In the study of History, it is important to introduce students to the use of original documents. After all, isn’t it better to read about the way things were through the words of those who were there, and the thinkers who rousted the stream of time from its sluggish, slumbering flow? Do you watch the news on TV? I don't. In fact, there are times when I will not turn on the TV for a week. My wife will, but only, of course, to Spanish stations, and that is a real chore to listen to (for me), so I don't pay attention anyway. I read. But Sunday morning, just for a change, I decided to do something different. With all of the news shows and Meet the Press B.S. on, OK, I will 'check it out' and see if anything has changed.
