Dear Senator Russell Pearce, I am compelled to write to you about a recent event that occurred to me. I currently work as a substitute teacher in the west valley areas of Phoenix, Glendale, and Peoria. I was called upon to teach history and language arts for 8th grade at a Glendale public school. The number of students I had in each class ranged from 28 to 38 children, which were almost all Hispanic and a couple of Black children. The day started out as usual turning on the television listening and watching the announcements and saying the Pledge of Allegiance. During the Pledge of Allegiance I notice the vast majority of students refusing to stand and say the pledge. I asked the students ...

Detroit's Population Crashes Census Finds 25% Plunge as Blacks Flee to Suburbs; Shocked Mayor Seeks Recount DETROIT—The population of Detroit has fallen back 100 years. The flight of middle-class African-Americans to the suburbs fueled an exodus that cut Detroit's population 25% in the past decade to 713,777, according to Census Bureau data released Tuesday. That's the city's lowest population level since the 1910 census, when automobile mass production was making Detroit Detroit. The decline, the fastest in city history, shocked local officials, who had expected a number closer to 800,000. Mayor Dave Bing said the city would seek a recount. "If we could go ...

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has told undocumented immigrants on the Italian island of Lampedusa they were not welcome in Europe during a visit met by protesters. "I have a lot of compassion for you but Europe can't welcome you. We don't have the financial means," Le Pen told two of the thousands of immigrants who have landed on the rocky island off the coast of Tunisia in recent weeks. Campaigners from a local human rights group turned out for a small demonstration against her controversial visit on Monday, holding banners reading: "Lampedusa Is Not Racist!" and "Solidarity with the Asylum Seekers!" "Racists go away!" chanted the ...

North Dakota, the state with the nation's lowest unemployment rate, capped a decade of economic prosperity with dramatic population growth in its biggest cities. North Dakota's low unemployment rate and steady housing market helped towns like Fargo, pictured, grow dramatically. Fargo added nearly 15,000 residents to hit a record population of 105,549, the Census Bureau reported Wednesday. Its fast-growing neighbor of West Fargo added an additional 11,000 residents to reach a population of 25,830. * Fargo has seen steady growth over the decade — the housing boom missed it — to reach a size that surprised city officials. "Above 100,000? Wow. That puts us into a ...

Barack Obama is not content with America having specifically American demographic problems (namely, an underclass of freed slaves and Mexican immigration from the south); America must have Europe's demographic problems as well. From The Last Crusade: President Barack Hussein Obama, in a determination letter to Congress, has announced that he will allow an additional 80,000 immigrants – - mostly from Islamic countries – - to resettle in the United States during fiscal year 2011. Mr. Obama says that the increase in Muslim immigrants “is justified by humanitarian concerns or is otherwise in the national interest.” The following “goals” for new immigrants ...

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — A Republican lawmaker in Kansas apologized Tuesday for remarks suggesting that illegal immigrants should be shot like feral swine, but his statement didn't quiet the furor over what he said was a "regrettable" joke. The League of United Latin American Citizens' national office in Washington described the comments from state Rep. Virgil Peck, of Tyro, as "despicable" and called upon him to resign. And U.S. Rep. Charles Gonzalez, a Texas Democrat who is chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, said such remarks "have no place in our national discourse." Leaders of the Kansas House's Republican majority called the ...

ply is not known whether any of Sabre’s weapons parts ended up in gun-making chop shops south of the U.S. border, or elsewhere, or whether any of the M16s it made for the U.S. military were later provided to the Mexican government — via the FMS or DCS programs — and subsequently diverted by corrupt officials to narco-trafficking groups. But the State Department cables recently made public by WikiLeaks do seem to confirm that the U.S. government is very aware that much of the heavy firepower now in the hands of Mexican criminal organizations isn’t linked to mom-and-pop gun stores, but rather the result of blowback from U.S. arms-trading policies (both current and dating ...
