I'm trying to Compile an all-inclusive Listing of ALL of our U.S. Presidents that had or have PARENTS that are not or were not U.S. Citizens by ANY definition of the Term "U.S. Citizen". I'm not a very good Historian so I immediately thought I would start the list with George Washington. But I checked and found his parents were both born in or around Virgina, of U.S. Natives, second generation. So Please contribute if you know of others. I'll throw out This One for Starters: Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro - Father= Kenyan

Fascism for Dummies

Here at TDV fascism is frequently referred to as the increasingly prevalent form of government in the West. We recognize that this conjures strong emotions and we often get a few angry emails voicing displeasure with our characterization of their homeland. We understand that the word fascism is an emotionally charged word and we do not use it lightly. We recognize, however, that we have never taken the time to define it completely nor place it within the context of our communications (although Jeff did compare the USA to the dictionary definition of "fascism" in "The Fasco-Communist Police State of America"). As such, we have fallen victim to one of our own cardinal ...

House cybersecurity bill would establish federal overseer

Members of the House Homeland Security Committee introduced a cybersecurity bill on Thursday that would establish a quasi-governmental entity to oversee information-sharing with the private sector. Like the other cybersecurity bills offered by the House GOP, the Promoting and Enhancing Cybersecurity and Information Sharing Effectiveness (PrECISE Act) encourages private firms to share information on cyber threats but stops short of mandating new security standards for sectors deemed critical to national security. “The risk of cyberattack by enemies of the United States is real, is ongoing and is growing," said Chairman Pete King (R-N.Y.). "The PrECISE Act, in line with the ...

Political Washington Abolishes Due Process Protections

Political Washington Abolishes Due Process Protections - by Stephen Lendman Main Street Europe and America face protracted Depression conditions. As a result, millions lost jobs, homes, incomes, and futures. Human misery is growing. So is public anger. Rage across America and Europe reflect it. Gerald Celente explains the stakes, saying: "When people lose everything and have nothing else to lose, they lose it." Draconian police state provisions were enacted to contain them. Hundreds of secret Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) camps may hold them. Martial law may authorize it, claiming "catastrophic emergency" conditions. Senators blew their cover calling ...

It's Up to the Public to Vindicate Bill of Rights Day
Post Date: 2011-12-16 06:16:02 by Ada

Today is Bill of Rights Day, the 220-year anniversary of this revered document's addition to the U.S. Constitution in 1791. The Anti-Federalists had demanded a Bill of Rights to ensure that the federal government created in 1789 would not morph into the type of tyranny that the American colonists had resisted in the Revolution. It might seem like a difficult day to celebrate, however, as we consider the current state of liberties in our nation. With the militarization of police, the erosion of requirements for search and seizure, the presidential powers used as a blanket for deplorable detention policies, the raging war on drugs, invasive TSA "security" procedures and so ...

Obama Approves Draconian Police State Law

Obama Approves Draconian Police State Law - by Stephen Lendman Obama supports draconian FY 2012 National Defense Authorization Act provisions. Justification given is national security and war on terror hokum. Henceforth, anyone anywhere, including US citizens, may be indefinitely held without charge or trial, based solely on suspicions, spurious allegations or none at all. No reasonable proof is needed, just suspicions that those detained pose threats. Henceforth, indefinite detentions can follow mere membership (past or present) or support for suspect organizations. Presidents now have unchecked dictatorial powers to arrest, interrogate and indefinitely detain law- abiding citizens if ...

'It’s a historical sign': 'White Only' pool owner tries to defend sign that defies civil rights commission by claiming it was antique

The Ohio landlord who put a sign saying ‘Public Swimming Pool, White Only’ claims that the 1931 sign from Alabama decorating the entrance to a public pool is an antique and nothing more. ‘I don’t have any problem with race at all,’ landlord Jamie Hein, 31, told ABC News. 'It’s a historical sign.' Ms Hein, who is white, said she’s an avid collector of antiques and was given the historical sign as a gift. She added that though the sign states the pool is public, the pool is on private property and ‘everybody has to ask before getting in my pool.’ Michael Gunn, 40, originally filed a complaint against Ms Hein. He said his ...

WH OKs military detention of terrorism suspects

The White House is signing off on a controversial new law that would authorize the U.S. military to arrest and indefinitely detain alleged al Qaeda members or other terrorist operatives captured on American soil. As the bill neared final passage in the House of Representatives and the Senate on Wednesday, the Obama administration announced it would support passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which contains slightly watered-down provisions giving the military a front line role in domestic terrorism cases. The administration abandoned its long-held veto threat due to changes in the final version of the bill, namely that in its view, the military custody mandate has ...

Meet the North Dakota family of anti-government separatists busted by cops using a Predator drone... after 'stealing six cows'

Meet the Brossarts, a North Dakota family deemed so dangerous that the local sheriff needed unleashed an unmanned Predator drone to help bring them in.  The Brossart's alleged crime? They wouldn't give back three cows and their calves that wandered onto their 3,000-acre farm this summer. The same aerial vehicles used by the CIA to track down and assassinate terrorists and militants in Pakistan and Afghanistan are now being deployed by cops to spy on Americans in their own backyards. The head of the anti-government Brossart family are Susan and husband Rodney, who live with seven of their eight adult children in a compound which includes a house, trailer and two RVs Daughter ...

House and Obama OK Forever-Prison Bill

Law will allow indefinite detentions without charge or trial, even for American citizens The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed the current defense authorization bill, which includes a provision that would codify a system of military prisons to indefinitely detain terrorism suspects without charge or trial, including American citizens caught on U.S. soil. The bill passed 283-136 in the House and a committee version of the bill passed in the Senate 93-7 last week. The Senate is expected to make a final vote on Thursday and send it to the White House to sign into law by the end of the week. The Obama administration is supportive of the bill, despite threatening to veto it on the ...

