Even without the WikiLeaks revelations that U.S. helicopter pilots gunned down twelve Iraqi civilians, that U.S. soldiers ignored brutal torture carried out by Iraqi security forces, that the U.S. military withheld from the public information about 15,000 Iraqi civilian deaths, that U.S. special forces have been secretly embedded with Pakistani military, that the U.S. government massacred children and was complicit in the Yemeni government taking the blame for the deed, and that U.S. troops carelessly killed civilians and then covered it up, there were numerous criminal acts perpetrated by the United States military under the guise of the war on terror. Here are just a few representative ...

It is hard to get a glimpse of where we are headed and the overall picture from just one or two articles. The global picture is what is important here in order to be able to see the overall design. Of course since most people have been trained by the ongoing mass media PsyOps to not connect one data point to another and then draw from it an overall picture they have been neutralized as a potential opposition. Poorly educated people with low levels of literacy are cut off from observation. Much of the material telling the story is written material, and a poor vocabulary and lack of training in formal reasoning cuts them off from being able to see. It is not that most people are incapable ...

The majority of the troops will receive a cover designation and be labeled diplomats, but their job will be to protect oilfields and serve four giant military bases that will ensure the occupation remains permanent. Confirming our earlier reports, the Israeli ...

Pledge to Stop the Machine in DC in October October 2011 is the 10th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan and the beginning of the 2012 federal austerity budget. It is time to light the spark that sets off a true democratic, nonviolent transition to a world in which people are freed to create just and sustainable solutions. "I pledge that if any U.S. troops, contractors, or mercenaries remain in Afghanistan on Thursday, October 6, 2011, as that occupation goes into its 11th year, I will commit to being in Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C., with others on that day with the intention of making it our Tahrir Square, Cairo, our Madison, Wisconsin, where we will NONVIOLENTLY resist ...

07.13.2011 Austerity For Everyone, Except The DOD Categories: Features While Congress and the President fight it out over the debt ceiling and all of America quietly shudders over whether our economy will completely default on itself, at least one industry still hums along without a care in the world. Amidst a fiscal crisis of apparently apocalyptic proportions, where the GOP demands dollar for dollar spending cuts from the budget in order to raise our debt limit, the Pentagon asked Congress for $264 million to cover part of a $771 million overrun on the F-35 program. The Hill reports Republican Senator John McCain let the news slip via Twitter, saying Congress notified that ...

Washington's Ongoing Libya Terror Bombing - by Stephen Lendman On July 14, Mossad-connected DEBKAfile headlined, "The Libyan War ends. Obama makes Moscow peace broker. NATO halts strikes," saying: "Bar the shouting, the war in Libya ended Thursday morning, July 14, when (Obama) called Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to hand Moscow the lead role in negotiations with (Gaddafi to end) the conflict - provided only that the Libyan ruler steps down in favor of a transitional administration." More about Obama's demand below. For now, America's Libya terror bombing continues unabated, despite a White House July 13 Office of the Press Secretary release, saying: ...

Murderous American Soldiers: Reason To Quit?By R. Duane Graham WARNING: The following post contains a disturbing photograph. Syndicated columnist Dan Thomasson wrote in Sunday57;s Joplin Globe that it is time to get out of Afghanistan. He makes the point that historically speaking the mission is hopeless. He touches on the cost. He mentions that, until the unwise Iraq invasion, early in the Afghanistan war there was a narrow window to get bin Laden and accomplish a 60;limited engagement there.61; But the time has long passed.Notwithstanding those legitimate points, Thomasson57;s biggest reason to get out seems to be the indisputable fact that the war is not popular with the American ...

A Decade of US War Costs - by Stephen Lendman On June 29, Reuters writer Daniel Trotta headlined, "Cost of war at least $3.7 trillion and counting," explaining: In June, when Obama claimed America's post-9/11 (Iraq/AfPak) wars cost $1 trillion, he did what he does best - lied about how much, in fact, was spent and projected, five or more times his figure. According to a June Brown University Watson Institute for International Studies (WIIS) "Cost of War" report, up to $5,444 trillion was spent and projected with all related expenses and obligations included. More on that below. In March, the Congressional Research Service (CRS) made its own estimate in an Amy ...

