Europe opposed unified Germany: Soviet memos Post Date: 2009-09-16 00:44:14 by X-15

DOCUMENTS smuggled out of Russia and made public for the first time reveal Britain and much of Western Europe opposed the reunification of Germany. The message was delivered privately - but off the record - to the Kremlin by Margaret Thatcher. According to the notes, translated from Russian and published in The Times yesterday, the then British prime minister held a frank discussion with president Mikhail Gorbachev in Moscow just two months before the Berlin Wall fell in 1989. The meeting was not fully reported at the time. Mrs Thatcher told Mr Gorbachev the destabilisation of Eastern Europe and the breakdown of the Warsaw Pact was not in the West's interest. She noted the enormous ...
Hitler's 39 living relatives revealed Post Date: 2009-09-16 00:20:12 by X-15

THIRTY-NINE living relatives of Adolf Hitler have been discovered by a customs official and a journalist who claim to have decoded the Nazi dictator's DNA. Analysing forgotten cigarette butts in a small village in lower Austria, a used paper serviette in a New York fast-food restaurant and the seals of letters sent over 30 years ago from northern France, Marc Vermeeren and Jean-Paul Mulders said they had traced all known living relatives of the Fuehrer for the first time. As well as three living in America, whose existence has been reported previously, they claim to have tracked down 36 others who still live in the wooded area of Austria where Hitler was born. Mr Vermeeren, a Belgian ...

Skeptics have argued that expert marksmen could not duplicate Oswald's alleged feat in their first try during re-enactments by the Warren Commission (1964) and CBS (1967). In those tests the marksmen attempted to hit the target three times within 5.6 seconds. This time span has been heavily disputed. The Warren Commission itself estimated that the time span between the two shots that hit President Kennedy was 4.8 to 5.6 seconds. If the second shot missed (assuming the first and third shots hit the president), then 4.8 to 5.6 seconds was the total time span of the shots. If the first or third shot missed, that would give a minimum time of 7.1 to 7.9 seconds for the three shots.[27] ...

Beyond Conspiracy - Kennedy Assassination Recreation Post Date: 2009-09-13 07:48:29 by Turtle

Poster Comment:I have pointed out several times to people that if Richard Nixon had been in that limousine, there would be no conspiracy theory, because people would have considered it one bad man killing another bad man (even though Nixon wasn't a bad man -- he was a far better man than Kennedy). But since Oswald was a nobody and a complete loser, and Kennedy was a handsome, rich, popular, charismatic man, people cannot handle the fact that a zero killed a "hero," so they have to come up with impossibly complex conspiracy theories, and cannot change their minds no matter how much proof they are shown.

Poster Comment:About ten years ago some British researchers used computers to place Kennedy and Connelly correctly (which the conspiracists don't want to hear), then made dummies out of ballistic gelatin, then used the same model rifle and same kind of bullet, and everytime they recreated the shot, the exact thing happened: the bullet hit Kennedy in the upper back, exited his throat, TUMBLED upright EVERYTIME, made a keyhole wound in Connelly's back, exited, hit his wrist and bounced into his thight. Of course, the conspiracists, who operate on childish narcissistic feelings and not facts and logic, don't want to hear any of this. It intrudes on their groovy little fantasy ...

Tell Me More About Albert Pike Albert Pike's Background Jump to Albert Pike & Three World Wars. www.threeworldwars.com/albert-pike2.htm Very few outsiders know about the intimate plans of Albert Pike and the architects of the New World Order www.threeworldwars.com/new-world-order.htm . In the 19th Century Albert Pike established a framework for bringing about the One World Order. Based on a vision revealed to him, Albert Pike wrote a blueprint of events that would play themselves out in the 20th century, with even more of these events yet to come. It is this blueprint which we believe unseen leaders are following today, knowingly or not, to engineer the ...

This is excerpted from Chapter 4 of the new book, Marijuana Is Safer: So Why Are We Driving People to Drink? by Paul Armentano, Steve Fox, and Mason Tvert (Chelsea Green Publishing, 2009). By 1937, Congress which had resisted efforts to clamp down on the drug some two decades earlier was poised to act, and act quickly, to enact blanket federal prohibition. Ironically, by this time virtually every state had already ratified laws against cannabis possession. Nonetheless, local authorities argued that the marijuana threat was so great that federal intervention was also necessary. On April 14, 1937, Rep. Robert L. Doughton of North Carolina introduced House Bill 6385, which ...

How steel back brace made JFK a sitting duck in Dallas [Full Thread] Post Date: 2009-09-09 21:10:18 by Turtle

Two years ago, historian Robert Dallek revealed new details about the extraordinary range of shots, stimulants and pills former United States President John F Kennedy took to control his physical pain and present his youthful image to the world. Important and interesting as these details are, they should not distract us from the one medical remedy that probably killed the president: his corset. Members of Kennedy's inner circle had often witnessed the painful ritual that Kennedy endured in his private quarters before he ventured in public, when his valet would literally winch a steel-rodded canvas back brace around the president's torso, pulling heavy straps and tightening the ...

