In this video I talk about the fate of radio stations that broadcast on 87.7FM also known as Franken FMs. They actually aren't technically radio stations but rather low powered TV stations. The analog audio carrier for VHF channel 6 is 87.75MHz which can be picked up by most radios on 87.7. The FCC is requiring all remaining analog TV stations to convert to digital by July 13th of this year, 2021. If this happens these "Franken FMs" will no longer be heard on a radio.