Europe in Disarray

Europe in Disarray - by Stephen Lendman Europe's underpinnings can only hold so long. Years of entrapment under euro straightjacket rules means eventual dissolution and collapse. Throwing more money at out-of-control debt problems buys delay only. Instead of swallowing painful solutions, EU leaders keep repeating the same mistakes, heading dire conditions to catastrophic ones. In fact, reactions to last week's summit were decidedly negative. On December 14, the Financial Times (FT) headlined, "Doubts about eurozone fiscal deal grow," saying: The euro selloff against the dollar "showed the strain of efforts to force through austerity policies and impose tough new ...

Illegal FBI Spying on Community Groups - by Stephen Lendman On December 1, an ACLU of Northern California press release headlined, "FOIA Documents Show FBI Illegally Collecting Intelligence Under Guise of Community Outreach," saying: "The trust that community outreach efforts aim to create is undermined when the FBI exploits these programs to gather intelligence on the very members of the religious and community organizations agents are meeting with." "The FBI should be honest with community organizations about what information is being collected during meetings and purge any improperly collected information." Instead, FBI agents illegally collected names, ...

Rise Of The Beast System: 11 Ways That Amerika Is Becoming More Like North Korea

Should we just get it over with and change the spelling of America to "Amerika"? Every single day, the United States of America is becoming more like North Korea. In North Korea, the citizens are told that everything that they do needs to be monitored, tracked, recorded and very tightly controlled so that everyone can be kept safe. No dissent is allowed at all. If government officials in North Korea even suspect that you are thinking the wrong thing, your entire extended family can be shipped off to a prison camp. And you know what? North Korea is a pretty safe place. There is not much terrorism in North Korea. But why in the world would anyone ever want to live like that? America ...

Suspend habeas corpus and enact martial law?

Americans seem ready to forfeit their most basic civil liberty -- actually, all their civil liberties -- without a whimper. By a vote of 93-7 the Senate this month approved a military appropriations bill empowering the government to designate any U.S. citizen within the country as a terrorist and to have the military hold him indefinitely without trial and without the right to habeas corpus, the right to be brought before a court for a judgment on the legality of one's imprisonment. In effect the legislation is a declaration of martial law throughout the country. The bill still has to be reconciled by a conference committee with a different version passed by the House of ...

Legislating Tyranny in America

Legislating Tyranny in America - by Stephen Lendman Obama won't prosecute CIA torturers, Wall Street crooks, other corporate criminals, lawless war profiteers, or other venal high-level civilian or government officials. Instead, expect him to sign into law (or at least tacitly approve) indefinite military detentions of US citizens allegedly associated with terrorist groups, with or without corroborating evidence. Post-9/11, US freedoms and other democratic values dramatically eroded. Enactment of police state provisions in the FY 2012 National Defense Authorization Act comes closer to ending them entirely. On December 5, the ACLU headlined, "Indefinite Detention, Endless ...

Me and My Shadow: the Fictional STRAWMAN The elected and appointed administrators of government United States government have been filing certified copies of all our birth certificates in the United States Department of Commerce as registered securities. These securities, each of which carries an estimated $1,000,000 value, have been (and still are) circulated around the world as collateral for loans, entries on the asset side of ledgers, etc., just like any other security. There's just one problem—we didn't consciously authorize it. Now that you know, you can choose to let them use you for collateral and pay interest on the debt or you can take back your power and ...

(This installment was written during the 2.5 weeks Mr. Steele was in solitary confinement, maximum security lock-down. Our best information was that he was being allowed one 15-minute phone call per month. Two days ago, authorities have moved him into the general prison population. His current location is as follows: Edgar James Steele - #14226-023, FDC Seatac, Federal Detention Center, P.O. Box 13900, Seattle, WA 98198). If I’m Not a Political Prisoner, Judge, Who Is? by Edgar J. Steele December 10, 2011 “There is an attempt by some to call Mr. Steele’s case a politically-motivated prosecution. That is not true.” Thus spoke the judge at my recent sentencing ...

Muslim Charity Principles Denied Justice

Muslim Charity Principals Denied Justice - by Stephen Lendman On January 25, 1995, Bill Clinton issued Executive Order 12947 - Prohibiting Transactions With Terrorists Who Threaten To Disrupt the Middle East Peace Process. The same year, Hamas was declared a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). It's still one today, so any individual or group charged with providing it material support (true or false) is prosecuted unjustly. On December 4, 2001, the Treasury Department declared the Holy Land Foundation a terrorist group, froze its assets, and falsely claimed it was used to funnel millions of dollars to Hamas. Truth and justice are endangered in America. During Bush's eight ...

From Occupation to “Occupy”: The Israelification of American Domestic Security

The Israelification of America’s security apparatus, recently unleashed in full force against the Occupy Wall Street Movement, has taken place at every level of law enforcement, and in areas that have yet to be exposed.   by Max Blumenthal  December 05, 2011 — al-akhbar –  New York – In October, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department turned parts of the campus of the University of California in Berkeley into an urban battlefield. The occasion was Urban Shield 2011, an annual SWAT team exposition organized to promote “mutual response,” collaboration and competition between heavily militarized police strike forces representing law ...

Government Assets

Recently there's been a deal of talk about "sovereign default", ie the possibility that whole governments might go belly-up. That would be (alas) only in the sense of deciding not to pay their financial obligations. Something that's not supposed to happen, because every time you and I go to visit our money we are reassured by that pretty sticker on the teller's window, about how bank accounts are well insured. All backed by the "full faith and credit" of the FedGov. Ha! So what are the assets of any government? A real entity such as a company of people who agreed to pool resources and engage in peaceful enterprise has both assets and liabilities. It ...
