GET THE VIDEO HERE; articles.mercola.com/site...ill-gates-video-ever.aspx This video from Bill Gates’ 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) keynote address -- his last for the foreseeable future -- is hilarious! Now that he’s essentially retiring from active work at Microsoft, this video portrays some things he might do with his future career. I attended this year’s CES, and, of course with my love of technology I felt like a kid in a candy store. I saw some amazing new gadgets. Without a doubt, though, this was the funniest video at the event. It was great to see one of the wealthiest men in the world be so open to self-deprecating humor. Warning! This is one of the ...

Subject Iraqi Hockey Player ... this is for the hockey nuts While stationed in Baghdad with the US Army's 5th. Infantry, a soldier watched, spellbound as a group of Iragi teenagers played ball (field) hockey in a bombed out street. One of the older boys was absolutely sensational. It was impossible to describe his skills with his stick and his unbelievable moves and scoring ability. Since the soldier was from Detroit, and being anavid Detroit Red Wings hockey fan, the soldier wrote a letter to the Red Wings scouting office encouraging them to take a look at the young "phenom". The Red Wings did more than just access his ability. They offered him a once-in-a-lifetime ...

Daily Show: The return of 'You Don't Know Dick'01/29/2008 @ 6:26 am Filed by David Edwards and Muriel Kane "You Don't Know Dick!" is back on the Daily Show. The feature devoted to fun facts about Vice President Dick Cheney has previously revealed -- as Jon Stewart reminded viewers -- that "he has a man-sized safe, he has custom-made classified stamps, he has removed his house from Google Maps -- and he has a mystical power over wolves." "But did you know that Dick Cheney is also a master of acting completely counter to what he says?" Stewart asked his audience. Last week, Cheney ominously warned the ultra-conservative Heritage ...

401-Keg Plan

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00. With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left. If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left. But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00. Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle. It's called the 401-Keg Plan.

LONDON (Reuters) - A farmer built an entire mock castle behind a screen of hay bales and lived there concealed for four years to evade planning regulations, officials said on Friday -- but it may be torn down anyway. Robert Fidler hopes to take advantage of a provision of planning law that allows buildings without planning permission to be declared legal if no objections have been made after four years But Reigate and Banstead Borough Council in Surrey is not impressed. "It does not count because the property was hidden behind hay bales," said a spokeswoman. "No one knew it was there." The council wants the building near Redhill some 30 km south of London to be ...

LODI, Calif. - Shoplifting is all in the family for one California clan, police say. A grandmother, her daughter and some of her grandchildren tried to steal $900 worth of merchandise from a Target store in Lodi, 35 miles south of Sacramento, police Officer Misty Smith said. The family's alleged shoplifting spree earlier this week was captured by surveillance video, which police say showed them cutting open boxes and hiding MP3 players, digital cameras, DVDs, jewelry and sports equipment in purses, bags and a backpack. An 8-year-old and a 5-year-old were among the family members detained. "The 5-year-old actually had a pack of gum. A small item but we could see where her life ...

Dog walks into a bar and orders a drink. Bartender says, "We don't serve dogs here," pulls a pistol and bam! shoots the dog in a hind foot. The dog hops howling out of the bar holding his foot. Next day, dog walks back into the bar, dressed in a cowboy outfit, ten-gallon hat, a six-gun on each hip. Everyone looks at him and falls silent. Dog looks around at everyone and says, "I'm lookin' for the man who shot my paw."

His show is on soon on Travel Channel, when he visits Vancouver, a great food town, and he is on Sound Opinions, on NPR, to talk about food and punk rock, on Friday night. If you don't know him, he wrote the best book on what you should know about even expensive restaurants (They do spit on food and their fish is old and rank by Sunday) and he loves the Ramones. And he was a heroin addict, but still one of the best chefs in the world. Diggit.

SANTIAGO — An 81-year old man in the small Chilean village of Angol shocked his grieving relatives by waking up in his coffin at his own wake, local media said on Sunday. When Feliberto Carrasco's family members discovered his body limp and cold, they were convinced that the octogenarian's hour had come, so they immediately called a funeral home, not a doctor. Carrasco was dressed in his finest suit for the wake, and his relatives gathered to bid him a final farewell. "I couldn't believe it. I thought I must be mistaken, and I shut my eyes," Carrasco's nephew Pedro told the daily Ultimas Noticias. "When I opened them again, my uncle was looking at ...
