Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., referring to his race and the Constitution on John Stossel's recent show "The State Against Blacks," said, "I wasn't even considered three-fifths of a guy." The Rev. Al Sharpton, debating on Sean Hannity's show, said, "Any black, at any age at any stage, was three-fifths of a human." Even eminent historian John Hope Franklin charged the Founders with "degrading the human spirit by equating five black men with three white men." Statements such as those either represent ignorance or are part of the leftist agenda to demean the founding principles of our nation by portraying the nation's Founders as ...
FBI Entraps Two More Muslims Post Date: 2011-06-28 04:44:03 by Stephen Lendman

FBI Entraps Two More Muslims - by Stephen Lendman By now, the familiar storyline sounds more like a film plot than criminal indictment, especially when Muslims are involved, and the most recent case repeats the same scenario used last December. Then it involved Antonio Martinez, aka Muhammad Hussain, accused of plotting to attack an armed forces recruiting center. An undercover FBI agent lawlessly entrapped him, supplying an inert bomb, then stopping him after he allegedly tried to detonate it by remote control. A previous article discussed him, accessed through the following link: http://sjlendman.blogspot.com/2010/12/fbi-sting-entraps-another-victim.html In fact, like dozens of ...

It’s Time to Inspect D.C.’s Hack Inspectors Post Date: 2011-06-27 12:23:29 by freepatriot32

Yesterday, Jim Epstein of Reason TV and I were arrested at a public meeting of the D.C. Taxicab Commission (DCTC). The meeting was held at the U.S. Park Police headquarters. Somehow, Park Police officers got roped into becoming the DCTCs armed security and both Epstein and I have been charged by the Park Police with Unlawful Entry/Remaining and Disorderly Conduct. Our crime? Taking pictures or video. Less than an hour into the public meeting, a hack (taxi) inspector with K. Bears #1783; written on his shirt told me I couldnt take pictures. He stood in my way to ensure that I didnt photograph the DCTC commissioners ...

Californias restrictions on the sale of violent video games to minors violate the 1st Amendment, the Supreme Court says in a 7-2 ruling. Five justices rule that under no circumstances can the government be allowed to protect children by limiting violence in the media. WASHINGTON The Supreme Court on Monday struck down a California law that limited the sale of violent video games to minors, ruling the restriction violated the free-speech principles in the 1st Amendment. "Like books, plays and movies, video games communicate ideas," said Justice Antonin Scalia. "The most basic principle of 1st Amendment law is that government has no power to restrict expression ...
Louisiana Supreme Court Allows Vehicle Searches on a Hunch Post Date: 2011-06-27 12:10:09 by freepatriot32

Talking on a cell phone, and entering and exiting another car is sufficient justification for a warrantless search in Louisiana. The Louisiana Supreme Court on Friday gave a green light to police officers looking to search automobiles without a warrant. The court ruled on an interim appeal in the ongoing trial of Derrick R. Kirton, 30, and Crystal N. Strate, 27, who were charged on February 23 with distribution and possession of heroin, respectively. A judge in the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court had ruled that the police search of Kirton's vehicle was unlawful because it was not based on probable cause. The prosecution appealed. Louisiana law allows for rulings on individual ...

TSA Set To Take Legal Action Against Texas Groping Ban Post Date: 2011-06-24 10:29:40 by HAPPY2BME-4UM

TSA Set To Take Legal Action Against Texas Groping Ban With a bill that would ban invasive TSA pat downs in Texas set to be heard by the state legislature on Friday, the federal agency has indicated that it will take legal action to prevent the law being implemented, indicating that the government could once again resort to threatening Texas with a blockade that would impose a de facto no fly zone over the state. The House version of SB 29, a bill that would punish any TSA agent who touches the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of the other person, including touching through clothing, with a year in jail or a $4,000 fine, was initially shot down last month ...

KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) With its jagged peaks, glistening lakes and lush valleys, the Inland Northwest stretching from eastern Washington to Montana's Glacier National Park is a stunningly beautiful and remote part of the country. It also is a cradle for sometimes-violent anti-government activity a reputation most recently rekindled by the search for David Burgert. The former Kalispell militia leader is accused of opening fire on sheriff's deputies on a remote logging road in Lolo National Forest. After a lull following the demise of the Idaho-based neo-Nazi Aryan Nations in 2000, anti-government and white supremacist groups and individuals may be ...

America's Barbaric Death Penalty - by Stephen Lendman Numerous organizations oppose capital punishment, including the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty (WCADP), an alliance of about 60 NGOs, bar associations, local bodies and unions, founded in May 2002. In 2003, it established October 10 as the World Day Against the Death Penalty. On October 10, 2011, the 9th World Day seeks to raise awareness of the inhumanity of capital punishment from sentencing to execution. In fact, death row inmates endure horrific emotional and physical suffering under appalling conditions with little regard for their well-being. Last year, the 8th World Day was "dedicated to the USA which ...

