America's New World Order Agenda Post Date: 2011-11-13 04:27:12 by Stephen Lendman

America's New World Order Agenda - by Stephen Lendman New world order strategy dictates major global economic, political, and military policies. Nothing happens accidentally. Events are manipulated. At issue is world dominance. America, Israel, and key NATO nations are partnered to achieve it. Wars, economic disruption, financial terrorism, and other upheavals play out in real time. Grand schemes lie behind them. Today's economic crisis wasn't happenstance. It was well planned, willful policy to transfer unprecedented wealth to private hands. Super-rich crooks got richer. Social inequalities deepened. Unmanageable debt levels skyrocketed. "Bailouts" metaphorically ...
Reports: U.S. Military to Help Fight Nigerian Terrorists Post Date: 2011-11-13 04:21:32 by Tatarewicz

The Pentagons shadow war in Africa could have a new front, if reports coming out of Nigeria are accurate. U.S. troops are headed to Nigeria to help local forces do battle with Boko Haram, an Islamic terror group that has killed up to 400 people this year in an escalating campaign of bombings and shootings. At least thats what Nigerian military sources tell Scott Morgan, a journalist based in Washington, D.C. who writes under the pseudonym Confused Eagle. The Guardian also has the story. U.S. officials have refused to confirm the deployment. However, a new U.S. assistance mission would be consistent with steadily increasing Pentagon involvement in a wide range of ...

Big Lies Launch Wars - by Stephen Lendman In "The Art of War," Sun Tzu said "All war is based on deception." What worked in ancient times more than ever applies now, given instant ways of communicating globally and super-weapons Washington and Israel threaten to use like hand grenades. In "Doctor Faustus", Christopher Marlowe mentioned "the face that launched a thousand ships." He referred to Helen of Troy (formerly of Sparta). To win her back, Greeks launched 1,000 warships. According to Greek mythology, the Trojan War followed. Homer's Odyssey and Iliad recounted it. So did Roman poets Virgil and Ovid. Homer said it lasted 10 years. ...

War of Words on Iran - by Stephen Lendman Provocative rhetoric followed release of the IAEA report on Iran's nuclear program, despite baseless allegations in it. In October 2009, the Agency leaked a document titled "Possible Dimensions of Iran's Nuclear Program" to the New York Times. At issue was circumventing then IAEA head Mohamed ElBaradei. Allegations in it were spurious. As a result, he wouldn't touch it. Two months later Yukiuya Amano replaced him. IAEA was politicized. In December 2010, the London Guardian published a leaked US embassy cable saying he's "director general of all states, but in agreement with us." Its title was: "Amano ready ...

Pro-Israel Groups Outline U.S. Options to Assist Syrian Opposition On November 8, the Foreign Policy Initiative and the Foundation for Defense of Democracies jointly issued a discussion paper that outlines policy options for the United States and like-minded nations to further assist the anti-regime Syrian opposition. Entitled Towards a Post-Assad Syria, the paper advocates imposing crippling sanctions on the Assad government, providing assistance to Syrian opposition groups, and imposing no-fly/no-go zones in Syria. Founded in 2009, the Foreign Policy Initiative is the successor organisation to the Project for the New American Century, a ...

America's Media War on Iran - by Stephen Lendman When Washington goes to war or threatens it, America's media march in lockstep, cheerleading. Fiction substitutes for fact. News is carefully filtered, dissent marginalized, and supporting imperial belligerence substitutes for full and accurate disclosure. As a result, patriotism means going along with rogue policies. Never mind rule of law principles and democratic values. Free and open societies are risked. So is humanity if belligerents overstep. The IAEA Iranian nuclear program report stirred a hornet's nest of inflammatory commentary, no matter the agency's fabricated contents. Previous US intelligence assessments ...

Iran: WMDs Redux - by Stephen Lendman Here we go again. Everything that goes around, comes around. We've seen it all before, each time fake. Nothing's different now. Previous articles said US intelligence assessments through March 2011 found no evidence of Iranian nuclear weapons development. During his December 1, 1997 - November 30, 2009 tenure as IAEA director general, Mohamed ElBaradei concurred. He carefully avoided anti-Iranian rhetoric and baseless charges. After his departure, agency policy changed. IAEA was established as an intergovernmental scientific and technical cooperation forum. It was also to insure safe, peaceful nuclear technology applications. Initially ...

Fabricated IAEA Report on Iran Released - by Stephen Lendman Previous articles said US intelligence assessments through March 2011 (the latest one) found no evidence of Iranian nuclear weapons development. During his December 1, 1997 - November 30, 2009 tenure as IAEA director general, Mohamed ElBaradei concurred. He carefully avoided anti-Iranian rhetoric and baseless charges. As a result, Washington and Western allies replaced him with Yukiya Amano, known to be more amenable to their interests. Six ballots and heavy pressure eliminated South Africa's Abdul Samad Minty. Under his tenure since December 1, 2009, IAEA became a Western tool, providing conjecture, dubious intelligence, ...

