Insourcing & amnesty Worldnetdaily By Vox Day April 10, 2006 In 1986, Congress passed an amnesty that was, the American people were informed, going to end the invasion of illegal immigrants. As with most government solutions, it exacerbated the problem that it was nominally designed to solve, thus leading for Jorge Bush's call for a second "one time only" legalization of the millions of illegal immigrants already present in the United States. Jorge and his fellow Republican traitors for what else can one call those who look the other way while the nation is invaded by a force more numerous than the Europe-conquering Wehrmacht attempt to justify their treason ...

INSIDER INFO: 6 Million Wiretapped Conversations Per Month Wednesday, January 11th, 2006 Facts from IBM In a quirk of fate, I met someone from IBM who was directly involved in implementing the wiretapping system that is all over the news. It is much worse than the news would suggest. As some have reported, this is definitely not just NSA. The bidding for the technology to do this project was conducted by members of the FBI and the CIA. During the proposal process, IBM was told explicitly that they were to answer questions, not ask them. One of the most noteworthy comments was that the Government had specified 60 Terabytes of monthly storage for digital versions of conversations. ...

Dear Readers,CounterPunch co-editor Jeffrey St. Clair this morning brought to my attention a screed by a disturbed individual named George M. Weinert V of Chicago, Illinois, whose blog, American Jihad, features a March 24, 2006 article (to put it charitably) that reads clearly as an incitement to violence . . . a call to "hunt down the treasonous operators" of Dissident Voice, CounterPunch, Uruknet, and other "radical left wing hippy commie Muslim sucking" (wow, what a mouthful) web sites. Particularly singled out for targeting in Weinerts deranged ramblings are Dissident Voice contributing writers Mike Whitney, Ken Sanders, as well as our friend and past ...

Maybe it's just me, but from my perspective all of these Invasion of America "rallies" are being done with the expressed purpose of provoking some kind of violent response from people who still give a damn about whats left of the country. Anyone want to place any bets on which US cities will be put under martial law and when it will happen? I suppose we could also take guesses at how many Americans will be hauled off to the camps, but that might be hard to verify since there's no way the feds are going to report just how many people have been rounded up and shipped off.

Local Teacher's Run-In With Homeland Security Creates Insecurities Thu Apr 6, 5:29 PM ET A local school employee said a rough run-in with a couple of Homeland Security officers has left him with a strong sense of insecurity. Leander Pickett, a teacher's assistant at Englewood Elementary, said he was manhandled and handcuffed by two plain clothed Homeland Security officers in front of the school Tuesday for no reason at all. "I would like to treat people the way I would want to be treated, and yesterday I wasn't treated that way," Pickett said. Pickett has been working at Englewood for two years, and his principal and colleagues told Channel 4 they have never met a ...

San Francisco The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) on Wednesday filed the legal briefs and evidence supporting its motion for a preliminary injunction in its class-action lawsuit against AT&T. After asking EFF to hold back the documents so that it could review them, the Department of Justice consented to EFF's filing them under seal a well-established procedure that prohibits public access and permits only the judge and the litigants to see the evidence. While not a party to the case, the government was concerned that even this procedure would not provide sufficient security and has represented to the Court that it is "presently considering whether and, if so, how ...

Gonzales suggests that Bush has the authority to order warantless wiretapping of calls, emails RAW STORYPublished: Thursday April 6, 2006 Print This | Email ThisAttorney General Alberto R. Gonzales suggested for the first time on Thursday that the president might have the legal authority to order wiretapping without a warrant on communications between Americans that occur exclusively within the United States, the NEW YORK TIMES reports Friday. Excerpts: # "I'm not going to rule it out," Gonzales said when asked about that possibility at a House Judiciary Committee hearing. The attorney general made his comments, which critics said reflected a broadened view of the ...

How to earn $3.5 trillion and pay zero taxes The Christian Science Monitoe By David R. Francis April 19, 2004 The April 2 release of a General Accounting Office report on corporate taxes could hardly have been better timed to get press attention. Just as millions of Americans were filling out their federal 2003 tax forms to beat the April 15 deadline, the GAO study indicated that most corporations owed no taxes from 1996 to 2000, a boom period for corporate profits. Those untaxed corporations earned $3.5 trillion of revenues. Any individual who paid taxes provides more money to run the government than these untaxed firms, says Barry Piatt, spokesman for Sen. Byron Dorgan (D) of North ...
ADVOCACY OF TERRORISM NOT ALWAYS EXCLUSIONARY - "Inciting people to commit terrorist acts is not enough cause to deny someone a visa in U.S." Post Date: 2006-04-06 18:38:23 by Uncle Bill