WASHINGTON -- A CIA officer who oversaw the agency's interrogation program at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq and pushed for approval to use increasingly harsh tactics has come under scrutiny in a federal war crimes investigation involving the death of a prisoner, witnesses told The Associated Press. Steve Stormoen, who is now retired from the CIA, supervised an unofficial program in which the CIA imprisoned and interrogated men without entering their names in the Army's books. The so-called "ghosting" program was unsanctioned by CIA headquarters. In fact, in early 2003, CIA lawyers expressly prohibited the agency from running its own interrogations, current and former ...

Behind the Georgia Guidestones (They HAVE Been Successful) By Coral Snake Part 4 of a 5 part article Probably the most asked question about the Progressive conspiracy against the American People is If there is such a conspiracy that has been at work for a hundred years or more then where is their New World Order? A simpler version of this same question is Why arent they more successful? The answer has been they were Quite Successful. It is that the common sheeple who asks this question has no standard by which to measure that success. To obtain such a standard of comparison we have to compare the last century that the Progressives ...

The Right to Buy Weapons is the Right to be Free The Weapon Shops of Isher, A.E. van Vogt, 1954 Some years ago I was talking with a woman I know who told me that while she was for people owning weapons she could not invest in weapons stocks. Since she said she could not buy weapons stocks for religious reasons I let the matter drop. I didnt want to upset her by telling her she was already investing in weapons stocks. When the U.S. government takes peoples money though taxation, it uses that money to design and manufacture weapons. The taxpayers have no say in the matter. My friends tax money was being used to produce weapons of war whether ...
Four US-led troops killed in Afghan war Post Date: 2011-07-10 02:02:45 by Tatarewicz

Four US-led NATO soldiers have been killed in separate incidents in Afghanistan as foreign troops continue to experience some of their deadliest days in the country. NATO says a US-led soldier and an ISAF civilian were killed in an attack in the country's volatile east. The military coalition, in line with its usual policy, has withheld other details about the incident. Two American soldiers were also killed in a shooting by an Afghan guard. Another US soldier was also wounded in the shooting that took place in the northern province of Panjshir. The guard himself was also killed after American soldiers fired back. The developments come at a time when the US-led war in ...
Another U.S. War for al-Qaeda Post Date: 2011-07-07 06:37:41 by Ada

Now we have yet another potential reason to oppose the Libya war. According to West African governments, Obamas war is actually empowering al-Qaeda, as the terrorist group is reportedly looting weaponry from Libyan rebels. This is in addition to the fact that U.S.-supported rebels themsleves have admitted to having ties to al-Qaeda. This would make the undeclared war in Libya only the latest to benefit Americas no. 1 terrorist enemy. The Iraq war, according to many experts, was a great boon for al-Qaeda, which used the massive U.S. military presence as a recruiting tool. There were practically none of these people in Iraq until after the U.S. invaded. And although the ...

NATO Using Nuclear Weapons in Libya - by Stephen Lendman As part of a Libya international observer team, Middle East analyst Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya headlined his July 5 Global Research.ca article, "NATO War Crimes: Depleted Uranium Found in Libya by Scientists," saying: Sites targeted include "civilians and civilian infrastructure." Scientists from the Surveying and Collecting Specimens and Laboratory Measuring Group confirmed "radioactive isotopes (radioisotopes) at bombed sites" from field surveys conducted. Scientific analysis was conducted at the Nuclear Energy Institution of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya. It showed that "several sites contain even ...

Libya: Flashpoint for Global Conflict - by Stephen Lendman On July 3, Peter Dale Scott told Progressive Radio News Hour listeners what he fears most. He repeated it in a July 4 email, citing a Paul Joseph Watson Infowars.com article, accessed through the following link: http://www.infowars.com/report-ground-invasion-of-libya-within-two-weeks Using information from DEBKAfile, a Jerusalem-based intelligence site with close Mossad ties (providing commentary and analysis on regional terrorism, intelligence, security, military and political affairs), he discussed a frightening prospect. More on it below. Founded in June 2000, DEBKA calls itself independent, "pioneer(ing) intensive news ...

