Sherry, like Joseph Banister, former Criminal Investigator (CID) for the IRS, spent a couple of years investigating the Internal Revenue Code and came to the conclusion that the IRS was deliberately ...

Judge Orders FBI to Release NSL Abuse Records New Evidence of Misuse Prompts Immediate Response in EFF FOIA Lawsuit Washington, D.C. - A judge ordered the FBI today to finally release agency records about its abuse of National Security Letters (NSLs) to collect Americans' personal information. The ruling came just a day after the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) urged the judge to immediately respond in its lawsuit over agency delays. EFF sued the FBI in April for failing to respond to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request about the misuse of NSLs as revealed in a Justice Department report. This week, more evidence of abuse was uncovered by the Washington Post, and EFF ...

I was watching "Gandhi" recently, as I do every year or two. It is inspirational to me. It tells the story of a man who could not possibly win the battles he chose to fight, but did anyway. There is no doubt that it is a propaganda film, funded in part by the Indian government. It scrambles his chronology. But, on the whole, it got the story right. Mohandas K. Gandhi, a lawyer, was able to transform Indian politics. He did this through force of moral character and shrewd tactics that made every official response either "Damned if we do; damned if we don't." I read "The Gandhi Nobody Knows" when it was published in 1983, a year before the movie was ...

TSA detains woman over infant's sippy cup -- I feel safer! Jordan says: "This [story published in NowPublic] just made my blood boil: a mom was bullied by a gaggle of security officers at Dulles National (Reagan) Aiport over the water in her 19-month-old son's sippy cup. The story starts out sort of funny, with the sippy cup being seen as some sort of deadly weapon, but quickly spirals into nightmare territory. This is a national embarassment; I feel more threatened by these uniformed goons than I do by terrorists, and I lived in NYC during 9/11." "I demanded to speak to a TSA [Transportation Security Administration] supervisor who asked me if the water in the ...

Terrorizing Artists in the USA Strange Culture By MICHAEL SIMMONS "This film is dedicated to Hope. Thus reads the opening epigraph in Lynn Hershman Leesons film Strange Culture that opens the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival this Friday, June 15th in New York. Its a lovely sentiment for our era of unremitting pessimism. When one realizes that Hope is not only the belief that events can turn out for the best, but a 45-year old woman who died prematurely of natural causes in her sleep , chills travel up and down ones spine. The film chronicles Steve Kurtz, an art professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo and a member of the art ...
Judicial Review v. Constitutional Government Post Date: 2007-06-15 06:10:54 by Ada

One overlooked effect of judicial review the power of American judges to declare laws unconstitutional is that it gives judges power to adopt amendments the people, through their representatives, have rejected. "Constitutional law," the body of decisions of American judges implementing the Constitution, not only does not reflect the peoples wishes in adopting constitutional language, but often flatly contradicts it. The first, and perhaps most significant, instance of the courts use of judicial review as an amendment power came in 1819, with the Supreme Courts decision in the case of McCulloch v. Maryland. That case concerned the constitutionality ...
Drug tax collectors to make the rounds at Bonnaroo Post Date: 2007-06-15 01:46:00 by freepatriot32

Among the hippies, rockers, free spirits and other Bonnaroo revelers partying in Manchester today will be a less likely festival figure: the taxman. In an example of Tennessee's controversial drug tax in action, state revenue agents plan to collect fees on the illegal substances that some concertgoers bring for personal use and sale. It's not an effort to curb drug use - for some, a Bonnaroo tradition that has sent tens to the hospital and a few to the morgue - but to make sure state and local authorities recoup drug enforcement costs. For an ounce and a half of marijuana, just above the limit for a misdemeanor drug charge, the tax amounts to about $165, said Al Laney, director ...

Supreme Court Overturns Constitution http://lr.com | 14 Jun 2007 | by Max Raskin WASHINGTON In a surprise decision bound to become a landmark case of the 21st century, the Supreme Court today ruled, eight-to-one, against the Constitution. In Bush v. Constitution, the issue before the court was, "whether the Constitutions antiquated espousal of liberty and checks and balances should definitively establish the powers of federal government." The case was brought up after President Bush filed an injunction against the document because of what he called, "the dangerous undermining of the War on Terror by the Bill of Rights." Attorney ...

Social Security Enabling Act of 1935 Some time ago, I posted a breakdown that covered why people pay the income tax. Please permit me to explain why there was no rebuttal; I was correct. The following is the basic part of the info; The Social Security Act of 1935 (See Section 8; Income Tax) http://www.nationalcenter.org/SocialSecurityAct.html (Please note that the above site is an official government site.) Officials who spoke on condition of anonymity said Republican and Democratic supporters of the bill were presenting their proposal to the Senate's top two leaders, who in turn arranged an early evening meeting to discuss it. Cheney Impeachment Watch: Now There are Eight by dlindorff [Subscribe] Thu Jun 14, 2007 at 10:57:30 AM PDT At what point does this story become news in our state-controlled and oh-so-deferential corporate media? Its getting almost entertaining to watch how long it will take for the corporate media to finally admit to the American public that there is a serious move underway in Congress to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney for high crimes and misdemeanors. Almost two months ago, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) submitted a bill of impeachment (H. Res. 333) against the vice president, charging him with lying about the reasons for invading Iraq, and for illegally threatening to invade ...