War Winds Target Iran - by Stephen Lendman Anti-Iranian rhetoric and saber rattling is one thing, baseless accusations another if serve as pretext for aggressive war. Whether or not it's coming isn't known. Heated tensions are worrisome if boil over. Leaked information on an imminent IAEA report may or may not precipitate it even though what's coming lacks credibility. During his tenure as IAEA director general (December 1, 1997 - November 30, 2009), Mohamed ElBaradei carefully avoided anti-Iranian rhetoric and baseless charges. Numerous times he discounted a potential threat with comments like: People should stop claiming "Iran will be a threat from tomorrow and that ...
Correcting the ‘fairy tale’: A SEAL’s account of how Osama bin Laden really died Post Date: 2011-11-07 21:30:09 by Eric Stratton

Correcting the fairy tale: A SEALs account of how Osama bin Laden really died Forget whatever you think you know about the night Osama bin Laden was killed. According to a former Navy SEAL who claims to have the inside track, the mangled tales told of that historic night have only now been corrected. It became obvious in the weeks evolving after the mission that the story that was getting put out there was not only untrue, but it was a really ugly farce of what did happen, said Chuck Pfarrer, author of Seal Target Geronimo: The Inside Story of the Mission to Kill Osama Bin Laden. In an extensive interview with The Daily Caller, Pfarrer gave a detailed ...

The law case of the century: Indictment against NATO military and political leaders. NATO: Indictment for breach of international law in the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya. The military and political leaders of NATO are hereby accused of the following crimes committed in the Libyan campaign of 2011, in which the systematic breaches of international law are underlined. Understanding that international law exists and that it is systematically broken by certain powers with impunity, understanding that such a situation is unacceptable and that the same set of laws should apply to all, equally, with the same sets of weights and measures employed in upholding it, I hereby ...

Spoiling for Another Fight? - by Stephen Lendman American foreign policy is defined by rage to ravage. Lunatics run the asylum. Washington's criminal class is bipartisan. People have no say. Wealth and power alone matter. It's always been that way, today more than ever. Post-WW II, America lurched from one war to another. Today they're waged in multiples. A queue perhaps includes Syria and Iran topping the list. Ongoing for months, Western intervention incited Syrian violence. At issue is regime change, eliminating an Israeli rival, and advancing America's imperium. Libya's insurgency began the same way before NATO attacked last March. Will Syria follow the same ...

Former Mossad Chief Halevy: Iran Attack Will Impact Region For 100 Years OpEdWritten by: Richard Silverstein November 5, 2011 Ynet reports (fuller Hebrew version) that Ephraim Halevy, a former Mossad director, said yesterday that Iran poses no existential threat to Israel and that attacking it must truly be a last resort. Anyone considering such a strike must realize that it would impact not just Israel, but the entire region for the next 100 years. If this was all Halevy said it would be important, but mere reinforcement of views already expressed forcefully by Meir Dagan, the most recent past Mossad chief. What renders the formers views even more ...

America's Imperial Arrogance - by Stephen Lendman Already waging multiple direct and proxy wars, will Obama dare launch more? Views differ. Some believe budget constraints contain him. Others say imperial aims matter most. Heading into an election year adds further complications for and against more war. Will presidential aspirants anger voters advocating it? Republican hawks aren't worried. Will Obama launch it when public sentiment wants current ones ended? Don't bet against it, whatever he says. With growing rage against the system, changing the subject may work best distracting it. At issue is hoping fear resonates more than human need and grievances. Fake threats ...
A Perversely Perfect War Post Date: 2011-11-05 06:51:33 by Ada

In a perverse way, a zombie war is a perfect war. A lot of money changes hands. And relatively few people are killed, compared to a real war. The British medical journal, The Lancet, estimates the total death toll from the Iraq war at nearly 700,000. When the war began, Pentagon experts estimated the cost of the war at about $60 billion. They underestimated by 8,000%. But if the war were to stop tomorrow
and if Joseph Stiglitzs estimates of total cost were close to correct
each Iraqi killed (lets hallucinate that he was an enemy combatant) would cost about $8 million. You have to wonder why America would want to kill even a single Iraqi, let alone at a ...

Washington and Israel: Rogue State Partners - by Stephen Lendman This articles follows another about both countries' state terror partnership. Their agenda includes waging belligerent, political, economic, social, and repressive wars on humanity at home and abroad. Money and power alone matter. Human welfare is sacrificed for more of both. Equity, justice, freedom, and other democratic values are non-starters. Humanity's survival is threatened. In recent weeks, Western and Israeli anti-Iranian rhetoric intensified. Attending the Cannes, France G-20 summit, Obama stressed "the need to maintain unprecedented international pressure on Iran to meet its obligations." If ...