It seems sensible and logical that followers of someone called the Prince of Peace would not act like they are following Mars, the Roman god of war. As I have maintained whenever I speak about Christianity and war, if there is any group of people that should be opposed to war, empire, militarism, the warfare state, an imperial presidency, blind nationalism, government war propaganda, and an aggressive foreign policy it is Christians, and especially conservative, evangelical, and fundamentalist Christians who claim to strictly follow the dictates of Scripture and worship the Prince of Peace. I have also maintained throughout these wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that, even though it is ...

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee recently voted to approve a resolution backing President Barack Obamas use of United States forces in Libya. The panel voted 14-5 to approve the resolution that will allow the military to continue to conduct limited strikes using unmanned drones and planes, according to The Washington Times. However, the resolution explicitly forbids the use of American troops on the ground either during the conflict or afterwards. Despite the passing of the resolution in committee, a number of senators on both sides of the aisle have been critical of the Obama Administrations handling of the Libya situation. I think the administration has been ...

The U.S. Party is now moving faster to concentrate power in the military, to expand U.S. murder attacks around the world, and to intimidate any critics in the ways totalitarian regimes do in their early days to silence critics as they consolidate their power and then use more open forms of terror and oppression. Obama appears to be more the front man for this rapid seizure of power, but we cannot yet tell now active he is in pushing it. [Hitler used the President of Germany as his front man, the Party secretly intimidated journalists and anyone in their way, and later became more open once they got the Enabling Act passed. The U.S. "Patriot Act" is an Enabling Act very similar ...

(CBS News) Finally this evening, the last draftee is set to retire from the army this summer at the age of 58. Command Sergeant-Major Jeff Mellinger was drafted back in 1972. In recent years, he survived 27 roadside bombings while deployed in Iraq. CBS News correspondent Mandy Clark reports on another long-serving veteran with a great story. In Afghanistan being a doctor can be a frontline position. But even back from the fighting, men and women of the U.S. Military have tough jobs and the medical problems to match. An experienced eye makes all the difference, and few are more experienced than Dr. John Burson, an ear, nose and throat specialist from Villa Rica, Georgia. At age 76, he ...

Colonizing Libya by Military, Financial, Political and Propaganda Terrorism - by Stephen Lendman After three and a half terror bombing months and counting, destroying Libya for wealth and power continues, each imperial nation playing its part in this sinister dirty game, masquerading as liberation. France finally admitted what's already known, that it's been supplying mercenary cutthroats with automatic weapons, rocket launchers, assault rifles, anti-tank missiles, and who knows what else. So have Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, perhaps other US imperial allies, and the Pentagon itself. In mid-April, The New York Times said Benghazi-based rebels got weapons from abroad without naming ...

All warfare is based on deception. ~ Sun Tzu Enemies are necessary for the wheels of the U.S. military machine to turn. ~ John Stockwell If some peoples pretend that history or geography gives them the right to subjugate other races, nations, or peoples, there can be no peace. ~ Ludwig von Mises I never in my life would have thought that I would I enlist in the military. Sure, there are a great many reasons that people do enlist, some want money for college, others want a change of pace, yet others had dreamed of it since they were a kid. None of these reasons explains why I joined. In many ways it would dictate my fate. I grew up in a middle-class ...

WASHINGTON The clandestine American military campaign to combat Al Qaedas franchise in Yemen is expanding to fight the Islamist militancy in Somalia, as new evidence indicates that insurgents in the two countries are forging closer ties and possibly plotting attacks against the United States, American officials say. Related An American military drone aircraft attacked several Somalis in the militant group the Shabab late last month, the officials said, killing at least one of its midlevel operatives and wounding others. The strike was carried out by the same Special Operations Command unit now battling militants in Yemen, and it represented an intensification of an American ...
