The Real American Dream
Post Date: 2009-05-12 08:03:36 by Turtle

I don't know why people speak so highly of dreams all the time: e.g., the American Dream, "I have a dream," Dreams from My Father, etc. If my dreams are representative, then the real American Dream is that you're in the classroom for your final exam but you haven't attended a class or opened the book all semester, and for some reason you're wearing your pajamas, and you really have to go to the bathroom. Poster Comment:The only nightmare that I consistently is that it is the last day of high school, I have to take a test or I will not graduate, I can't find the classroom, I don't know the material, they're not speaking English, and I have to take all ...

Man Gets Probation After Threesome with Two Blowup Dolls

Cape Coral police arrested George Bartusek, 51, who was parked in a Publix parking lot and having what appeared to be a menage a trois with two blowup dolls in his car. My favorite line is the one in which Bartusek told police that he was parked there because he was going to the nearby Target to buy his dolls some clothes. Apparently, their barely-attired state was too much for him, and he never made it inside the store. To air is human, to forgive — devine Bartusek pleaded “no contest” and was sentenced to six months probation. Here’s a video of his court appearance, along with some commentary from Publix shoppers. Poster Comment: Raise your swords up high! See the black birds fly! Let them hear your rage! Show no fear! Attack! Charge your horses across the fields Together we ride into destiny Have no fear of death, when its our time Oden will bring us home, when we die! The ground trembles under us As we make our thunder charge The pounding hooves spread panic and fear into their hearts Our helmets shine in the sun as we near their wall of shields Some of them turn and run When they hear our frenzied screams! Draw your swords to strike! Hear the Black Birds cry! Let them feel your hate! Show no fear! Charge your horses across the fields Together we ride into ...

TURN ME ON HEREFinally, after 40 years, someone has opened the vault and revealed the answer to a question that has clawed at our brains since the 1969 Woodstock album was released: What the hell were the lyrics to Joe Cocker's version of 'A Little Help From My Friends'? He was so wigged-out and loopy on a multitude of drugs, no one has been able to understand his jarbled, mush-mouth version....until now! Click link below for the lyrics . . FINALLY IT'S CRYSTAL CLEAR!

The Púca (Old Irish), (also Pwwka, Pooka, Puka, Phouka, Púka, Pwca in Welsh, Bucca in Cornish, pouque in Dgèrnésiais, also Glashtyn, Gruagach) is a creature of Celtic folklore, notably in Ireland, the West of Scotland and Wales. It is one of the myriad of fairy (faery) folk, and, like many faery folk, is both respected and feared by those who believe in it. Contents Morphology and physiology According to legend, the púca is an adroit shape changer, capable of assuming a variety of terrifying forms. It may appear as a horse, rabbit, goat, goblin, or dog. No matter what form the púca takes, its fur is almost always dark. It most commonly takes the ...

Larry Santos (born 2 June 1941, Oneonta, New York) is an American singer-songwriter. He wrote tunes for several American pop bands in the 1960s, including the 1963 hit "Candy Girl" for The Four Seasons. In the mid-Sixties, he recorded a few singles as part of a group called The Madisons, as well as under his own name. Santos' music falls into the genre of blue-eyed soul; he released three albums in the 1970s and scored one pop hit single, "We Can't Hide it Anymore", which peaked at #36 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1976.

I wish a buck was still silver It was back when the country was strong Back before Elvis An before Viet Nam war came along Before the Beatles and 'Yesterday' When a man could still work, still would Is the best of the free life behind us now? And are the good times really over for good? An are we rollin' down hill Like a snowball headed for hell? With no kind of chance for the flag Or the Liberty Bell I wish a Ford an a Chevy Would still last ten years Like they should Is the best of the free life behind us now? And are the good times really over for good? I wish coke was still cola And a joint was a bad place to be An it was back before Nixon Lied ...

A Hillbilly went hunting one day in Georgia and bagged three ducks. He put them in the bed of his pickup truck and was about to drive home when he was confronted by an ornery game warden who didn't like hillbillies. The game warden ordered the hillbilly to show his hunting license; the hillbilly pulled out a valid Georgia hunting license. The game warden looked at the license, then reached over and picked up one of the ducks, sniffed its butt, and said,'This duck ain't from Georgia .This is a Tennessee duck.. You got a Tennessee huntin'license, boy?' The hillbilly reached in to his wallet and produced a Tennessee hunting license. The game warden looked at it, then ...

A kindergarten pupil told his teacher he had found a cat, but that it was dead. "How did you know the cat was dead?" his teacher asked. "Because I pissed in it's ear and it didn't move" the child replied innocently. "You did WHAT!!?? the teacher cried. "You know," explained the boy, "I leaned over and went 'Pssst!' and it didn't move."
