After spending hours the other night reading the Clown Posse website, my computer has come down with all sorts of problems, I can hardly type now as the letters take a lot of time to appear after I type. My computer is running very slow, and the curser is turning into double arrows and in general, this computer is now trashed. I'm not going to have a computer or internet for awhile, as I need to send this in to get fixed which takes weeks. This happened to me before after visiting the Clown Posse site to read. This is absolutely unbelievable. Bill O'Reilly is accusing people who call his public on-air radio show of harassment. And these callers did not say anything obscene or threatening, they just mentioned two magic words -- "Keith Olbermann." (O'Reilly has been "feuding" with MSNBC's Olbermann, who has been successful at getting under O'Reilly's skin). Not only that, O'Reilly has persuaded Fox's Security department to contact these callers and intimidate them. I just wanted to share something that put a smile on my saturnine face today - I just received an email, forwarded by a friend, and apparently going out to a lot of people, about the Steven Jones 9/11 meetings. This is from people who are NOT political. The truth is getting out. People are asking questions. Minds are opening up. I sent them some additional info about David Griffin that will hopefully give even more folks some things to think about. Keep fighting the good fight. How do I save a long Flash video to disk? I want to be able to show it later where there is no Internet access. I've tried ID'ing the temp file in my Opera cache but it disappears as soon as the video ends. Likewise upping the local storage option in the Flash settings creates a different .tmp file, but it too disappears as soon as the video ends. The actual file itself is called from a php script, so I can't ID it from the file name in the html source. Any wizards here who can help me out?

This morning Badeye's wife told him that if he didn't help with the business he couldn't use the computer. He made a deal with her and is now trying to make an Office Max run and empty the office trash cans before clocking in at LP. The GOP docks him a full hour if he is even five minutes late. At the end of the day we're going to find that the opposition to this comes from longshoreman's unions and/or business interests operating behind the scenes. I rarely look at Clown Posse but as folks were talking a look at it tonight I took a look around. This poster, Columbo, did a FANTASTIC job compiling stats on Free Republic registrations and posting. It's obvious from his data that FR is vastly inflating their membership numbers. We all assume this (I think) but it's great to see it backed up by solid research. Any one here seen this DVD about the questions raised by the 9/11 tower collapses? Is it worth recommending? I'd like to give something to various friends that lays out the questions in a clear and calm way as I think people need to become aware of what's been going on. I just watched the preview and found it very impressive - I learned a few things just from watching the preview.

Okay, I know I can do the research but I've been thinking about this for a while and I figure I'd throw the question out to see what kind of quick answers I get (or what directions people point me in). Ya know - 3000 people is not a lot of people to die in the collapse of two of the largest office towers in the world. I rarely hear people comment on this or actually consider these numbers. Several hundred people died in the 4 planes and and were fire or rescue/security people who had rushed into the scene. That leaves maybe 2500 or so office workers who died. More of a question to provoke discussion than anything else. I am increasingly of the opinion that the Republic is done for and that we are facing an economic, social, cultural and political devastation (and maybe health devastation) that even WE - the knowledgeable and cynical - can probably barely imagine. I don't think this is preventable any longer. I'm at the point of wondering how long we have before we reach collapse and what the bottom will be. How should we prepare for this? Hi folks. I was listening briefly to George Noory's show last night (Coast to Coast) and they were talking about John Titor, the time traveler. If any of you have opinions on whether he's real or not, or on his "predictions" (civil war in US in the next couple of years, etc), I'd be interested to hear what you think.
