Black Americans and Liberty Post Date: 2010-05-05 07:51:47 by Eric Stratton

Black Americans and Liberty Walter E. Williams Wednesday, May 05, 2010 Having recently reached 74 years of age, if one were to ask me what's my greatest disappointment in life, a top contender would surely be the level of misunderstanding, perhaps contempt, that black Americans have for the principles of personal liberty and their abiding faith in government. Contempt or misunderstanding of the principles of personal liberty and faith in government by no means make blacks unique among Americans, but the unique history of black Americans should make us, above all other Americans, most suspicious of any encroachment on personal liberty and most distrustful of government. Let's look ...

This morning I went to sign my Dogs up for welfare. At first the lady said, "Dogs are not eligible to draw welfare". So I explained to her that my Dogs are mixed in color, unemployed, lazy, can't speak English and have no clue who their Daddies are. They expect me to feed them, provide them with housing and medical care, and feel guilty because they are dogs. So she looked in her policy book to see what it takes to qualify. My Dogs get their first checks Friday. Damn this is a great country!

Student in coma after Chicago assault opens her eyes By Lesley-Anne Henry Monday, 3 May 2010 A Northern Irish student left battling for her life after a brutal baseball bat attack in America has opened her eyes. Natasha McShane (23) from Silverbridge, south Armagh, had been in a coma for 10 days after being assaulted and robbed while walking home from a night out in Chicago. But the former Queens University graduate opened her eyes for a few moments for the first time on Saturday to see her concerned parents Liam and Sheila by her bedside. And last night Natashas grandmother Bernadette McShane told the Belfast Telegraph doctors believed she was making good progress. ...

This was this guy's first boat and he was taking it to the lake, but he wasn't quite sure of the correct procedure for launching a boat off a ramp. However, he figured it couldn't be that difficult to do, so he stopped by his office for advice, and they just told him... "Just don't let the trailer get too deep in the water when you're launching your boat, and you should be fine". Well later on, he couldn't understand what they meant by that, as he just could barely get his trailer in the water! Here's a picture worth a "thousand' words! Your gonna love this guy!!! They walk among us, get married, have children and vote! NOTE: The sticker ...

Central Intelligence Agency director Leon Panetta told 300 Sacramento Metro Chamber Cap-to-Cap delegates that the next Pearl Harbor is likely to be an attack on the United States power, financial, military and other Internet systems. Panetta addressed the Sacramento delegation that includes 43 elected officials and hundreds of business and civic leaders who are in Washington D.C. for the annual program that advocates for the regions most pressing policy issues. He spoke on Monday, April 19, during the Cap-to-Cap opening breakfast. Cyber terrorism is a new area of concern for the CIA, Panetta said. The United States faces thousands of cyber attacks daily ...

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and ...

Mass. fishermen dredge up 100 grenades in clam haul The Lowell Sun Updated: 04/24/2010 12:46:30 AM EDT NEW BEDFORD (AP) -- Authorities say Massachusetts workers sorting through a catch of sea clams found more than 100 hand grenades in New Bedford, triggering an evacuation of the area and a response from U.S. Navy bomb experts. New Bedford Police Lt. Steve Forand said on Friday that the explosives were found on Thursday. He did not have information on whether the grenades were live, how they ended up in the sea and for how long they had been submerged under water. Police say experts from the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group had secured the scene and were in charge of the ...

GOOD VISION IN A DOWNPOUR #1: How to easily achieve good vision while driving during a heavy downpour
We are not sure why it is so effective; just try this when it rains heavily. This method was told by a Police friend who had experienced and confirmed it. Note: It is useful, even when driving at night. Most of the motorists would turn on HIGH or FASTEST SPEED of the wipers during heavy downpour, yet the visibility in front of the windshield is still bad... Dont do it. Listen: In the event you face such a situation, just try your SUNGLASSES (any model will do), and miracle of miracles occurs! All of a sudden, your visibility in front of your windshield is perfectly clear, ...
Question for 4um: SNL Saturay April 24th Post Date: 2010-04-24 23:43:17 by Horse

I just watched the opening skit on SNL Obama said he went to New York and asked 12 CEOs for permission to enact financial reform. Unfortunately they said no. But he was allowed to ask again in five years. The lunch bill came to %85,000. The Bailout probably covered the tab. YouTube is on the war path about copyrights so does anyone here think they can get a video of it? Obama is fair game for liberal comedy writers.
Cook-book misprint costs Australian publishers dear Post Date: 2010-04-22 15:38:20 by James Deffenbach

Australian publisher has had to pulp and reprint a cookbook after one recipe listed "salt and freshly ground black people" instead of black pepper. Penguin Group Australia had to reprint 7,000 copies of Pasta Bible last week, the Sydney Morning Herald has reported. The reprint cost A$20,000 ($18,000; £12,000), but stock in bookshops will not be recalled as it is "extremely hard" to do so, Penguin said. The recipe was for tagliatelle with sardines and prosciutto. "We're mortified that this has become an issue of any kind, and why anyone would be offended, we don't know," head of publishing Bob Sessions is quoted as saying by the Sydney ...

Diversity Oeuvre Alles Mike Adams April 22, 2010 [Editors note: Jane is not this persons real name] Jane, In order to balance out the recent lecture by Dr. Sahar Amer, "Arab Homosexuality & Lesbianism and the Politics of Naming," would it not be a good idea to invite a representative from CAIR of the State of Michigan? As you probably know, Michigan CAIR is attempting to impose sharia law in central Michigan. I think it would be interesting to hear them talk about the treatment of homosexuals under sharia law. Specifically, it would be nice to know whether they actually support the public execution of homosexuals - as is widely reported. This is an ...

After years of federal and state meddling, the forces of big-gooberment has achieved a rate of divorce and broken homes over 50%. And many of the intact marriages are under appalling conditions (adultery, abusiveness, etc.). Again, I don't see what it is (other than gooberment benefits that were always granted at the expense of a minority of citizens) that so attracts the gays to marriage. Just because someone tells you you can't have something doesn't actually make it worth wanting. Conventional suburban homos with two kids and going to the PTA is an inane end to so-called gay rights. The right to be Rob and Laura Petrie? Seems odd to pine for the Ozzie and Harriet routine. ...
