Libya: War for World Government

"It is a test that the international community has to pass. Failure would shake further the faith of the people's region in the emerging international order and the primacy of international law." -Brookings Institute's "Libya's Test of the New International Order," February 2011 While a parade of politicians and pundits cite the "international community," the UN, and the "Arab street" as giving them the justification to not only wage illegal war on Libya, but to threaten illegal war against Syria as well, it should be remembered that it was neither the UN nor the "international community" that laid the ground work for this ...

Thank you, Muammar 17.04.2011 Thank you, Muammar. 44061.jpegThank you, Muammar Al-Qathafi. For the vast majority of human beings, time on this planet is an anonymous passage. They are born naked, leave nothing and die lying down. In your case, you have left a legacy and a philosophy of Governance which will serve as a beacon of light for thousands of generations. And you refuse to lie down. Thank you Muammar Al-Qathafi. I sincerely hope that you live among us for many years to come and that you weather this imperialistic storm, dampening the flames of religious extremism and terrorism, fanned by a clique of sickening protagonists who wish to rape Libya and Africa, whose murderous ...

uebec and the Fairy Godmother Today, let's have some fun and play Fairy Godmother to Quebec . Let's grant the province the wish it articulated in Copenhagen . Wave the magic wand and poof, wish granted. Shut down Alberta 's oilsands, except, since it's Quebec making the wish, we have to call it tarsands, even though it's not tar they use to run their Bombardier planes, trains and Skidoos. Ah, at last! The blight on Canada 's reputation shut down. All those dastardly workers from across Canada living in Fort McMurray , Calgary and Edmonton out of jobs, including those waitresses, truck drivers, nurses, teachers, doctors, pilots, engineers etc. They can all go on ...

Fuck the Public Sector

If one were to—hypothetically—shoot every other public-sector worker in the back of the head, I believe you would not notice a single blip, hiccup, or ripple in the country’s operation. Things might very well improve, including our national finances. The state sector is the chief vehicle by which the witless, the retarded, and the pathologically lazy can find employment. They produce nothing, they do nothing, they mean nothing. It is why the political left embraces them and why they in turn cling to the political left—all at the poor bloody taxpayer’s expense. Inside the state machine, ability does not count: People are automatically elevated and rewarded with ...

As an increasing number of people that I know have confided in me that their hopes for early retirement are vanquishing, it got me thinking. Most of these people were counting on completely unrealistic and "tip oriented" day-trading type of stock market activity or what amounts to financial ponzi schemes of one sort or another to make them wealthy enough to retire early, say at 50 or 55, and without any financial worries whatsoever relatively speaking. I know as a fact that most did not earn enough to even come close to amassing that kind of wealth by the time that they were 50-55, and given their spending habits otherwise. Others, friends of mine, played Russian Roulette with ...

These are tough times for Minnesota schools. In Lakeville, for example, the school board recently announced wrenching cuts of almost $7 million. Ninety-four teachers will lose their jobs, arts programs will suffer and a school will be closed. There was wailing and gnashing of teeth, but the board set its jaw: There's not a dime for anything extra. Unless you've got an ax to grind with white folks. Then the money spigots open. The Lakeville schools are sending a delegation of teachers to the 12th annual "White Privilege Conference" at the Bloomington Sheraton from April 13-16. The district is shelling out $160 a pop -- plus $125 a day for teacher subs -- for this ...

The Enduring Mystique of the Marshall Plan

The Enduring Mystique of the Marshall Plan Amidst all the stirring political upheavals in North Africa and the Middle East the name "Marshall Plan" keeps being repeated by political figures and media around the world as the key to rebuilding the economies of those societies to complement the political advances, which hopefully will be somewhat progressive. But caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware. During my years of writing and speaking about the harm and injustice inflicted upon the world by unending United States interventions, I've often been met with resentment from those who accuse me of chronicling only the negative side of US foreign policy and ignoring the many ...

A “working class hero,” John Lennon told us in his song of that title, “is something to be/ Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV/ And you think you’re so clever and classless and free/ But you’re still fucking peasants as far as I can see.” The delusion of a classless America in which opportunity is equally distributed is the most effective deception perpetrated by the moneyed elite that controls all the key levers of power in what passes for our ...

Libya after the NATO invasion There can be no quick fix for a Libya caught between a loose-cannon despot and an opportunistic Western intervention. Mahmood Mamdani Last Modified: 09 Apr 2011 16:33 The first two decades of Gaddafi's rule brought some benefits to Libyan society, but those soon became overshadowed by demagogic worship of the leader and tribalism [GALLO/GETTY] The 2010 UN Human Development Index – which is a composite measure of health, education and income – ranked Libya 53rd in the world, and first in Africa. What was a predominantly rural and backward country when the king was deposed 42 years ago is today a country with a modern economy and high literacy. ...