National Public Radio's War on Free Speech - by Stephen Lendman Like other major media sources, NPR serves corporate and imperial interests. It's called public to conceal its real agenda. Critics ridicule it as National Pentagon or Petroleum Radio for good reason. It features managed, not real, news and information. In its May/June 2004 issue of Extra!, Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) headlined, "How Public Is Public Radio? saying: From inception, "it promised to be an alternative to commercial media that would 'promote personal growth rather than corporate gain (and) speak with many voices, many dialects.' " Not according to FAIR on ...
World War III: Bomb Iran, Russia and China will retaliate Post Date: 2011-11-05 02:15:57 by Tatarewicz

Did you know that apparently World War III has been planned? This appears to be the reported scenario. American-backed forces will bomb Iran. You may think... whateva. Iran is a backward and isolated country. After all, America bombed Iraq and Libya. That did not lead to World War III. Wrong! Iran is neither backward nor isolated. Tehran's subway system makes the New York City system appear to be a dump, and Iran is part of a NATO-style alliance backed by Russia and China. Oh.. you did not know that, did you? Now, are you starting to see the big picture. So, if we bomb Iran, Russia and China will have to bomb us?? Russia's Vladmir Putin has already warned of retaliation if the ...
Western Democracy: A Farce and a Sham Post Date: 2011-11-04 09:53:51 by Ada

Every day that passes adds to the fraudulent image of what is called Western democracy. Consider that the entire Western world is outraged that the Greek prime minister announced that he is going to permit the Greek people to decide their own fate instead of having it decided for them by a handful of banksters, politicians, and bureaucrats living it up at taxpayer expense at "talks" in the French resort of Cannes on the Mediterranean. The Greek economy is facing its fourth year of decline and lacks the revenues to service its national debt held by private European banks. The banks dont want to lose any money, so a handful of power brokers reached an agreement with ...

Target Iran - by Stephen Lendman In the past five years, Iran faced four harsh rounds of sanctions. At issue is its alleged nuclear threat. No evidence proves it. Last May, its Bushehr nuclear plant began operating. In September, it began supplying the national grid with 60 megawatts of electricity, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA). Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) spokesman Khadem Qaemi said operations were at 40% of capacity. Earlier in 2011, the IAEA said no information suggests "possible military dimensions" to its plans. For years, Tehran's insisted its intentions are entirely commercial and peaceful. It's emphatic claiming no ...

Washington's Man in Libya - by Stephen Lendman After ousting independent leaders, Washington replaces them with puppets. Mustafa Abdul Jalil is interim chairman. Until October 23, Mahmoud Jibril was prime minister. Abdurraheem el-Keib replaced him, a dual US/Libyan citizen. He lived in America, holds a doctorate in electrical engineering, and taught at North Carolina State University and the University of Alabama for years. A businessman and prominent Tripoli family scion, he also taught at the UAE's Petroleum Institute. Big Oil giants fund it. He played no part in the conflict. Last August, Washington parachuted him in as their man. Past puppet rulers were installed the same ...

Washington Wants Its Imperial Model Replicated in Libya - by Stephen Lendman Washington ran NATO's imperial war against Libya to colonize, occupy and plunder another vassal state. Democracy and humanitarian considerations are non-starters. Only wealth and power matters. Libyans will be ruthlessly exploited. Decades of vital social gains are lost. NATO turned Libya into a charnel house. Tens of thousands of corpses bear testimony. Major media scoundrels lied about war objectives from inception. Now they cheerlead ravaged Libya's success. Correspondents there see one thing and report another. They make pimps, prostitutes and dope peddlers look respectable in comparison. Peaceful ...

I read frequently among the lesserly neuronal of the supposed honor of soldiers, of the military virtues of courage, loyalty, and uprightness--that in an age of moral decomposition only the military adhere to principles, and that our troops in places like Afghanistan nobly make sacrifices to preserve our freedoms and democracy. Is not all of this nonsnese? Honor? A soldier is just a nationally certified hit-man, perfectly amoral. When he joins the military he agrees to kill anyone he is told to kill, regardless of whether he has previously heard of the country in which he will kill them or whether the residents pose any threat to him or his. How is this honorable? It is cause for lifelong ...

US official: 13 Americans killed in Afghan bombing By AMIR SHAH Associated Press KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- A U.S. official says all 13 NATO service members killed in a suicide bombing in the Afghan capital were American troops. The official confirmed the nationalities shortly after NATO issued a statement saying that 13 of its forces were killed in Saturday's blast. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, which also killed four Afghans, including a policeman.
