Petraeus Testimony Next Week Will Signal Iran Attack by Paul Craig Roberts Page 1 of 1 page(s) http://www.opednews.com Tell A Friend April 5, 2008. Today the London Telegraph reported that “British officials gave warning yesterday that America’s commander in Iraq will declare that Iran is waging war against the US-backed Baghdad government. A strong statement from General David Petraeus about Iran’s intervention in Iraq could set the stage for a US attack on Iranian militiary facilities, according to a Whitehall assessment.” The neocon lacky Petraeus has had his script written for him by Cheney, and Petraeus together with neocon warmonger Ryan Crocker, the US ...

Again and again in these columns I have respectfully reminded you that the main reason this country is now on its knees is the communist government schools. We could not have arrived at the end of the plank had not those schools cooked our brains from the beginning. The communist media left and right – from the Communist Broadcasting System and the Communist News Network to Loopy Laura and Limbag – would not be enough. It could not have been done without the communist schools. That is why the schools want ever younger victims. Consider that the most important time you hear about something is the first time, because the first time you have nothing to compare it to. You can’t ...

Zbigniew Brzezinski: The Smart Way Out of a Foolish War

The Smart Way Out of a Foolish War By Zbigniew Brzezinski Sunday, March 30, 2008; B03 Both Democratic presidential candidates agree that the United States should end its combat mission in Iraq within 12 to 16 months of their possible inauguration. The Republican candidate has spoken of continuing the war, even for a hundred years, until "victory." The core issue of this campaign is thus a basic disagreement over the merits of the war and the benefits and costs of continuing it. The case for U.S. disengagement from combat is compelling in its own right. But it must be matched by a comprehensive political and diplomatic effort to mitigate the destabilizing regional consequences ...

Wright Moves On Up INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY Posted 3/31/2008 Election '08: What could be worse than an Afro-Marxist preacher exhorting thousands of blacks to hate whites and swear off their middle-class materialism? One who does the exact opposite. Barack Obama had hoped the retirement of his fire-breathing pastor would put the controversy to rest. But the Rev. Jeremiah Wright is retiring in luxury — with all the trappings of the white "middleclassness" he warns his flock to avoid. Wright is forsaking South Side Chicago and the black ghetto for a gated golf club community in Tinley Park, an affluent suburb. The area has seen a boom in growth from mostly ...

It's (semi) official: We're in a recession. The Federal Reserve chairman didn't come right out and say it in his appearance before the Joint Economic Committee yesterday, but in his carefully hedged, deliberate mumbo jumbo, Ben Bernanke delivered a message as stark as bread lines and shantytowns. "It now appears likely that real gross domestic product will not grow much, if at all, over the first half of 2008, and could even contract slightly," he testified. It didn't take an economics PhD to crack Bernanke's code: Two quarters of economic contraction is the common definition of a recession. "Am I correct in understanding that you now believe a ...

"There's this hilarious disconnect in the sheeple brain, where they have been progressively brainwashed over a forty year period into believing that once they have genocided themselves, an identical civilization will be left behind except with a different demographic makeup. They will yank the white tablecloth out from under the dinnerware and the society will remain standing, only melanin-enriched but otherwise the same. It's like white people all over the planet were each taking turns shooting themselves in the head with the same gun, convinced when they have all killed themselves they will leave the perfect society behind. I've got bad news for you. What you think of ...

The Utter Normality Of Ethnonationalism—Except For Whites

The Utter Normality Of Ethnonationalism—Except For WhitesBy Kevin MacDonald Jerry Z. Muller’s Foreign Affairs article, Us and Them: The Enduring Power of Ethnic Nationalism (March/April, 2008), is a grim and timely reminder of the power of ethnicity in human affairs. It has explosive implications for the future of the United States and the West. Muller demonstrates that, over the last 150 years or so, the general trend in Europe and elsewhere has been has been toward the creation of ethnically-based states—“ethnostates”. This trend did not end with the close of World War II. In Europe, the war was followed by a forced resettlement of peoples—mainly ...