Migrants forced to fight for Gaddafi 'They said we must stay to fight when the Americans come,' a Ghanaian worker tells Al Jazeera from a refugee camp. Anna Branthwaite Last Modified: 09 Apr 2011 16:14 Many migrants from sub-Saharan Africa fled Libya when fighting began. Some say they were kidnapped and forced to fight alongside Muammar Gaddafi's forces [Anna Branthwaite/Al Jazeera] Among the reports of atrocities occurring in Libya are claims from African migrants that they were abducted and forced to fight with Gaddafi's forces. Nearly all migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, who arrive at the desert refugee camp in Tunisia, have fled in fear of violent reprisals by ...

AIPAC's newest strategy AIPAC is a useful tool when you want to predict the future of any peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians. MJ Rosenberg Last Modified: 15 Mar 2011 17:10 AIPAC's tone is a good indicator of Israeli PM Netanyahu's stance [GETTY] Prime minister Benyamin Netanyahu is being heavily criticised in Israel for his blatant exploitation of the murder of five members of one family (including three children) at the Itamar settlement near Nablus. Particularly egregious has been Netanyahu's demand that president Mahmoud Abbas personally appear on Palestinian radio and television to condemn the killings, although Abbas had issued an unusually strong ...

Libya: Making something out of nothing The entire Western narrative on Libya is misleading, framed by an Orientalist discourse, scholar argues. Najla Abdurrahman Last Modified: 07 Apr 2011 12:06 Not only do Libyans have to deal with Gaddafi, but they must also combat Orientalist critiques of their revolution [AP] As the Gaddafi regime continues to wage war on the Libyan people and the coalition-backed uprising risks falling into a stalemate, many pundits have speculated about what might happen next, not only with regard to the potential problems facing Libya if and when it enters its post-Gaddafi phase, but also with respect to the fitness of Libyans, as well as the rest of the Arab ...

Diversity Perversity

The terms affirmative action, equal representation, preferential treatment and quotas just don't sell well. The intellectual elite and their media, government and corporate enthusiasts have come up with diversity, a seemingly benign term that's a cover for racially discriminatory policy. They call for college campuses, corporate offices and government agencies to "look like America." Part of looking like America means if blacks are 13 percent of the population, they should be 13 percent of college students and professors, corporate managers and government employees. Behind this vision of justice is the silly notion that but for the fact of discrimination, we'd be ...

385 CommentsIs Tribalism the Future? by Patrick J. Buchanan 04/08/2011 "This is a far, far away country about which we know very little," said Neville Chamberlain in 1938 as he declined to take his country to war over Adolf Hitler's claim to the Sudetenland. Indeed, Chamberlain knew almost nothing of Czechoslovakia, inside whose borders, set at the Paris peace conference of 1919, dwelled 7 million Czechs, dominant over 3.25 million Germans, 2.5 million Slovaks, 800,000 Hungarians, 500,000 Ruthenians and 150,000 Poles, all of whom had been consigned to Prague without their consent. Czechoslovakia was an artificial nation, its borders drawn up by Allied mapmakers to ...

01.04.2011 I am pleased to stand with my colleagues today who are outraged at Nobel Peace Laureate President Obama's decision to wage war on Africa in Libya. At the outset, let me state that Libya is home to tens of thousands or more of foreign students and guest workers. The students come from Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Somalia. The messages I have received from concerned Africans state that these young innocent people, inaccurately labeled by the U.S. press as "black mercenaries," have been trapped in hostile territory and are hated by the U.S.-allied Al Qaeda insurgents. The press forgot that Libya is in Africa and that Libyans are Black! I would also like to acknowledge ...

Mike Church: The Most Radical Man on the Radio By Michael Brendan Dougherty March 28, 2011 The King Dude is shuffling papers, clearing his throat. The revolution he leads will not be televised, but it will be patched in by satellite during the morning drive. The King Dude is bouncing in his seat, his feet dangling about a foot above the floor. His voice is beamed into space from Sirius XM’s studio in Washington, D.C., then back to earth and through your dashboard where it explodes, pops, and fizzes in your skull like a fireworks show dangerously out of control. In approximately the next 45 seconds he will reference “The Matrix,” The Lord of the Rings, the “Virginia ...

So, click the link above. You'll see a video of a UFO captured over Colorado. Testimonies from regular folks. They intermingle a bunch of movie stuff, alien graphics, and of course, people who say it's nothing. Then bring up the Balloon Boy incident. THEN, right after that video, they run a video of the Dome Of The Rock video, which is treated completely different. It's SERIOUSLY treated. Un fucking real. If there is ANY doubt in anyone's mind that Israel is being turned into the center of the world, let this show for all time, that even their strange occurrences aren't treated the same as ours.