Our Masonic Constitution by J B CAMPBELL Our Masonic Constitution Our Masonic Constitution The US Constitution was a betrayal of the Declaration of Independence. Real patriots such as Patrick Henry, George Mason and a few others saw it as a blueprint for empire and fought it. The Bill of Rights was added at their insistence as a defense against the Constitution! Big Banker whores such as Hamilton and the Federalists didn't want any enumerated rights - they said "You must trust us and our promises to observe your rights." Henry said, "Not good enough - we need guarantees." In 1976, the Sovereign Grand Commander of the 33rd Degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry, ...

Mom in jail for serving 16 year olds beer by max stirner [Subscribe] Wed Jun 13, 2007 at 10:40:03 AM PDT The BBC has the story here. And she is not just serving a few days, she is in two and half years, appreciably more than if she had risked life and limb driving drunk. Whenever there is a health problem, the political instinct is always to ban something or require something. Upset about head injuries--make helmet wearing manditory! Don't want your kids to grow up pot heads, send drug dealers to jail for life. Don't like problem drinking--send parents to jail who serve their kids booze (and keep the drinking age at 21). THe whole approach is wrong headed. As anyone who is or ...

AP - 6/13/2007 11:25 AM - Updated 6/13/2007 11:27 AM WASHINGTON (AP) _ The House Wednesday passed what could become the first major federal gun control law in over a decade, spurred by the Virginia Tech campus killings and buttressed by National Rifle Association help. The bill, which was passed on a voice vote, would improve state reporting to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System to stop gun purchases by people, including criminals and those adjudicated as mentally defective, who are prohibited from possessing firearms. Seung-Hui Cho, who in April killed 32 students and faculty at Virginia Tech before taking his own life, had been ordered to undergo outpatient mental ...

Court Says Military Cannot Hold 'Enemy Combatant' (AP and NYT) The Bush administration cannot use new anti-terrorism laws to keep U.S. residents locked up indefinitely without charging them, a divided federal appeals court said Monday. The ruling was a harsh rebuke of one of the central tools the administration believes it has to combat terror. To sanction such presidential authority to order the military to seize and indefinitely detain civilians," Judge Diana Gribbon Motz wrote, even if the President calls them enemy combatants, would have disastrous consequences for the Constitution and the country. We refuse to recognize a claim ...

Neocon Scholars Call for Dismembering Bill of Rights Tuesday June 12th 2007, 1:31 pm Imagine my surprise. A guest scholar at the center-left Brookings Institution, Benjamin Wittes, wants to gut the Second Amendment. Wittes told CNSNews that rather than try to limit gun ownership through regulation that potentially violates the Second Amendment, opponents of gun ownership should set their sights on repealing the amendment altogether. Georgetown University law professor Randy Barnett, however, did not limit his comments to the Second Amendment, suggesting instead that much of the Bill of Rights has no contemporary relevance. As an example, ...
New Jersey closer to becoming 4th state to limit handgun buys [one a month] Post Date: 2007-06-12 22:35:14 by Brian S

TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey moved closer on Monday to becoming the fourth state to prohibit people from buying more than one handgun a month when the Assembly voted 51-25 to impose the proposed limit. Assemblywoman Joan Quigley, a bill sponsor, represents Jersey City, which last year adopted its own law making it illegal to buy more than one handgun per month. That measure was struck down by a judge who ruled the local law pre-empted state authority. "I personally can see no reason why anyone would want to go out and buy guns in multiples," said Quigley, D-Hudson. Jersey City's mayor, Jerramiah T. Healy, is among those pushing for the state law, which would exempt law ...

WASHINGTON The FBI wants to compile a massive computer database and analyze it for clues to unmask terrorist sleeper cells. A North Carolina congressman is one of two who are worried about whether the bureau will protect the privacy of U.S. citizens. Reps. Brad Miller, D-North Carolina, and James Sensenbrenner, R-Wisconsin, the chairman and ranking Republican on the House Science and Technology investigations subcommittee, asked the Government Accountability Office to investigate the proposal. Their June 4 letter to GAO was released Tuesday. Miller and Sensenbrenner questioned both the FBI's ability to properly manage such a large trove of data and whether predictive ...

Note; this applies directly to the book, Unforgiven, and the attack that is being made on America AND the loss of over 25 million family farms. Until the people of America identify the who/what/when/where of the attack, nothing can be done about it. This is a BIG part of the WHO of that attack. There are two Crowns operant in England, one being Queen Elizabeth II. Although extremely wealthy, the Queen functions largely in a ceremonial capacity and serves to deflect attention away from the other Crown, who issues her marching orders through their control of the English Parliament. This other Crown is comprised of a committee of 12 banks headed by the Bank of England (House of Rothschild). ...

FREEDOM ABOVE FORTUNE NEWS Dear Friends, I am passing along an urgent appeal from Attorney Jeff Dickstein. As many of you know, I was blessed with having Jeff in my corner in my criminal trial and he has been in Bill Bensons corner for a long, long time. Bills 16th Amendment research influenced me a great deal when I was investigating the claims made by so-called tax protesters while working for the IRS Criminal Investigation Division. That influence resulted from cold, hard FACTS that Bill had accumulated and shared with me. These FACTS caused me to look closer at what the IRS had to back up THEIR claims about Bill and others. My resignation from the ...
