THE DEATH OF THE "DOLLAR

As the utterly fraudulent computer entry that financial commentators call the “dollar” disappears down the drain, some observers marvel that the Fed and Communist world government traitor Jorge W. Boosh could have been so “stupid.” Your average mechanic, bus driver and manicurist know perfectly well that you can’t keep spending more than you have, however big you are – that if you insist on doing so, eventually you will collapse – so how come Boosh and the others do not? How could the Fed and the President be that dumb? Couldn’t they see where those unbelievable deficits year on year were going? The “almighty” dollar is gone. As I write, ...

Anti-Clinton Movie Ads Must Comply With Campaign Finance Law, Supreme Court Says

WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal from a conservative group that wants to promote its anti-Hillary Clinton movie without complying with campaign finance laws. The court's decision today leaves in place a lower court ruling that says the group, Citizens United, must attach a disclaimer and disclose its donors in order to run the ads. The group says the issue will be important whether or not Clinton wins the Democratic presidential nomination. It plans a movie critical of Sen. Barack Obama if he should be the nominee.

Spitzer Miami tryst alleged A GOP strategist said he alerted the FBI months ago that New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer hired prostitutes. By AMY DRISCOLL adriscoll@MiamiHerald.com Almost four months before Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigned in a sex scandal, a lawyer for Republican political operative Roger Stone sent a letter to the FBI alleging that Spitzer ''used the services of high-priced call girls'' while in Florida. The letter, dated Nov. 19, said Miami Beach resident Stone learned the information from ''a social contact in an adult-themed club.'' It offered one potentially identifying detail: The man in question hadn't taken off his calf-length black ...

Child's Dying Wish Going Unfulfilled

For very sick little girls, sometimes a father can be the best medicine there is. But the heartbroken family of a 10-year-old Nebraska girl diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, who is not expected to live through the end of the month, say the Federal Bureau of Prisons has denied the child's dying wish: that her incarcerated father be furloughed to be by his child's bedside when she dies. Jason Charles Yaeger is serving the final year of a five-year sentence for a drug conviction in a minimum security prison camp in South Dakota, three and a half hours from his daughter, Jayci. He has pleaded repeatedly with prison officials to honor the bureau's apparent policy of allowing ...

WASHINGTON - Homeland security officials on Friday hinted at a possible face-saving deal to end their standoff with a handful of states over new driver's license rules — a dispute that, left unresolved, could cause big air travel headaches. For weeks, the Homeland Security Department has been headed toward a showdown with some states over a law called Real ID, which would require new security measures for state-issued driver's licenses. Yet a late Good Friday letter from a top DHS official suggested Washington may be backing away from a messy fight. South Carolina, Maine and Montana are the only states that have not sought extensions to comply, or already started toward ...

This is perhaps one of the most kooky and creepy Security State tactics that I have come across: the EMD safety bracelet, which is being billed as the "last line of defence." A company called Lamperd Firearm Training Systems (scroll down) is trying to commercialize this item as an "airline security product." The company's video that hawks this device talks about the current facial recognition system called biometrics, where cameras capture photos of people and compare those images to the images of "terrorists" in its "terrorist" database. No matter how sophisticated this technology, it can all too often allow a terrorist on board a plane, and, this technology can also have the effect of ...

(03-20) 13:58 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) -- A federal judge says the National Park Service mishandled President Bush's 2005 inaugural parade by excluding an anti-war group from major portions of the route. U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman says in his ruling Thursday that the ANSWER Coalition's First Amendment rights were violated and that the inauguration "is not a private event." Vast portions of Pennsylvania Avenue had been reserved for ticketed guests approved by the Presidential Inaugural Committee. The judge writes that the Park Service, working on the committee's behalf, cannot reserve all of Pennsylvania Avenue for itself when issuing permits. Park Service ...

FBI Posts Fake Hyperlinks To Snare Child Porn Suspects
Post Date: 2008-03-20 14:42:43 by Brian S

The FBI has recently adopted a novel investigative technique: posting hyperlinks that purport to be illegal videos of minors having sex, and then raiding the homes of anyone willing to click on them. Undercover FBI agents used this hyperlink-enticement technique, which directed Internet users to a clandestine government server, to stage armed raids of homes in Pennsylvania, New York, and Nevada last year. The supposed video files actually were gibberish and contained no illegal images. A CNET News.com review of legal documents shows that courts have approved of this technique, even though it raises questions about entrapment, the problems of identifying who's using an open ...