Teddy's terrorist loophole The Washington Times Joel Mowbray March 27, 2006 Waving to the cheering crowd at the St. Patrick's Day parade with a giddy congressman by his side, Irish Republican Army political leader Gerry Adams visited the United States thanks to a special provision put into the law for him more than a decade ago by Sen. Ted Kennedy. And in that time, many other staunch advocates of terrorism have utilized that very same provision in order to come to the United States -- including several affiliated with the Taliban. Simply put, the language Mr. Kennedy inserted into the Immigration and Nationality Act in 1990 states that consular officers cannot refuse a visa to someone ...

Burglars will be allowed to escape without punishment under new instructions sent to all police forces. Police have been told they can let them off the threat of a court appearance and instead allow them to go with a caution. The same leniency will be shown to criminals responsible for more than 60 other different offences, ranging from arson through vandalism to sex with underage girls. New rules sent to police chiefs by the Home Office set out how seriously various crimes should be regarded, and when offenders who admit to them should be sent home with a caution. A caution counts as a criminal record but means the offender does not face a court appearance which would be likely to end ...
AG Gonzales Draws Criticism From Panel Chief; "stonewalling" on warrantless eavesdropping program Post Date: 2006-04-06 11:17:51 by Brian S

The Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee pointedly criticized Attorney General Alberto Gonzales Thursday for "stonewalling" by refusing to answer questions about the Bush administration's warrantless eavesdropping program. Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., said Gonzales was frustrating his panel's oversight of the Justice Department and the controversial surveillance by declining to provide information about how the program is reviewed inside the administration and by whom. "How can we discharge our oversight if, every time we ask a pointed question, we're told the program is classified?" Sensenbrenner asked Gonzales near the start of a lengthy ...

Little to stop illegal aliens from voting THE WASHINGTON TIMES By Christina Bellantoni September 23, 2004 U.S. citizens who go to the polls Nov. 2 to decide local, state and national elections are likely to get more help from noncitizens this year than ever before. Beyond requiring applicants to sign a pledge on voter-registration forms affirming that they are U.S. citizens, there is no way to prevent the nation's estimated 8 million to 12 million illegal aliens from casting ballots in November, area elections officials said. Locally, only Virginia requires voters to provide their Social Security numbers, but the state does not require voters to show their Social Security cards. ...

President George Bush continues to openly and defiantly ignore the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) -- the 1978 statute prohibiting electronic inspection of Americans' telephone and email communications with people outside the United States without a court-authorized warrant. (According to U.S. News & World Report, the President may also have authorized warrantless break-ins and other physical surveillance, such as opening regular mail, in violation of the Fourth Amendment.) Bush's position is that he does not need Congressional approval for his measures. Even he does not claim that Congress gave him express power to undertake them, but he does claim that Congress ...

April 4, 2006 An Evergreen high school student who posted Internet photos of himself posing with guns was convicted Tuesday on a charge of possession of a handgun by a juvenile. The conviction came despite his parents' testimony that they gave him permission to handle guns in their home without their supervision. Colorado law prohibits possession of a handgun by a juvenile, but permits parents to give them permission to possess guns in their homes, even without supervision. "This is a very difficult case," defense attorney Barrett Weisz said in his closing argument after a trial that began Friday. "We have pictures that raise images of the Columbine massacre. But if we ...

Amnesty International has released a report claiming that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) used private aircraft operators and front companies to hide CIA rendition flights and "black site" detention facilities in foreign countries. The report includes a lengthy account drawn upon the only public testimony of detainees held at "black sites," that of three Yemeni nationals who "disappeared" in U.S. custody for more than eighteen months but were never charged with any terrorism-related offences. "During their disappearance, the three men were kept in at least four different secret facilities, likely to have been in at least three different ...

The Disheartening Fall of Doug Thompson Monday April 03rd 2006, 8:40 am In the last few days, people have lamented the fall of Doug Thompson, editor of Capitol Hill Blue. Last week Thompson came out against the nine eleven truth movement, basically called those of us who believe the attacks were pulled off by elements within the United States government conspiracy nuts. I am not surprised by this. Capitol Hill Blue is a liberal website, often in favor of Democrats, and suffering from the disease most Democrats suffer froma pathetic belief in the efficacy of government, if only we endeavor to elect good people. In fact, those who are offered at election time are nothing ...
