As all should now be able to see, 4um has a new look. The gist of everything is in place but there will be further tweaking of the look in the coming days. The software is being specifically redesigned to work with style sheets (css). This will allow fine tuning of fonts to the preference of the forum owner, which was hardcoded into the software previously. That work will be on-going. Enjoy!

Dubbed the Nanometer-silver Cryptomorphic Condom (NCC), it's designed for female rather than male usage. The condom-in-a-can is essentially an antiseptic foam spray that the manufacturer claims forms a physical membrane inside the vagina, protecting it from infection, acting as a barrier to pregnancy and providing a lubricating ...

It's that time Folks. As we chug along into the new year let us give thanks to frivolous wars, cheerleading neocon columnists, Ben Bernanke (God bless him), subprime real estate lending, undocumented immigrants that perform miracles with a hedge trimmer, Wal*Mart and every thing else that makes America great. And we should give special recognition to the forum bot at various TOS's (we seem to be low on them here, though the jury is still out on Dakmar - jk :) So let's elect a BOTY and heap inordinate amounts of shame and decrease their standing in their community to the point where small children throw rocks at them.

Women with high levels of the sex hormone oestrogen have prettier faces, research suggests. Typical female face with high (left) and low (right) oestrogen levels The findings make evolutionary sense - men are attracted to the most fertile women, the University of St Andrews team told a Royal Society journal. Oestrogen levels during puberty can impact on appearance by affecting bone growth and skin texture, they said. But make-up masks this effect, allowing less attractive women to compensate for their lack of natural mating cues. It makes sense for men to favour feminine fertile women - those that did would have had more babies Psychologist Miriam Law Smith The team of psychologists ...

TOKYO (Reuters) - A giant white radish that won the hearts of a Japanese town by valiantly growing through the urban asphalt was in intensive care at a town hall in western Japan on Thursday after being slashed by an unknown assailant. ADVERTISEMENT The "daikon" radish, shaped like a giant carrot, first made the news months ago when it was noticed poking up through asphalt along a roadside in the town of Aioi, population 33,289. This week local residents, who had nicknamed the vegetable "Gutsy Radish," were shocked -- and in some cases moved to tears -- when they found it had been decapitated. TV talk shows seized on the attempted murder of the popular vegetable and a ...

MILITARYCORRUPTION.COMTM Fighting for the truth . . . exposing the corrupt THE UNSUNG HERO OF THE USS IOWA EXPLOSION - HOW THE NAVY FAILED TO PUNISH A FEMALE OFFICER'S VENDETTA AGAINST HIM It was one of the most heroic acts in the annals of the U.S. Navy, and if it had occurred in wartime, Petty Officer John Mullahy would have won the Congressional Medal of Honor. Instead, he was the victim of a vendetta so vicious and unrelenting, his Navy career and life was ruined. His enemy, now-retired USN Capt. Patricia Rios, daughter and only child of Vice-Admiral John Barrow (now deceased), is alleged to have gone to great lengths to "punish" Mullahy for what he calls "refusing ...

Granny deserves self-defense Nov 16, 2005 by Cam Edwards It was just after midnight last Wednesday when Susan Buxton realized all was not well in her Arlington, Texas home. The 66-year old was getting ready to let her dogs out before she went to bed when she noticed her 28-year old granddaughter was still awake. “I asked her, ‘What are you doing up?’ and she says, ‘Gigi, I heard glass breaking.’” That didn’t raise too many alarm bells for the grandmother, but when she discovered a muddy footprint on her back porch, she knew someone was in the house. Luckily, Susan Buxton wasn’t alone. Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson have been Susan Buxton’s constant ...

If you consider that there have been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000. The rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 firearm deaths per 100,000. That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our nation's capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq. Conclusion: We should immediately pull out of Washington D.C.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- West Virginia is doing away with high-proof grain alcohol, citing safety concerns raised by college officials and others. The state's Alcohol Beverage Control Administration has stopped stocking 190-proof grain alcohol at its warehouse, which provides all liquor sold in the state. Although it announced the ban Wednesday, it asked liquor retailers more than a month ago to pull the potent product from their shelves. Agency officials said they are responding to concerns by college officials, law enforcement agencies and community groups about the alcohol, which at 95 percent pure is significantly more potent than other distilled spirits. "If you just pay ...

Judge Recounts Raucous Spring Break Tales

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (AP) -- Making out with palm trees. Mistaking police cars for taxicabs. Rolling a stolen restaurant barbecue down the road, flames shooting up from the chicken still cooking on the grill. Such spring-break high jinks have made Municipal Judge David Colwell's courtroom one of the best shows in town. Now Colwell has collected some of the memorable anecdotes from the past nine years, in a new self-published book, "Spring Break: A Judge's View From the Bench," being sold at local bookstores. Although Colwell recounts some serious episodes of violence and death, the majority of the anecdotes in the 98-page book are humorous. Most have to do with public ...

THEORY OF DUMB DESIGN MAY EXPLAIN PAT ROBERTSON Televangelist's Brain, Mouth Elude Other Theories, Experts Say Out of the controversial debate pitting the theory of evolution against the theory of intelligent design has emerged a new theory, dumb design, which some experts believe may explain the televangelist Pat Robertson. The theory of dumb design holds that human beings were designed by a superior being, but one who mysteriously designed certain humans in a particularly dumb way. Enter Rev. Robertson, whom many experts in the theory of dumb design are calling "Exhibit A" in their effort to prove that the theory holds water. "If you take a look at Pat Robertson's brain ...

I expect this afternoon to install a substantial pinguinite software upgrade. This upgrade will allow site admins to directly control site features that are currently set by a configuration file only I can access. I´ll need to bring the site down for a couple minutes for the upgrade. For the vast majority of you, the upgrade will be anti-climatic. You should notice nothing different. In fact, I hope you won´t, but if you do, it´ll likely be because I screwed up somewhere, and odds are that I did in a place of 3 as nearly all of the scripts running pinguinite have been modified as part of the upgrade. But i you notice problems, please let me know. they should be very ...

A swarm of locusts descended upon Dover, Pennsylvania overnight and completely eradicated the small town. As the sun rose this morning, aerial surveillance indicated utter and massive destruction. “It looks like an A-Bomb went off”, noted a Harrisburg traffic reporter and helicopter pilot dispatched to the scene. Clouds of locusts were spotted from the air filling the sky and landscape in and around Dover. “There appears to be no life down there and existing structures now mere piles of rubble.” noted pilot, Huey Twirlly. “And the critters seem to be centered in the city hall area.” In a hastily prepared news conference announcing the elevated terror alert ...

The cow and her calf developed such a taste for the intoxicating fruit they refused to bow to police attempts to chase them away from the ...
