US Supreme Court: ‘law’ repugnant to the Constitution is void

US Supreme Court: ‘law’ repugnant to the Constitution is void By: Carl Herman A useful place for Americans to stand is with the US Supreme Court in one of its most cited decisions that anything passed as law in obvious violation of the US Constitution is not law, but void. Void as a legal term means the alleged “law” has zero legal force; that “void things are as no things.” Supreme Court Chief Justice Marshall’s crystal-clear wording is below. This definitive legal ruling empowers Americans acting upon or enforcing such non-laws to reject them in full confidence of their Oaths to support and defend the US Constitution against all enemies, foreign and ...

Impeach Them All (Again)

In recent posts I have tried to communicate how the country is heading toward increasing tyranny and economic collapse. This article was written about a year ago. It was correct then and likely more obvious today. Impeach Them All The US Government continues actions that will result in its own demise. That might seem fitting, except that its failure will seriously harm the citizenry. Government decisions and actions have assured an economic collapse that will result in another depression. Federal debts and promises are too large to be honored, a conclusion based not on economics but on simple arithmetic. The government collapse will likely trigger the economic collapse, although the order ...

OBAMA THREATENING VETERANS' GUN RIGHTS: Feds send letters to warn those deemed 'incompetent' on firearms... Written By Constitutional Attorney Michael Connelly, J.D.How would you feel if you received a letter from the U.S. Government informing you that because of a physical or mental condition that the government says you have it is proposing to rule that you are incompetent to handle your own financial affairs? Suppose that letter also stated that the government is going to appoint a stranger to handle your affairs for you at your expense? That would certainly be scary enough but it gets worse. What if that letter also stated: “A determination of incompetency ...

Targeting Jeremy Hammond

Targeting Jeremy Hammond by Stephen Lendman America is no democracy. It never was an isn't now. Obama enforces police state harshness. It's official policy. Lawless entrapment reflects it. More on that below. Hammond is one many victims. Some call him the other Bradley Manning. They do so for good reason. He founded the web site HackThisSite. In 2003, he created it after graduating from high school. On March 5, 2012, FBI agents arrested him in Chicago. They'd been investigating the Anonymous hactivist group. They use computers for political activism. They're connected likeminded groups. They include LulzSec, Internet Feds and AntiSec. Hammond's an AntiSec member. ...

CISPA Is Back

CISPA Is Back by Stephen Lendman It shouldn't surprise. The 2011 Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) never really went away. It ducked and covered for another day. It's more about destroying personal freedom than online security. It gives government and corporate supporters unlimited power to access personal/privileged information online. Civil liberty protections are ignored. Security experts, academics, and other professionals expressed outrage. They called CISPA and John McCain's SECURE IT Act measures that "allow entities who participate in relaying or receiving Internet traffic to freely monitor and redistribute those network communications" ...

Jefferson, Government and The People

Jefferson, Government and The People Every elected official in Washington takes an oath to defend the Constitution. That oath says nothing about ignoring it or repealing it. The oath demands they enforce it. All have committed impeachable offenses by not doing so. All deserve to be removed from office! The Socialist strategy and those who condone it was anticipated from the beginnings of this country. Thomas Jefferson knew what to watch for:The true theory of our Constitution is surely the wisest and best . . . (for) when all government . . . shall be drawn to Washington as the centre of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another, and will become ...

Sheriff to inspect the homes of assault-weapon owners

Misstep in gun bill could defeat the effort One of the major gun-control efforts in Olympia this session calls for the sheriff to inspect the homes of assault-weapon owners. The bill’s backers say that was a mistake. Forget police drones flying over your house. How about police coming inside, once a year, to have a look around? As Orwellian as that sounds, it isn’t hypothetical. The notion of police home inspections was introduced in a bill last week in Olympia. That it’s part of one of the major gun-control efforts pains me. It seemed in recent weeks lawmakers might be headed toward some common-sense regulation of gun sales. But then last week they went too far. By ...

Two Years of Bahraini State Terrorism

Two Years of Bahraini State Terrorism by Stephen Lendman February 14 marked the second anniversary of Bahrain's uprising. Earlier protests erupted sporadically. In mid-February 2011, major ones did nonviolently. They continue virtually daily. At issue is King Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa's tyranny. Bahrainis want democratic change, sectarian Shia discrimination ended, equitable distribution of state wealth, political prisoners released, and state terrorism stopped. They want fundamental freedoms. They want popularly elected leaders replacing Al-Khalifa rule. It's despotic, ruthless and intolerable. State terrorism is policy. Security force attacks, beatings, live fire, ...