Immigration, The Price of Oil and The Collpase of Social Security

Every time ae add 50,000,000 people we must import 100% of the oil those 50,000,000 demand and use. To import that oil we have to print enough dollars to bid away from foreign consumers all of that oil we import. Please note that when we went from a population of 250,000,000 to 300,000,000 people all 300,000,000 Americans had to pay the higher oil price. Currently we are paying $100 plus for a barrel of oil. Let us fast forward to the near future when we pass Amnesty for Illegal Aliens and to a few years beyond that to when we add another 50,000,000 oil consumers to our population. The world has caught on to the fact that the dollars we print are becoming worhtless so we have to promise to ...

Oh Yeaaaaaah, It may have been too little too late, Glenn, but at least you had Ron Paul on. I want to express my thanks. I don't have cable TV but I heard the interview replayed on the internet. I am also a regular listener to your radio program, as I drive a tractor and have ample opportunity to listen to the entirety of your program every day. (And do so unless the tractor breaks down.) Your mention last evening of the 1907 monetary crisis was precisely on point. The same burglars that concocted that crisis were put in charge of solving it. (This is the Hegelian Dialectic). A problem is created to cause a reaction that will demand a solution. The same parties are yet in control of ...

The New York Times v. Hugo Chavez - by Stephen Lendman Carly Simon's theme song from the 1977 James Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me" says it all about The New York Times' agitprop skill - "Nobody Does It Better" nor have others in the media been at it longer. Most important is The Times influence and reach and what media critic Norman Solomon says about its front page. He calls it "the most valuable square inches of media real estate in the USA." It's read by government, business leaders and opinion-makers everywhere and for that reason is hugely important. Hugo Chavez is its frequent target, and Simon Romero has the assignment as The Times' ...

ARE WE HEADED FOR JERICHO?

A friend recently turned me on to the CBS television series, Jericho. I watch so little network television that I confess to never having seen the show before this week. Obviously, then, I am quite uninformed as to the overall plot and previous episodes. What I saw Tuesday evening, however, stunned me. Why? Because it very aptly depicted what could become a very real-life scenario for these United States in the not-so-distant future. If I accurately picked up the basic plot of the show, average, freedom-loving citizens in the Western U.S. are fighting against tyrannical elements of their own government, including military forces. The State of Texas has declared its independence from the ...

Exclusive: Joseph Farah sees senator's 'dark soul' in his regret about helping Schiavo Posted: February 28, 2008 EXCERPT: By Joseph Farah Does Barack Obama live in a parallel universe? I have a feeling he must actually be from another planet – where up is down, left is right, black is white and right is wrong. How else can one explain his extraordinary response in the Cleveland debate to the question of which Senate vote he would like to take back? In his four years as a freshman senator from Illinois, Obama has already cast hundreds of votes. He has also failed to cast dozens and dozens of votes on some of the most important and controversial legislation debated in ...

March 25, 2008 There They Go Again The Crazy Rev. Wright By ISHMAEL REED Nothing is more uplifting than watching MSNBC's "Morning Joe," where wealthy Anglicized Irish Americans like Joe Scarborough, Chris Matthews, Tim "Little Russ" Russert and Pat Buchanan hold forth on the topic of race. During the week beginning March, 17, 2008, the talk was all about whether Barack Obama should distance himself from Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Presumably in the same manner that they distanced themselves from Don Imus. Buchanan has been awarded more time to discuss race and the bigotry of Rev. Wright than the scores of black intellectuals and scholars, who could provide some ...

PJB: The “Isms” That Bedevil Bush

On reading George Bush’s discourse to the New York Economic Club last week, Cicero’s insight came to mind: “To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child.” With Iraq entering its sixth year, the dollar sinking to peso levels, the economy careening into recession, and 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens roosting here, Bush alerted us to what really worries him: “I’m troubled by isolationism and protectionism … (and) another ‘ism,’ and that’s nativism. And that’s what happened throughout our history. And probably the most grim reminder of what can happen to America during periods of isolationism ...

Should suburbanites take care of their own needy?