WASHINGTON — Canadian terror suspect Omar Khadr says he was terribly abused by U.S. interrogators who dropped him, repeatedly pushed his masked face into a wall until he passed out and threatened him with rape. In an affidavit released today, Khadr outlines in detail what happened after he was captured during a firefight in Afghanistan on July 27, 2002. The firefight ended with American soldiers shooting him twice in the back. Unconscious for a week afterward, Khadr says the interrogations began while he was still on a stretcher and that he cried because of the pain inflicted during questioning. Many of the specifics of the measures used by U.S. soldiers were blacked out by the ...

Posted on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 WASHINGTON — In a fresh document from the Guantánamo war court files, Canadian captive Omar Khadr alleges that he was repeatedly threatened with rape as an interrogation technique in Afghanistan and at U.S. Navy base in Cuba. Much of the partially censored nine-page affidavit, signed by Khadr on Feb. 22, covers old ground already investigated, including allegations of abuse at Guantánamo that emerged in 2005, prompting a Navy criminal investigation. But the document includes never-before revealed allegations, such as the rape threats and a partially censored description of regaining consciousness after his capture to discover he was ...

18/03/08 "Antifascist Calling" -- -- The Washington Post revealed Friday that the FBI is continuing its systematic violation of Americans' Fourth Amendment guarantees against "unreasonable searches and seizures." A Justice Department report concluded that the Bureau had repeatedly abused its intelligence gathering "privileges" by issuing bogus "national security letters" (NSLs) from 2003-2006. On at least one occasion, the FBI relied on an illegally-issued NSL to circumvent a ruling by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to obtain records the secret court deemed protected by the First Amendment. While the Bush regime claims that the ...

When the Power to Rebel is Ignored

The Supreme Court is "reviewing" our Bill of Rights. The elite are discussing among themselves exactly how the 10 sacred amendments should be pared down to nine, or fewer. How should we respond? With words that clearly articulate our concern and our own personal views, of course. The Declaration of Independence outlines a long list of pleas and warnings that were issued, politely at first, before the colonists became rebels. Since the first "black codes" of 1865 that restricted black American firearm ownership, the government and an increasing number of America's citizens have begun to ignore the meaning of the second amendment. Beginning with the Uniform Firearms ...

Justices agree on right to own guns [Supremes say '2A means what it says'] [Full Thread]

WASHINGTON - Americans have a right to own guns, Supreme Court justices declared Tuesday in a historic and lively debate that could lead to the most significant interpretation of the Second Amendment since its ratification two centuries ago. Governments have a right to regulate those firearms, a majority of justices seemed to agree. But there was less apparent agreement on the case they were arguing: whether Washington's ban on handguns goes too far. The justices dug deeply into arguments on one of the Constitution's most hotly debated provisions as demonstrators shouted slogans outside. Guns are an American right, argued one side. "Guns kill," responded the other. ...

Time magazine invents facts to claim that Americans support Bush's domestic spying abuses

No matter how corrupt and sloppy the establishment press becomes, they always find a way to go lower. Time Magazine has just published what it purports to be a news article by Massimo Calabresi claiming that "nobody cares" about the countless abuses of spying powers by the Bush administration; that "Americans are ready to trade diminished privacy, and protection from search and seizure, in exchange for the promise of increased protection of their physical security"; and that the case against unchecked government surveillance powers "hasn't convinced the people." Not a single fact -- not one -- is cited to support these sweeping, false opinions. Worse still ...

Odds are next U.S. president will be left-handed Southpaws: Guess who thinks quicker and earns more? Mar 02, 2008 04:30 AM ANDREW CHUNG STAFF REPORTER If Barack Obama, the wildly popular Illinois senator, pulls off the Democratic Party nomination, as it increasingly seems like he might, the United States will be guaranteed to have yet another left-handed president. That's because he'll be running up against John McCain, who has been all but crowned the Republican nominee, and is also left-handed. Ford, Reagan, H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, McCain, Obama. What's the weird connection? Not that such a feat would be coming out of left field. Four of the last six presidents have ...

(03-17) 15:40 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Supreme Court gets to write on a blank slate when it takes up the meaning of the Second Amendment "right to keep and bear arms" and the District of Columbia's ban on handguns. The nine justices have said almost nothing about gun rights, and their predecessors have likewise given no definitive answer to whether the Constitution protects an individual's right to own guns or whether that right is somehow tied to service in a state militia. The case that will be argued Tuesday is among the most closely watched of the term, drawing 68 briefs from outside groups. Most of those support an individual's right to own a gun. ...
