From 1666 until his death in 1675, French Jesuit priest Jacques Marquette, better known from our grade school history books as “Pere Marquette,” ministered to natives around the western Great Lakes in the part of the new world then called “New France.” Members of the local Illinois tribe told the French of a large river that flowed south and, hoping it would prove to be a direct route to the Pacific Ocean, authorities sent an expedition under Louis Joliet to explore the watery highway. Marquette, who spoke several native languages, joined the party as chaplain and translator. “Horns on their heads” Leaving early in 1673, Joliet’s party canoed down Lake ...

A new study suggests the age when couples start cohabiting – whether married or unmarried – correlates with divorce rates, adding new nuance to studies about cohabitation and marriage.. ....For years, social scientists have tried to explain why living together before marriage seemed to increase the likelihood of a couple divorcing. Now, new research released by the nonpartisan Council on Contemporary Families gives an answer: It doesn’t. And it probably never has. This is despite two decades of warnings from academics and social commentators who pointed to studies that claimed a correlation between “shacking up” and splitting up – warnings that increased as ...

A 70-year-old man from Treviso, a city in the northern Italian region of Veneto, became embroiled in a bitter feud with his son after booking an escort who turned out to be his offspring’s girlfriend. When the father booked an escort in the nearby city of Vicenza, he got the shock of his life when she turned out to be his 40-year-old son’s South American girlfriend, Il Gazzettino reported. Clearly embarrassed, the pair promptly bid each other farewell, the newspaper said. The man then pondered whether to tell his son that the woman was in fact an escort, and not the waitress she claimed to be, while at the same time exposing his use of the dating service. Deciding honesty was ...

I went up to the VA campus to use their walking track right after sunset yesterday: it was still 70* at 6:30PM and I was wearing shorts. Cold front came in last night and temp has been dropping all day, it was already 23* when I got up at 7:30 this morning. It's been sleeting/snowing ever since late morning, thank goodness the warm ground has inhibited too much accumulation. I'm tired of Winter!!

The Sandy Hook “PHANTOMS” – Victims With Absolutely NO BIRTH RECORDS

We previously showed that NO SSDI/SSDMF official death records exist for ANY of the supposed Sandy Hook children “victims”. Now we ask the next logical question; were any of them even BORN? Here you will see the results of a careful search for any evidence that the identities used for the Sandy Hook event have a real birth record. Given the resources available to the perpetrators, it is shocking how little effort was put into creating credible victims. Poster Comment:

I know, I know. This makes me a "bad" American. So be it. The way I look at it though is you play you pay. They paid. They chose to live the lives they did, working for a corrupt organized crime syndicate. I no more lose sleep over their deaths than I would reading about a mafia button man getting gunned down. Besides that, anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows full well that the Republican/Democrat-controlled government doesn't give a damn about them, their lives, or their families. The POWS in Vietnam are proof of that, not to mention the lies sold to the public concerning Iraq which led to the death and/or dismemberment of thousands of American soldiers. ...

DENVER — Colorado welfare recipients are using ATMs located inside marijuana retail shops to withdraw cash. The money was given to them by taxpayers to help their families survive, but an exclusive Fox31 Denver investigation found some cash benefits most likely going toward marijuana purchases. FOX31 Denver asked the Colorado Department of Human Services for its “Quest card” database of Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cash transactions for the month of January, 2014. That is the first month in which Colorado marijuana dispensaries were regulated and open for recreational sales. The FOX31 Denver investigative team matched the addresses of EBT cash withdrawal locations ...

CLOVER, SC (WBTV) - An elderly man was shot by a York County Sheriff's deputy Tuesday evening during a traffic stop, according to officials. The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on North Main Street near Motseller Street in Clover. Officials say Deputy Terrence Knox, a three-year veteran of the department, pulled over a pickup truck being driven by 70-year-old Bobby Canipe because of an expired license plate. Canipe then got out of the truck and grabbed his cane from the bed. That's when, deputies said, Knox fired several shots, striking Canipe once. "The situation is very unfortunate. It does appear, at this time, that Deputy Knox's actions were an appropriate ...

Maria Montanez-Colon, 58, was arrested in Punta Gorda, Florida for misuse of the 911 system she said was the only way to get an officer she thought was ‘sexy’ back to her home. The calls began on Friday night after 6 p.m. when Ms. Montanez-Colon’s first 911 conversation began with her telling the dispatcher, “There’s no emergency.” She then indicated that she wanted a Corvette back from her stepson, a car she had signed over to him following her husband’s dea The Smoking Gun reported that when police officer Justin Davoult arrived at Montanez-Colon’s home, the woman was intoxicated. She made several advances towards the officer and informed him ...

MUSTANG — Mustang High School teacher Carrie Hixon recently asked her students “What if you used your bank debit card to buy lunch at Taco Bell and you didn't have enough money in your checking account. What do you think Taco Bell will do?” “Make you wash dishes,” the class clown popped off. A serious Hixon countered, “Until recently, Taco Bell and your bank each could charge you a fee of $25 to $35. Thankfully, a recent law requires establishments to deny the purchase and hand your card back to you, if you have insufficient funds.” “If you have overdraft protection for your checking account, your bank instead might extend you a short-term loan ...

Billionaire venture capitalist Tom Perkins has a new idea for voting rights in America: if you have more money, you get more votes. Perkins unveiled his new idea at a forum titled “The War on the 1%” that was held Thursday in San Francisco in response to a request for a “60 second answer” for how to change the world. “The Tom Perkins system is: You don’t get the vote if you don’t pay a dollar in taxes,” Perkins responded. “But what I really think is it should be like a corporation. You pay a million dollars, you get a million votes. How’s that?” Call it Citizens United on steroids, a world in which the 1% can quite literally buy ...
