin Wisconsin Republicans Defend Themselves -- For Once By James Kirkpatrick Republicans in Wisconsin did something unexpected today -- they acted in defense of themselves. Forget the talk about "a better business climate for Wisconsin" or the inherent unfairness of public sector unions. All of that may be true but it also doesnt matter. The Republican Party, at a stroke, ripped out one of the main supports of the organized Left in this country on their home turf. The Democratic Party is less a party than a coalition of mutually hostile tribes. These tribes band together occasionally to remove wealth from white Americans and redistribute it among ...

The Zapruder Film Examination: Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis
Did Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis Shoot President Kennedy?
This clip examines that possibility in detail. The theory is that Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis produced a weapon from her purse or somewhere within the limosine. Pay close attention to her right arm. It appears that she has something and shoves it in the breast of her jacket. Doesn't her right arm appear to be in an odd angle? She un-mistakingly does put something in her jacket that was laying on the seat.
There is also the science about bullets and exit wounds. Entry wounds from a bullet leave small holes and exit wounds generally ...

Radio Trickery Reported by GW An online leak has emerged, revealing a questionable practice used by the employer of the biggest names in radio. America's #1 and #2 radio broadcast hosts today and for decades have been Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, whose ratings and profits have dominated once thriving local markets. After industry deregulation paved the way, their boss, Premiere Radio Networks and parent company Clear Channel Communications have used a Wal-Mart model of steamrolling or acquiring small, independent original radio businesses, syndicating everything from robotized genre music stations to a political talk show hosts selling snake oil. But according to an online ...

Manna - Chapter 4 by Marshall Brain Burt wanted to go outside and take a walk. Weather permitting, we tried to walk every evening. We left the cafeteria and departed through the main door along with a stream of other people. The building we exited was another one of the terrafoam projects. Terrafoam was a super-low-cost building material, and all of the welfare dorms were made out of it. They took a clay-like mud, aerated it into a thick foam, formed it into large panels and fired it like a brick with a mobile furnace. It was cheap and it allowed them to erect large buildings quickly. The robots had put up the building next to ours in a week. The government had finally figured out that ...

Jing Zhao Cesarone CHICAGO, March 5 (Xinhua) -- From sparkling costumes, elegant dance moves, melodic folk songs, to classic Beijing Opera, a stunning visual feast of Chinese culture dazzled many Chicagoans on Friday night at a concert sponsored by the Confucius Institute in Chicago (CIC). This speaks a lot about the locals' growing enthusiasm in learning Chinese inspired by Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to the Wind City in January. During the concert at Walter Payton College Preparatory High School which President Hu once visited, students from 42 area public schools, along with their administrators, teachers and parents, reveled together for the first time, still riding ...

To: mel; jimrob I think each person who posts should get a star by their name for donation. Hmmm? Hall of shame. Maybe that isnt such a bad idea, the more you contribute the bigger the stars or some kind of indicator as to your level of support, a little competition so to speak. Another way to recognize possible TROLLS, and another way of telling whos who. I like it. Possibly generating twice the present level of contributions. Up to the owner though. 99 posted on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 9:31:49 AM by wita

Charlie Sheen Makes Anti-Semitic Attack on 'Two and a Half' Men Creator Post Date: 2011-03-01 17:32:59 by X-15

Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen lashed out at the show's co-creator Chuck Lorre during an interview on the syndicated Alex Jones Show Thursday. Saying he was told that if he went on "attack" execs would cancel the show, Sheen repeatedly referred to the showrunner as "Chaim Levine" before going off on Lorre's vanity card last week that said "If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed." (Lorre's birth name is Charles Levine.) Sheen said, "I didn't care about that vanity card, I went straight home and dispelled that, that was actually one of the few compliments that clown has paid me in frickin' almost a ...

Charlie Sheen Ignites ABC-NBC News War Charlie Sheen ignited a news war over the weekend by giving ABC News an exclusive interview about his recent meltdown--only to turn around and talk to NBC News too. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC is "apoplectic" over the situation. ABC had touted its interview with Sheen as an exclusive, putting together a special edition of "20/20" that is set to air Tuesday and promising to run clips from the interview across all its news programs over a two-day period. It was, as they say, a major "get" for the network. Unfortunately for ABC, Sheen then gave an interview to NBC News on Sunday. NBC quickly trumpeted the ...

If this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by Dell, AT&T and AOL customer service reps .. Finally, if all else fails, they have threatened not to send us any more presidents either. It's gonna get ugly, people. >
