Those foolish enough to believe there is no basic difference between Republicans and Democrats on illegal immigration, should study the results of the vote on HR 4437. That measure passed the House in December 2005, focused on border security and included no guest worker provision. The numbers: Yea No NV GOP 203 17 11 Demo 36 164 2 Ind 1 TOTALS 239 182 13 Once again, as with the senate bill, Demos voted for Mexico, against the US! Of course we Democrats are for secure borders!
