American Capitalism Gone With a Whimper

This article originally appeared in Pravda. It is reprinted with the permission of the author. It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people. True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists. Those lessons were taken ...

Devvy Kidd: What if a Joe Stack had murdered Joe Banister?

By now, most of the country is aware of the suicide plane crash on February 18, 2010, in Austin, Texas. As it so happened, I was on the road to Tyler, Texas that morning to see Dr. Edwin Vieira speak the next day. Upon my return, I sent out an email with my opinion because I could not believe how many emails were there praising Joe Stack. He was a real patriot hero! In my quick note, I said: Old Joe also killed an innocent person in that building. Allegedly, that fatality was an IRS employee. Hooray. Old Joe did the "mission accomplished" his way, but it won't change one single IRS regulation. He also badly injured 13 people - two are in critical condition because of massive ...

Remembering the Alamo

February 23 marks the anniversary of the beginning of the battle of the Alamo back in 1836. For more than 13 days, 186 brave and determined patriots withstood Santa Anna's seasoned army of over 4,000 troops. To a man, the defenders of that mission fort knew they would never leave those ramparts alive. They had several opportunities to leave and live. Yet, they chose to fight and die. How foolish they must look to this generation of spoiled Americans. It is difficult to recall that stouthearted men such as Davy Crockett (a nationally known frontiersman and former congressman), Will Travis (only 23 years old with a little baby at home), and Jim Bowie (a wealthy landowner with properties ...

Alex Jones Is About To Explode (Texas Monthly)

The Austin radio host’s wild conspiracy theories—The swine flu vaccine will lead to martial law! 9/11 was an inside job! An evil global network is preparing to institute a New World Order!—have already earned him dedicated fans across the country. But as the tea parties and Obama hatred go mainstream, he may be ready to give Glenn Beck a run for his money. It was the fourth and final hour of The Alex Jones Show, the most popular conspiracy talk radio program in the country, and everybody in the Austin studio was getting a little weary. As they do six days a week, Jones and his four young producers were simultaneously turning out a nationally syndicated live radio show, a ...

The Republican Strategy: Covert Destruction at all Costs
Post Date: 2010-02-22 09:53:31 by Ferret Mike

It takes awhile to make sense of the entrails of the Republican Party, partly because they are just so toxic, but also because it's actually difficult to comprehend that an American political party can so deliberately sabotage its own government and nation. But after observing their behavior and their policy of, "Just Say No" -- sometimes to their own suggestions, one can only surmise that they long ago left the business of governing and have instead agreed to a covert game plan of destruction while simultaneously playing an overt game of seduction with the American public. The seductive part of their plan is the one more familiar to the public -- constantly talk about what ...

Mark Levin: I have no idea what philosophy Glenn Beck is promoting. And neither does he

I was invited to be the opening speaker at Saturday’s CPAC session. I had accepted but then, to my amazement, I learned that the John Birch Society would be one of many co-sponsors. This takes the big-tent idea many steps too far for me. So, I withdrew. Apparently, others were not so moved. That’s fine. But it wasn’t for me. Bill Buckley and Barry Goldwater, among others, chased the Birchers from the movement decades ago. And they’re not a part of the movement. So, to give them a booth at CPAC was boneheaded. I want to commend Bill Bennett for his wise piece this morning on the Corner. I agree with him. I have no idea what philosophy Glenn Beck is promoting. And ...

Hell of a week. Fired a long time employee last night cause he was stupid on "anti-anxeity" pills and kept giving away $360 in change for a $ 35 purchase. And he demanded it as his "right" to take the sucker pills while working for us. He was going to cause a collosial problem for us ---soon. Predictable he is pissed - we are the bad people who don't want pilled up clerks handling liquor, guns and money. I like the guy and I believe we had become his Mother and Dad figure, but it wasn't going to work as he had gotten too friendly with the goofy pills. Might be OK if you are on the farm, not here working with payroll check processing. Go figure. Now we are ...

FOCUS 'A complex diplomatic entanglement' By Mark LeVine Binyamin Netanyahu has made his first official visit to Russia since taking office a year ago [GETTY] Earlier this week, Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, visited Moscow in his first official trip to Russia since taking office a year ago. During the visit, Netanyahu urged Russia to support calls for new sanctions against Iran over its nuclear programme, highlighting the key role Russia plays in the nuclear standoff. Here, historian Mark LeVine looks at the history of Russian-Israeli relations. The Israeli-Russian relationship is one of the most complex and intriguing diplomatic entanglements in ...

Why I'm Not at CPAC

I was asked yesterday whether I would be going to CPAC, the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, which is currently being held a half-hour's walk from my office in D.C. It was a logical question, not only since the meetings are so close at hand but also because for five years I chaired CPAC. CPAC brings together conservative activists from every corner of America. As national chairman of the American Conservative Union, a founding trustee of the Heritage Foundation, and director of the policy task forces for Ronald Reagan's 1980 presidential campaign, speaking at CPAC and shaping the program were high priorities on my personal agenda every year, even while serving in ...

I Wish Joe Stack Had Not Killed Himself [Full Thread]

All of us are now aware of the Texas man who yesterday flew his private plane into a 7-story Austin office building. Apparently, he intentionally crashed his plane into the building to target the IRS offices that were housed inside the facility. As I am writing this column just hours after the event took place, there has not yet been a lot of time for the major news media talking heads to spin the story. By the time this column is released on Friday, however, I'm sure we will all have been inundated with copious references to this man, Joe Stack, as being "off his rocker," or similar assertions. Perhaps our friends at DHS will label Stack a "right-wing domestic ...