Bahrain Sues to Suppress Police State Terror Truths - by Stephen Lendman On June 14, London Independent writer Robert Fisk headlined, "I saw these brave doctors trying to save lives - these charges are a pack of lies," saying: The Khalifa monarchy "started an utterly fraudulent trial of 48 surgeons, doctors, paramedics and nurses, accusing them of trying to topple the tin-pot monarchy of this Sunni minority emirate." One of many Bahrain articles addressed this topic, accessed through the following link: http://sjlendman.blogspot.com/2011/06/torturing-bahraini-doctors.html Fisk said he witnessed medical heroism firsthand, "drenched in their patients' blood, ...

Supreme Court backs off alarmist climate science The Supreme Court stepped back from alarmist climate science in todays decision in AEP v. Connecticut. In the Courts 2007 Justice Stevens-authored decision in Massachusetts v. EPA, a majority of the Court was fully in the alarmist camp. As an example, the Court held: The harms associated with climate change are serious and well recognized. The Governments own objective assessment of the relevant science and a strong consensus among qualified experts indicate that global warming threatens, inter alia, a precipitate rise in sea levels, severe and irreversible changes to natural ecosystems, a significant reduction in winter ...

America Under A Permanent State Of National Emergency Since 1933 By Joel Taylor, Pastor-Teacher The following is a must read excerpt by Greg Loren Durand from his book Americas Caesar: The Decline And Fall Of The Republican Government In The United States Of America. If you, like many recently, are concerned about the possibility of living under a state of emergency, or martial law being declared in America, then perhaps its time to grab your favorite snack (healthy, of course) and sit down for a little history lesson. Dont worry about martial law being declared anytime soon. The fact is, Americans have been living under ...

Nasty Nancy Nation Post Date: 2011-06-17 06:52:29 by Ada

Because we dont have cable or satellite television in our home, I rarely watch the cable "news" shows that feature confrontational "debate," as people scream unfounded accusations at each other, all in the name of discussing "issues." Thus, we are deprived each night of watching Nancy Grace "seek justice," and that alone makes missing The History Channel and Mythbusters worth the self-denial. These days, Nancy Grace, the former prosecutor turned television host, is a popular person. Fox Business News apparently wanted to "balance" the liberty-minded shows by Judge Andrew Napolitano and John Stossel with a show in which anyone accused ...

Working America's Dismal State - by Stephen Lendman Two recent studies documented it, both discussed below. In May 2011, Northeastern University's Center for Labor Market Studies (NECLMS) headlined, "The 'Jobless and Wageless' Recovery from the Great Recession of 2007 - 2009: The Magnitude and Sources of Economic Growth Through 2011 (Q I) and Their Impacts on Workers, Profits, and Stock Values." From 2007 - 2009, private sector wages and salaries declined sharply, while unemployment, underemployment, and their median and mean durations skyrocketed. According to the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER: the official US business cycle arbiter), the recession ...

CHARLOTTE, NC- We've all seen cute kids lip-syncing their favorite songs on YouTube. A new bill could make that illegal. "I don't think you should go after little 8 year olds that are crying and singing Justin Bieber because it's their favorite person in the world," said YouTube Lip-syncer Cubby Squires. U.S. Senate bill 978 would toughen copyright laws and make it illegal to upload lip-synced videos. Squires uploaded a video lip-syncing and dancing to Beyonces Single Ladies to YouTube two years ago. 51 million views later and an appearance on stage with Beyonce
and he's got cyber success. "I understand the record companies want ...

Bush admin. asked CIA to discredit a liberal blogger: report President George W. Bush's White House ordered the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to find information to "discredit" a liberal University of Michigan professor who was critical of the Iraq war, according to a recent report. Former CIA officer Glenn Carle told The New York Times' James Risen that while he was working as a counterterrorism expert for the agency in 2005, the Bush White House asked intelligence officials to uncover sensitive information about Professor Juan Cole on at least two occasions. Cole, an expert on the Middle East, writes a popular blog where he has often used Arabic news sources to ...

I just had a conversation with constitutional lawyer and monetary expert Dr. Edwin Vieira. I first became acquainted with Dr. Vieira, who holds four degrees from Harvard and has extensive experience arguing cases before the Supreme Court, at our recent Casey Research Summit in Boca Raton, where he spoke on how far off the constitutional rails the nation has traveled. Here is a summary of what he told me
Dr. Vieira and I covered a lot of ground in our lengthy conversation, most of it related to the U.S. monetary system its history, nature, and likely fate. But in between the details and analysis of how it is that the nations fiscal and monetary affairs have deteriorated ...