On Sept. 1, 1939, 70 years ago, the German Army crossed the Polish frontier. On Sept. 3, Britain declared war. Six years later, 50 million Christians and Jews had perished. Britain was broken and bankrupt, Germany a smoldering ruin. Europe had served as the site of the most murderous combat known to man, and civilians had suffered worse horrors than the soldiers. By May 1945, Red Army hordes occupied all the great capitals of Central Europe: Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Berlin. A hundred million Christians were under the heel of the most barbarous tyranny in history: the Bolshevik regime of the greatest terrorist of them all, Joseph Stalin. What cause could justify such sacrifices? The ...

Poland has been holding a day of commemorations to mark the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II. Leaders from 20 countries laid candles during a ceremony near Gdansk. Earlier, Polish President Lech Kaczynski criticised the former Soviet Union over responsibility for the war. His words added to an ongoing row with Moscow, although Russian PM Vladimir Putin said he hoped the two countries could settle their differences. Mr Kaczynski said Poland had received a "stab in the back" from the former Soviet Union when it invaded and occupied the east of the country as the German army was advancing westwards. He again criticised the non-aggression pact between the Soviet ...

OSTON, Massachusetts (AFP) Tears, laughter, songs and jokes filled the air on the eve of Edward Kennedy's burial as friends and family held an Irish-style wake around his flag-draped coffin. The evening, dubbed by the family a "celebration of life," was the last event before the Democratic Party giant's funeral Saturday, where President Barack Obama will deliver the eulogy. Guests joined widow Vicki and other family in the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, the museum built overlooking Boston Harbor to commemorate the slain president and Kennedy's elder brother. Speakers praised Kennedy as a patriot, legendary senator, and a man who knew huge privilege, ...

(WashingtonsBlog) Adolph Hitler wrote in Mein Kampf: All this was inspired by the principlewhich is quite true in itselfthat in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that ...
Indentured Servants and Transported Convicts [The Slavery You Never Hear About] Post Date: 2009-08-25 20:09:27 by KinkoTheKlown

White indentured servants came from all over Great Britain. Men, women, and sometimes children signed a contract with a master to serve a term of 4 to 7 years. In exchange for their service, the indentured servants received their passage paid from England, as well as food, clothing, and shelter once they arrived in the colonies. Some were even paid a salary. When the contract had expired, the servant was paid freedom dues of corn, tools, and clothing, and was allowed to leave the plantation. During the time of his indenture, however, the servant was considered his masters personal property and his contract could be inherited or sold. Prices paid for indentured servants varied ...
An Honest Summary of Ted Kennedy's Disgraceful Life (Pass It On) Post Date: 2009-08-24 22:04:29 by X-15

As soon as his cancer was detected, there was an immediate attempt at the canonization of old Teddy Kennedy by the mainstream media. They are saying what a "great American" he is. Let's get a couple of things clear and not twist the facts to change his real history: 1. He was caught cheating at Harvard when he attended it. He was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him. 2. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two. Oops! The man can't count to four! His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England (a step up from bootlegging liquor ...

An Economic Interpretation of the Constitution of the United States by Charles A. Beard, 1913, Edited Excerpts Having shown that four groups of property holders were adversely affected by the government under the Articles of Confederation, and that economic motives were behind the movement for a reconstruction of the system, it is now necessary to inquire whether the members of the Convention which drafted the Constitution represented their own property affiliations. Adolf Hitler 'did shake hands with Jesse Owens' Post Date: 2009-08-20 12:00:27 by X-15

A veteran German sports reporter has claimed that Adolf Hitler did in fact shake hands with black US athlete Jesse Owens at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. At the time, it was reported that Hitler had stormed out of the stadium furious that Owens, who had just run his way to the first of four gold medals in the 100 metres, had beaten his Aryan sportsmen. However, Siegfried Mischner, 83, said that Owens carried around a photograph in his wallet of Hitler shaking his hand before he left the stadium. Owens, who felt the newspapers of the day reported "unfairly" on Hitler's attitude towards him, tried to get Mischner and his journalist colleagues to change the accepted version of ...
George Bush – Great President Or Greatest President Ever? Post Date: 2009-08-18 17:12:38 by longnose gar

I watched the state of the union last night and wow
amazing. Even Nancy Pelosi could not contain her admiration for the most powerful man in the world. Every time she stood up and clapped (as I think all Americans were doing) as he talked about his plans for Iraq, health care, social security reform and of course the deficit it was pretty amazing. George Bush has come such a long way. From rebuilding our country post-9/11 to making Iraq the 51st state (unofficially). Its just too bad he only has 2 years of leadership left. I only hope Rudy Giuliani when he is elected by the people in 2008 will continue the amazing legacy set forth by George Bush. Curious as to your thoughts on our ...
Why Bush Is a Great President Post Date: 2009-08-18 17:02:56 by longnose gar

George Bush may not be everyones favorite leader right now, but history will polish the wartime presidents image, writes Charles Krauthammer in the Washington Post. No one knew war was imminent when Bush entered officebut 9/11 changed that. Yet Bush has kept us safe and paved the way for his successor to do the same. Early reviews are predictably negative. Bob Woodward calls Bush "aloof and detached," but "a more favorably inclined biographer might have called it equanimity." As for the Iraq war, history has not yet rendered its verdict, but its likely to grow more favorable if, as is likely, the move turned an enemy into an ally in ...
