Potted Meat Food Product There aren't too many products that feel the need to reassure you that they are, in fact, "food." Already not a good sign. The list of ingredients is long and horrifying, coming right out of the gate with "MECHANICALLY SEPARATED CHICKEN." Oddly enough, I'm about to be separated from my lunch, and I haven't even opened the can yet. Other ingredients include BEEF TRIPE, BEEF HEARTS, AND "PARTIALLY DE-FATTED COOKED PORK FATTY TISSUE" How does one de-fat fat? Bizarre. God knows what else is in here. Here is a different look at the much talked about security measures used at our airports today. As i see on television and hear from friends that many, many travelers are patiently cooperationg with the Transportaion Security Administration with relatively few complaints, I witness a beautiful side of our citizenry. Americans have such a respect for life that they are willing to undergo temporary embarrassment to ensure that not one fellow traveler suffers injury or death from a terrorist act. This is indeed the image we want to show our enemies, who care so little about life that they risk their own in order to do harm to others.

There is a part of me that sees the US as "Homer America." As in "Homer Simpson." There is precedence for this name change: Saudi Arabia is named after the tribe which conquered the other local tribes and then named the whole place – originally Arabia – after themselves. This is exactly the same as if I conquered the US, called it "Wallace America," then renamed my relatives and myself as "royalty" and gave ourselves titles like "prince" and "princess."