"National Review": Still unbearably smarmy and even more out of touch

I don't often visit the online pages of "National Review" much less their blog page "The Corner". But its interesting (and useful) to know what DC approved, vetted, and wholly owned "conservatives" are focusing on these days and how they see things. Someone needs to tell the gang on "The Corner" that being smarmy is not the same as being irreverent- which is indeed the tone they are going for on that blog- as young Turk "conservative" rebels- bucking the "powers that be" . . . . . . when, of course, they sit on the laps of the "powers that be" begging for biscuits. I was struck by how John Derbyshire < A ...

Why liberal opposition to the security state will fail.
Post Date: 2010-02-18 22:09:19 by F.A. Hayek Fan

The reason why no real opposition exists to the ever expanding federal security state is because liberals are cringing cowards when it comes to 9/11. There are rules about 9/11 that all "serious" pundits must follow or else they risk being resigned to the "truther" bin and blacklisted forever from "mainstream" media. There are actually not many rules. Really just one when you get right down to it. And that rule can be summed up as follows and it is strictly enforced: "The 9/11 suspects are guilty and the government narrative of that day is beyond question." Beyond that and you are in dangerous territory. Gore Vidal skirted this territory and ...

David Duke Reviews 'Inglourious Basterds' On Youtube
Post Date: 2010-02-18 07:46:57 by Liberate Jim Traficant

David Duke reviews Inglourious Basterds. He shows that the film starring Brad Pitt and Eli Roth is nothing but a sadistic and pro-torture. sick Jewish hate film. The film itself, and its overwhelming approval by the mainstream media shows just how sick Hollywood and the entire mainstream media is today. Of course, it is understandable. Look what the Zionists have done to the Palestinians, they have tortured 6000 a year over many decades, they have stolen their land, imprisoned those who resist, bombed and burned and maimed tens of thousands of men, women and children. Dr. Duke also shows the work of the co-star, Eli Roth who is famous for "torture-porn" a new film genre ...

Flashbangs Under Fire - It's time to stop using stun grenades during drug raids.

The New York Times reported last week that the New York City Police Department has halted the use of "flashbang" stun grenades. The department began phasing out the devices in 2003 after their deployment in a mistaken drug raid caused 52-year-old Alberta Spruill to suffer a fatal heart attack. The prior year, the department had used flash grenades 175 times. Flashbangs detonate with a blinding flash of light and a deafening explosion. Their function is to temporarily stun people in a targeted building until police or military personnel can get inside. Though the weapons are marketed as non-lethal, there have been a number of incidents in which they've set homes on fire (some ...

Political Risk Is Not Economic Risk
Post Date: 2010-02-17 14:10:50 by F.A. Hayek Fan

There’s nothing quite like a New York Times columnist for spouting gobbledegook on matters economic: perhaps only the editorials themselves are worse. Tom “Airmiles” Friedman gives us a lovely example here: Banks, multinationals and hedge funds often hire foreign policy experts to do “political risk analysis” before they invest in places like, say, Kazakhstan or Argentina. They may soon have to add the United States to their watch lists. Now he’s right so far, investors really are adding the US (and the UK) to their list of places where political risk is a concern. But Tom then goes on to waffle about leadership, strong government (and the lack of it), ...

Psychopaths vs organized conspiracy: Which makes more sense?

There is disagreement regarding who is responsible for the mess that we are in now. Some people think it is all an organized conspiracy perpetrated by _______(insert favorite group here)___________ and those who see it as a result of psychopathic behavior. Here is a test of sorts that describe psychopathic behavior. I found it at http://psychology.wikia.com/wiki/Psychopathy I'm not a shrink, but I can read. You can go right down that list and see how it fits our leaders like a glove. Cleckley defined psychopathy thus:[8] 1. Superficial charm and above average intelligence. 2. Absence of delusions and other signs of irrational thinking. 3. Absence of nervousness or neurotic ...

Obama, the war president

Obama, the war president First published: Monday, February 8, 2010 President Barack Obama does have a foreign policy. It's called war. The President has not defined any real difference between his hawkish approach to international issues and that of his predecessor, former President George W. Bush. Where's the change we can believe in? Bush left a legacy of two wars, neither of which was ever fully explained or justified. Obama has merely picked up the sword that Bush left behind in Iraq and Afghanistan. In the struggle against terrorism, one might say, "Who cares?" One group that cares consists of Americans who follow the rules and think we should honor all the ...

A WARNING TO THE TEA PARTY NATION (Chuck Baldwin)
Post Date: 2010-02-12 11:59:15 by christine

As far as grassroots activism goes, the surge in Tea Parties across America is one of the more encouraging developments to recently take place. It reminds me of the "Conservative Revolution" of 1994, when the GOP reclaimed both the US Senate and House of Representatives. At that time, it had been over 40 years since the Republican Party controlled both the US House and Senate. And, between the two, the House victories were the most significant. Spurred mostly by the election of Bill Clinton in 1992, a host of young, energetic freshman Republicans marched into Washington, D.C., determined to return a burgeoning and out-of-control federal leviathan to the constitutional precepts of ...