While Left And Right Fight, Power Wins–Paul Craig Roberts

My experience with the American left and right leads to the conclusion that the left sees private power as the source of oppression and government as the countervailing and rectifying power, while the right sees government as the source of oppression and a free and unregulated private sector as the countervailing and rectifying power. Both are concerned with restraining the power to oppress, but they take opposite positions on the source of the oppressive power and remedy. The right is correct that government power is the problem, and the left is correct that private power is the problem. Therefore, whether power is located within the government or private sectors cannot reduce, ...

Michigan prosecutor targets activist who films police

A Michigan activist known for filming police is facing a three month jail sentence after his video of his pulling over a Detroit cop for not wearing his seat belt went viral on youtube. Steve McClain, who has made an avocation of exposing corruption among police and other government agents, is being charged with 'reckless driving'. After initially being appointed a public defender, McClain determined that his lawyer was not trustworthy and decided to represent himself. McClain noted that his former lawyer, after speaking with the prosecutor, had asked him "Steve, what the heck did you do, these guys want to hang you!" Incredibly, in an over-the-top effort to discredit the ...

Drug agents swarm reported meth lab, but find maple syrup operation

Laura Benson of Union County, Illinois was shaken when drug agents rapidly swarmed her home. At first Benson thought her son might have done something wrong, but then she was surprised to hear that the agents were there to investigate a reported meth lab on the property. "They pointed to the buckets and I told them my husband has a hobby of making maple syrup. Of course they realized it once they seen it," said Laura. Apparently someone saw the maple syrup collection tubes and buckets and thought it looked suspicious, so they called authorities. The Union County Sheriff said that it is standard procedure to investigate every tip the department gets. The Bensons have been making ...

Escalating Tyranny in America

Escalating Tyranny in America by Stephen Lendman America's no democracy. It wasn't established to be one. It never was and isn't now. Latter day framers today would be called a Wall Street crowd. They included money-lenders, investors, speculators, merchants, politicians, planters, and lawyers. High-mindedness wasn't on their agenda. They wanted America run by people who owned it. They made sure it turned out that way. Wheeler-dealer government is policy. The "supreme law of the land" is whatever presidents and sitting governments say. Wealth and power alone mattered. It's more than ever true today. Popular interests are entirely excluded. Government of, ...

Medals for Murder

Medals for Murder by Stephen Lendman Extrajudicial killing is official US policy. Drone wars normalize it. Obama decides who lives or dies. He appointed himself judge, jury and executioner. He's got final kill list authority. His secret memo authorized Anwar al-Awlaki's assassination. Anyone anywhere in the world can be murdered on his say. His "white paper" inverted inviolable legal principles. It's titled "Lawfulness of a Lethal Operation Directed Against a US Citizen who is a Senior Operational Leader of Al Qa'ida or An Associated Force." It calls lawless killing without trial or evidence legal. Vague language substitutes for clear evidence and ...

How Law Enforcement and Media Covered Up the Plan to Burn Christopher Dorner Alive By Max Blumentha February 14, 2013 "Information Clearing House" - At approximately 7 PM ET, I listened through a police scanner as San Bernardino Sheriffs gave the order to burn down the cabin where suspected murderer Christopher Dorner was allegedly hiding. Deputies were maneuvering a remote controlled demolition vehicle to the base of the cabin, using it to tear down the walls of the cabin where Dorner was hiding, and peering inside. In an initial dispatch, a deputy reported seeing “blood spatter” inside the cabins. Dorner, who had just engaged in a firefight with deputies that killed ...

LAPD High Crimes

LAPD High Crimes by Stephen Lendman Michael Ruppert is a former LAPD cop. He knows its dark side well. He witnessed it firsthand.   Its rap sheet includes corruption, abuse of power, complicity with CIA drugs trafficking, unjustified arrests, beatings, murder, perjury, witness tampering, evidence planting, frame-ups, coverups, racism, sadism, and other crimes. It wants its dirty secrets kept hidden. They're ugly and longstanding. Many examples bear witness. In March 2000, news reports revealed LAPD Rampart Division Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums (CRASH) unit criminality. It included unjustified arrests, beatings, drug dealing, witness intimidation, murder, ...

The Disenfranchisement of Rural America by James Huffman (member of the Property Rights, Freedom, and Prosperity Task Force) Anyone who pays even passing attention to American politics is familiar with the map (Figure 1) of the United States showing states in which a majority of voters favored President Obama (colored blue) and those where Romney garnered the most votes (in red). This map conveys three dominant messages: first, that states can be meaningfully described as either red or blue; second, that the West Coast, the upper Midwest, and the Northeast are solidly blue, and the rest of the country is mostly red; and third, that, geographically speaking, more of the country is red than ...

