About one in four Americans suspect that President Barack Obama might be the antichrist, more than a third believe that global warming is a hoax and more than half suspect that a secretive global elite is trying to set up a New World Order, according to a poll released on Tuesday. The survey, which was conducted by Public Policy Polling, asked a sample of American voters about a number of conspiracy theories, phrasing the questions in eye-catching language that will have the country's educators banging their heads on their desks. The study revealed that 13% of respondents thought Obama was "the antichrist", while another 13% were "not sure" – and so were at ...

Ostraka were the voting paraphernalia for getting rid of public figures. Their are members here... useless members that constantly reply to themselves and generally act in the biggest nuisance they can with out remorse or apology. Ever thought about polling your current active membership to see how they feel about ostracizing someone...? Just wondering....

Gay Marriage, Beastiality, and Red Equal Signs

Lately, if you turn on the news or open up your Facebook feed, all you’ll see are red equal signs. While I don’t support gay marriage, I try to think of this from the other side sometimes, and put myself in the shoes of those red-equal-sign-flaunting folk. I think to myself, “Ok, let’s pretend I’m not a Christian. I don’t believe that God is the Creator and the authority over all. I don’t believe that what He says about homosexuality in the Bible is true. Heck, I don’t even believe He exists.” So, let’s pretend, for a moment, I’m that person (or some variation of that person). Maybe I’d feel embarrassed that I didn’t see ...

So I got my car (87 crn vic) put into the shop(xtian bros) tuesday morning. I had a hole in the lower left radiator. The reservoir also had a broken hose I wanted replaced. They went with a new radiator. Cost me 449.cents... The next day my transmission blew. Fluid gushed so much I thought it was my radiator again. If only. So they towed it back to the shop (after I had it towed home 98 bucks) Now the mechanic has taken the blame and said a new hose they put on split. Upon fixing that and test driving it was discovered the transmission is indeed burned out. He has found a man that will do the rebuild for 800 dollars. They are willing to get me a rental car in the mean time. OR He has ...

Berezovskyanism in the USA?

In the NYT, Masha Gessen, author of a biography of Vladimir Putin, summarizes a long interview with the late Boris Berezovsky: Berezovsky’s account had some holes, but he stuck to it his entire life. Whatever his exaggerations or omissions, he played a significant role in Russia’s transition from Boris Yeltsin to Putin. What strikes me is that years later — and up until his death — he still thought it had been a brilliant idea. Berezovsky claimed to have been the mastermind behind picking a man with no public face, a former K.G.B. agent, to succeed Yeltsin as the president of Russia. He also said it was his idea to manufacture an entire nonideological ...

The True Meaning of the V-Word by Steve Sailer March 27, 2013 What do people really mean by the word “vibrant?” Until the disco era, “vibrant” was used only rarely, mostly in connection with vibrations, literal or metaphorical. A quick search online finds no examples of “vibrant” in the works of George Orwell or John Updike, one in Evelyn Waugh‘s (“that silence vibrant with self-accusation”), and two in Vladimir Nabokov‘s. (Humbert Humbert looks up to a “vibrant sky” through “nervous” rustling branches.) According to Google’s Ngram, “vibrant” was an occasionally used word from the 1920s into the early ...

Recently it was reveled that Obama has a food taster. This was reveled when he could not eat lobster at a lunchen because his food taster was not present. If you think food tasters are something reserved for royalty your correct. After all what has the office of US president become if not an elected king? He can kill who ever he wants where ever he wants with out any justification. Maybe that is a good reason to be so paranoid as to have a food taster. Apparently that food tasters job wont be cut due to poor job performance or sequesters. HOWEVER the sequester will affect the jobs of the volunteers that ran the white house tours. Not that they got paid to show the public the house ...

What will America be like when whites are a minority

The spoiling of white Americans began decades ago with the advent of the welfare culture. Intertwined with civil rights legislation, non-whites have crafted the art of shaking down white people through government processes. White business owners are constantly on guard against discrimination lawsuits both from employees and customers. Affirmative Action programs give non-whites unfair advantages in both education and hiring. It's called 'social justice.' The alarm was sounded ten years ago with the publication of 'SHAKEDOWN: Exposing the real Jesse Jackson.' More audacious efforts to judicially scam white people have been attempted, but failed. • What isn't ...

American politics today is quite literally mindless. Think about it. Things have been tending that way for a long time, but in the last three decades a state of perfect mindlessness has prevailed. Of course, there has always been demagoguery, and at least since Martin Van Buren the predominant political parties have tended to avoid and obfuscate serious issues and stick to a vague and comfortable middle. But we have surely now reached a further stage in the collapse of meaningful self-government. When was the last time there was any serious debate, any presentation of genuine competitive alternatives to the voters, in any presidential or congressional election? When is the last time there ...

Three days after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Congress approved the Authorization for Use of Military Force. It was enacted with good intentions — to give President George W. Bush the authority to invade Afghanistan and go after Al Qaeda and the Taliban rulers who sheltered and aided the terrorists who had attacked the United States. Related News But over time, that resolution became warped into something else: the basis for a vast overreaching of power by one president, Mr. Bush, and less outrageous but still dangerous policies by another, Barack Obama. Mr. Bush used the authorization law as an excuse to kidnap hundreds of people — guilty and blameless people alike ...

Chomsky: Corporations and the Richest Americans Viscerally Oppose Common Good The Masters of Mankind want us to become the "stupid nation," in the interests of their short-term gain -- damn the consequences. March 7, 2013 | The following is Part I of the transcript of a recent speech delivered by Noam Chomsky in February. AlterNet will publish Part II on Sunday, March 10. Whether public education contributes to the Common Good depends, of course, on what kind of education it is, to whom it is available, and what we take to be the Common Good. There’s no need to tarry on the fact that these are highly contested matters, have been throughout history, and continue to be so ...
