COUNTRY GENTLEMAN December, 1944 THE KEY TO PROSPERITY New research findings show that high farm production and income are the guaranty of full factory employment and national prosperity. by E. H. Taylor The American people can have a national income of $140-billion dollars, necessary for full employment, after the war. But it depends on one definite requirement. This is an annual total farm income of around $20-billion. Whatever our afterwar national income may be, it will inevitably be very close to seven times the total farm income. Whether we enjoy the prosperity that is possible or suffer a needless depression, this ratio will hold true. All the major interests in our economy are ...

If a man or woman living among you in one of the towns the Lord gives you is found doing evil in the eyes of the Lord your God in violation of his covenant....and this has been brought to your attention, then you must investigate it thoroughly. If it is true and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, take the man or woman who has done this evil deed to your city gate and stone that person to death. On the testimony of two or three witnesses a man shall be put to death, but no one shall be put to death on the testimony of only one ...

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, an armistice was signed that ended World War I, the first great bloodletting of the twentieth century, "the war to end all wars" that proved but the prelude to World War II. Now, here we are at the 11th day of the 11th month of the sixth year of the twenty-first century and another great bloodletting is underway that, despite the recent electoral thumpin' of the Bush administration and the resignation of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, has no end in sight. In Iraq, 2,839 American troops have already died, tens of thousands have been wounded, and unknown hundreds of thousands of Iraqis military, insurgent, and ...

Institute for Historical Review Oswald Spengler: Criticism and Tribute by Revilo P. Oliver (about the author) Conceived before the First World War is Oswald Spengler's magisterial work, Der Untergang des Abendlandes (Munich, 1918). Read in this country chiefly in the brilliantly faithful translation by Charles Francis Atkinson, The Decline of the West (New York, two volumes, 1926-28), Spengler's morphology of history was the great intellectual achievement of our century. Whatever our opinion of his methods or conclusions, we cannot deny that he was the Copernicus of historionomy. All subsequent writings on the philosophy of history may fairly be described as criticism of the Decline of ...

Germans claim they 'invented' Halloween Post Date: 2006-10-28 22:56:42 by Morgana le Fay

Hamburg - Forget all those books that say the Irish invented Halloween and that Irish-Americans popularised it in the 20th Century. Experts in Germany say Halloween was invented by witches in the Black Forest of Germany. Be that as it may, law-enforcement authorities in Germany are alarmed at a dramatic increase in vandalism and lawless carousing on October 31 by young Germans who are attempting to re-enact scenes from Hollywood movies depicting Trick-'r'-Treat antics. The claim that Black Forest witches invented Halloween comes from historians in the small towns of Hausach and Gutach near Freiburg, deep in the Black Forest in south-western Germany. "For centuries, long before the ...

The Merciless Indian Savages A fresh perspective on how the West was won and from whom. reviewed by Steven Schwamenfeld The American Indian has always had champions among whites. Their voices have generally been loudest in areas furthest removed from Indians in their natural state perhaps not surprisingly since traditional Indian life involved almost perpetual warfare. Thus, as America's political frontiers moved West, Easterners came to see Indians not as, in George Washington's words, beasts of prey with an insatiable appetite for bloodshed, but as victims of the white man's greed and brutality. With the disappearance of the frontier all Americans ...

White Men Meet Indians Jamestown and the clash of civilizations. reviewed by Thomas Jackson Everyone has heard of Jamestown, Captain John Smith, and Pocahontas, but most Americans know few details about the clash of races and civilizations that marked the arrival of the English in Virginia in 1607. Love and Hate in Jamestown is a fascinating, readable account of the early days of the colony that treats the cultural collision with none of the anti-white hysteria now common in historical writing. Author David Price clearly admires Captain John Smith, and though many of the other Englishmen he writes about were greedy, naïve, or lazy, they came seeking better lives, not conquest or ...

Aztecs butchered, ate Spanish invaders The Tecuaque archeological site near Mexico City has yielded the skeletal remains of 550 victims who apparently had their hearts ripped out by Aztec priests in ritual offerings, and were dismembered or had their bones boiled or scraped clean. This is a surprising finding because it documents and support accounts of Aztecs capturing and killing a caravan of Spanish conquistadors and local men, women and children traveling with them in revenge for the murder of Cacamatzin, king of the Aztec empire's No. 2 city of Texcoco. Archaeologists say the discovery proves some Aztecs did resist the conquistadors led by explorer Hernan Cortes, even though history ...
The Last Great Steam Car Post Date: 2006-10-27 22:27:38 by Indrid Cold

When primitive automobiles first began to appear in the 1800s, their engines were based on steam power, the same power source which had motivated the Industrial Revolution. Steam had already enjoyed a long and successful career in locomotive powerplants, so it was only natural that the technology evolved into a miniaturized version which was unshackled from the rails. But these early cars inherited steam's weaknesses along with its strengths. The boilers had to be lit by hand, and they required about twenty minutes to build up pressure before they could be driven. Furthermore, their water reservoirs only lasted for about thirty miles before needing replenishment. Despite such shortcomings, ...

