Mexican Drug Cartel Laundered Money Through BofA, FBI Alleges

Drug money has a way of sprawling. And some of it may have reached Bank of America. A federal probe into Los Zetas, a Mexican drug cartel, claims that the group has been laundering money through accounts at BofA, according to a recent report in The Wall Street Journal. An FBI affidavit filed in Texas last month says that the Mexican drug cartel has been reportedly funneling cash through a Texas-based racehorse business with BofA accounts. The U.S. government has described Los Zetas in the past as "the most technologically advanced, sophisticated and dangerous cartel operating in Mexico." Tremor Enterprises LLC, the horse business, was for its part allegedly run by Jose Trevino ...

(Obama) No human being is 'illegal'

No human being is 'illegal' By FATMA MAROUF SPECIAL TO THE LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL Posted: Jun. 22, 2012 | 2:10 a.m. Last Saturday, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists hosted a panel discussion on the use of the term "illegal immigrants." As a participant on that panel, I write to stress that the term "illegal immigrants" - used by the Review-Journal and endorsed by The Associated Press - is inaccurate, misleading and dehumanizing. First, "illegal" is an adjective that describes an act, not a person. We don't call people who cheat on their taxes "illegal taxpayers" or people who speed "illegal drivers." ...

John Williams of Shadow Stats tells us that the real US unemployment rate is 22%. Even the controlled press tells us that the youth unemployment rate is over 50% this summer. A couple of months ago an attractive woman told President Obama that her husband was an electrical engineer who was unemployed for over two years. The President told her that he had been told that Green Cards are only issued after an employer could not find an American citizen to do that job. He promised to look into her husband’s case. Two months later her husband was still unemployed. President Obama did give her and the rest of us an answer of sorts. On Friday he said he was going to ignore the law and allow ...

Americans love to talk about food–how asparagus is best prepared, which preservatives to avoid, which types of fish are in peril, where to find the best tacos or most delectable peach pies. The mounting number of migrants is high on the national agenda following a series of crimes, including rapes, that have been blamed on the newcomers.Netanyahu says the influx is "threatening the fabric of Israeli society, its national security and its national identity."He says if Israel doesn't stop it, then "60,000 infiltrators are liable to become 600,000, and lead to the eradication of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state."More than 50,000 Africans have poured into Israel since 2005, seeking to escape persecution and poverty. Some ...

(Reuters) - Suspected drug gang killers dumped 49 headless bodies on a highway near Mexico's northern city of Monterrey in one of the country's worst atrocities in recent years. The mutilated corpses of 43 men and 6 women, whose hands and feet had also been cut off, were found in a pile on a highway in the municipality of Cadereyta Jimenez in the early hours of Sunday, officials from the state of Nuevo Leon said. "What's complicating the identification of all the people was that they were all headless," said Jorge Domene, the Nuevo Leon government's spokesman for public security, who said the other body parts were missing. Domene said the brutal Zetas drug gang ...

Cops Should Act Like Firemen in a Free Society

An important characteristic of both crimes and fires is the impossibility of knowing where either will occur. Firemen may have a general sense of the buildings that are at a higher risk of burning down, but they have absolutely no idea about which particular house will be the next one to catch fire (unless the firemen are the arsonists). Similarly, cops may have a general sense of what neighborhoods have a higher crime rate than others, but they have absolutely no idea which person will be the next one to commit murder or rape (unless the cops themselves commit the next murder or rape). Given that cops and firemen are both concerned to respond to events that cannot be predicted, it is ...

MIAMI (CBS4) – In a new crackdown, Florida officials are investigating the citizenship of thousands of registered voters. CBS4 News has learned 2,000 of those potential non-citizen voters are registered in Miami-Dade County. At least one person on the list has had the opportunity to vote for the past 40 years. “These are the people that we have to notify by mail that we have a reason to believe that they’re a non-citizen,” said Christina White, Deputy Supervisor of Elections. Miami-Dade is not alone. Broward is looking at 260 registered voters and Monroe is investigating four. Numbers are important in elections. After all, the 2000 presidential election was decided by ...

Police to ignore California impound law amid concern of fairness to illegal immigrants
Post Date: 2012-03-23 12:39:51 by Horse

The Los Angeles Police Department will soon start ignoring California state law, which requires police to impound the vehicles of unlicensed drivers for 30 days. The majority of unlicensed motorists in Los Angeles are immigrants who are in the country illegally and have low-income jobs. The LAPD says the state's impound law is unfair because it limits their ability to get to their jobs and imposes a steep fine to get their car back. As long as drivers can produce some form of I.D., proof of insurance and vehicle registration, they'll be allowed to keep their car. Police Chief Charlie Beck insists that it's simply leveling the playing field. "It's about fairness. ...

Under the guise of environmentalism, various federal agencies and departments are blocking Border Patrol agents’ access to critical areas while contributing to widespread lawlessness along the U.S. border, according to experts. Criminals, meanwhile, are taking full advantage of the rapidly deteriorating situation. Despite claims by the Obama administration that the American border is “safer” or “more secure” than ever, sources with knowledge of the reality on the ground say that is simply not true. In fact, as Mexico spirals deeper into chaos, conditions along the border are only getting worse — rapidly. “Far from contained and secure, the Arizona Border ...