Counties and Cities Now Nullifying Gun Control
Post Date: 2013-02-14 07:20:07 by Ada

As state lawmakers all across America craft nullification legislation to defy unconstitutional federal gun-control schemes and sheriffs openly vow to protect the Second Amendment regardless of what Obama or Congress say, municipal and county governments are getting involved in the action, too. In fact, in recent weeks, several local governments have unanimously approved ordinances and resolutions nullifying any and all lawless restrictions on gun rights. At least two counties so far, one in North Carolina and another in Indiana, recently adopted ordinances nullifying every infringement on the unalienable human right to keep and bear arms. Municipal governments are jumping on the bandwagon ...

Obama's Failed State

Obama's Failed State by Stephen Lendman Obama's State of the Union address didn't surprise. It reflected rogue leadership. It was beginning-to- end demagogic boilerplate. Defending the indefensible took center stage. Rhetoric substituted for progressive policies. Bombast assured business as usual. Priorities include waging war on humanity, force-fed austerity, ignoring public needs, institutionalizing a repressive police state apparatus, and cracking down hard on non-believers. Doing so assures growing despotism, lawlessness, poverty, unemployment, homelessness, hunger, and deprivation. Obama's address targeted Medicare. He called "medical care for the ...

America's Deplorable State of the Union

America's Deplorable State of the Union by Stephen Lendman Obama's annual State of the Union addresses reflect beginning-to-end doublespeak duplicity. Empty rhetoric signals business as usual. Policy prioritizes corporate empowerment, rewarding rich elites, letting popular needs go begging, funding America's war machine, and cracking down hard on non-believers. Obama does what his supporters thought impossible. He governs to the right of George Bush. He's beholden to powerful monied interests. They own him. He's their man in Washington. Whatever they want they get. He mocks rule of law principles. He deplores democratic values. He prioritizes wrong over right. ...

Gold Sellers in Houston Must Submit to Fingerprints and Mugshots

Last week the Houston City Council passed an ordinance requiring people who sell precious metals to be fingerprinted and photographed. According to KTRK-TV, the ordinance is “meant to help track down criminals who try to resell stolen valuables. Gold-buying businesses will now be required to photograph and fingerprint sellers as well as photograph the items that are being sold to the dealer.” In other words, citizens who sell gold will be considered criminals until they demonstrate otherwise. “It’s going to allow us the tools necessary to combat a lot of the high-end jewelry thefts that’s going on in the city, whether it’s robberies or burglaries,” ...

The NDAA and the Death of the Democratic State

On Wednesday a few hundred activists crowded into the courtroom of the Second Circuit, the spillover room with its faulty audio feed and dearth of chairs, and Foley Square outside the Thurgood Marshall U.S. Courthouse in Manhattan where many huddled in the cold. The fate of the nation, we understood, could be decided by the three judges who will rule on our lawsuit against President Barack Obama for signing into law Section 1021(b)(2) of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The section permits the military to detain anyone, including U.S. citizens, who “substantially support”—an undefined legal term—al-Qaida, the Taliban or “associated forces,” ...

Impeach Obama: A National Imperative by Stephen Lendman Do it now before it's too late! America's Declaration of Independence states: "(W)hen a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, (it's the right of the people, it's) their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." Straightaway as president, Obama violated his sacred trust. He betrayed his constituents. He's a serial liar. He broke every major promise made. He serves illegitimately. He institutionalized tyranny. He's a war criminal multiple times over. He's ...

Mosquito-Fighting Plan Allows Access To Private Property With No Warrant [TEXAS]

PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) – With West Nile season approaching soon, there’s a controversial bill in the state legislature that would give the government more power to kill mosquitoes. Texas State Senate Bill 186 would allow authorities to legally trespass on private property without a warrant to treat stagnant water if it “…is reasonably presumed to be abandoned or that is uninhabited.” State Senator John Carona introduced the bill telling CBS 11, “This is an important health and safety issue.” Plano health officials believe it will help efforts to combat the West Nile Virus because it will allow for the immediate treatment of problem areas. Plano resident ...

DHS Watchdog OKs ‘Suspicionless’ Seizure of Electronic Devices Along Border

The Department of Homeland Security’s civil rights watchdog has concluded that travelers along the nation’s borders may have their electronics seized and the contents of those devices examined for any reason whatsoever — all in the name of national security. The DHS, which secures the nation’s border, in 2009 announced that it would conduct a “Civil Liberties Impact Assessment” of its suspicionless search-and-seizure policy pertaining to electronic devices “within 120 days.” More than three years later, the DHS office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties published a two-page executive summary of its findings. “We also conclude that imposing a ...