Saturday, March 22, 2008 Letter Should suburbanites take care of their own needy? Detroit's mayor has exhumed the deceased N-word that was so ceremoniously buried this past year -- with Kwame Kilpatrick's use of it in the State of the City address. And then City Council issued a new edict of no federal funding for Detroit charities with boards controlled by suburbanites (meaning whites). Our church in Troy has been tending to the needy of the inner city with food, gifts at Christmas and deliveries of clothing and bedding to the homeless who live in the tunnels under parts of the city. Perhaps we should change our mission, tend to the needy suburbanites and allow Detroit to ...

Claim Obama Hates The U.S.? No, You Can't

Sunday, March 23, 2008 You can honestly oppose Barack Obama for president because of what he thinks about Iraq and health care. You can honestly oppose him because you consider him inexperienced. But you can't oppose him honestly because he's secretly an America-hating black nationalist. Based on new polls, some Americans have reached that conclusion about Sen. Obama. They can't reconcile the uplifting message of his campaign with video snippets of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his ex-pastor, railing against the country he hated so much that he joined the Marines. If guilt by association is all that matters for a candidate, though, what about John McCain? In 2000, Sen. McCain ...

We’re now in the midst of an epic financial crisis, which ought to be at the center of the election debate. But it isn’t. Now, I don’t expect presidential campaigns to have all the answers to our current crisis — even financial experts are scrambling to keep up with events. But I do think we’re entitled to more answers, and in particular a clearer commitment to financial reform, than we’re getting so far. In truth, I don’t expect much from John McCain, who has both admitted not knowing much about economics and denied having ever said that. Anyway, lately he’s been busy demonstrating that he doesn’t know much about the Middle East, either. Yet ...

Iran Celebrates Victory Over America! March 2, 2008 VLAD'S DAILY GLOAT Today is Sunday, but there is no rest for America's entropy. Today, America's biggest evil villain, the "Hitler-like" Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, flew to Iraq and was given a red carpet treatment, post-war Iraq's first ever! Could there be anything more humiliating than this? Ahmadinejad flies into supposedly-occupied Iraq, and does a Funky Chicken Dance right in front of 150,000 helpless American soldiers. They're losing a war that Ahmadinejad is waging against them, and to top it off, the regime that America is dying and going broke to support loves America's enemy more ...

Bill O'Reilly Needs to Enroll in "Understanding the Internet 101"

As I arrived at the ballroom of the Omni Shorehem hotel in Washington yesterday to give a speech at the Take Back America conference, I was approached by one of Bill O'Reilly's video crews, looking to do an ambush interview about objectionable anonymous comments that appeared on our site (comments that we unequivocally repudiate and take down as soon as we become aware of them; more on this in a moment). O'Reilly has been banging this tired drum -- calling me no different from Nazis and the KKK -- for weeks now and is giddily promoting yesterday's exchange on his website as "An Explosive Showdown. We confront the Huffington Post over Tony Snow comments." (It will ...

Barack Obama went to Philadelphia to talk about race and blew it. Rather than focus on our need to treat people as individuals rather than as racial tribes, Senator Obama gave a history lesson on slavery and group differences premised on the different "black" and "white" experiences in America. He offered a bone to those whites who resent affirmative action and feel they are the victims of "reverse discrimination," but he did not say there are many whites — including those who voted for him — who do not resent affirmative action and who do not put either themselves or other individuals into racial boxes. Mr. Obama could have and should have said ...

John McCain Associates With Known Mass Murderer George W. Bush

Why does John McCain associate with a known murderer and a decedent of Nazis? John McCain needs to explain his appearances with George W. Bush the mass murderer. Why would John McCain associate with a man who bombs and kills women and children. Does John McCain know that George W. Bush has had hundreds of thousands of people killed? If John McCain doesn't know that doesn't that mean he is to senile or stupid to become president.? If John McCain does know about Georges evil deeds than what does that say about John McCains character? So John McCain needs to come forward and level with the American people about his association and allying himself with George W. Bush the mass murderer. ...