Some 200 activists looking to recover constitutional government gathered there again on Oct. 7, 2006 for another day of blissfully celebrating what the media apparatchiks in their ignorance miss. The holiday started as usual with prayers and tributes to 300 Confederate veterans buried opposite the ...

When the Spaniards under Hernan Cortez gazed upon the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlán in Mexico in 1519,they were amazed by the scene before them. There, in the middle of a wide lake was a shimmering city with bright white walls of vast buildings sitting on an island in the middle of a large lake with causeways linked to it. The astonishment of those first Spanish visitors soon turned to horror when they saw the vast scale of ritual sacrifices made by the Aztecs. Even today, it is hard to comprehend the extent or rationale for this ritual sacrifice. It is estimated that approximately 20,000 people per year were sacrificed by the Aztec royalty. Captives were taken to the top of ...

Always the great object was surprise. Always there was the swift and secret approach, the sudden, brief, incredibly violent eruption of death and devastation, and then the equally swift and secret withdrawal. The sudden demoniac materialization out of the previously silent and seemingly empty forest of a pack of howling savages, painted in grotesquely fearsome designs of red and black and green, appeared at first glance and from that first second an apparition too appalling to permit comprehension. The composite family of this representative instance might have comprised a husband and wife, his mother, her brother, and six children ranging from an infant in arms to teenage boy and girl. ...

Historical Lies As An Instrument Of Domination By Adrian Salbuchi 10-19-6 "Whoever controls the past, controls the present; whoever controls the present, controls the future" --George Orwell, '1984' "History is not merely the "past". It is usually the shape of the torments and struggles of the present That is why with history there are - and there must be - different historical interpretations. The task of an independently-minded person lies in analyzing the connections that exist among historical and social processes. This needs to be protected from the criticism of those person who always want to confront "absolute evil" with "absolute ...
Francis P. Yockey: His strange death and "suicide note" in articles, 1960 Post Date: 2006-10-18 18:35:17 by bluegrass

Below is a collection of all the articles I could find relating to Francis P. Yockey's arrest and "suicide" in 1960. They're actually everything on Yockey in the mainstream media of the day that I know of, minus a 1936 article that lists his membership in a debating club at Georgetown University. There's a few things that jump out: 1. The coroner (Paul Greene), his "roommate" (Alexander Scharf) and his cellmate (Adam Nieman) were all Jews. Scharf even taught at a synagogue and disappeared after Yockey's arrest. I've found mention of an Alexander Scharf in contemporary references to investing. BTW, the judge that was oveseeing Yockey's case was one Rabbi Joseph Karesh. ...

(Excerpted from "Imperium: A Philosophy of History and Politics" by F.P. Yockey, 1948) ...Since the War of Secession, 1865, the entire country has, financially speaking, been an empire of ignorant subjects, and the owners of the large banks in New York have been the economic monarchs. The codification of this situation took place in the year 1913, when the Federal Reserve System was created by law. It provided for a system of twelve central banks upon which the central government would be dependent for financing. These banks are privately owned, and issue money against government bonds, which are sold through these banks. Thus the American war effort in the Second World War ...
Little-Known U.S. Document Signed by President Adams Proclaims America's Government Is Secular Post Date: 2006-10-17 21:59:35 by Morgana le Fay

Some people today assert that the United States government came from Christian foundations. They argue that our political system represents a Christian ideal form of government and that Jefferson, Madison, et al, had simply expressed Christian values while framing the Constitution. If this proved true, then we should have a wealth of evidence to support it, yet just the opposite proves the case. Although, indeed, many of America's colonial statesmen practiced Christianity, our most influential Founding Fathers broke away from traditional religious thinking. The ideas of the Great Enlightenment that began in Europe had begun to sever the chains of monarchical theocracy. These heretical ...

"Id also like to know how the Holocaust death total of 6 million was determined. Is it the sort of number that is so well documented with actual names and perhaps a Nazi paper trail that no historian could doubt its accuracy, give or take ten thousand? Or is it like every other LRN (large round number) that someone pulled out of his ass and it became true by repetition? Does the figure include resistance fighters and civilians who died in the normal course of war, or just the Jews rounded up and killed systematically? No reasonable person doubts that the Holocaust happened, but wouldnt you like to know how the exact number was calculated, just for context? Without that ...

Perhaps I ought to shade this statement a little in order to keep on the safe side, and say that this is the most generally-expressed attitude. All our institutional voices the press, pulpit, forum are pitched to the note of amazed indignation at one or another phase of the ...
