Turkey Rejects New US Syria Plan — Humiliates John Bolton
Post Date: 2019-01-09 18:37:29 by Ada

On Sunday National Security Advisor John Bolton tried to set conditions for a U.S. retreat from Syria: Bolton, on a trip to Israel and Turkey, said he would stress in talks with Turkish officials, including President Tayyip Erdogan, that Kurdish forces must be protected... Asked whether a U.S. withdrawal would not take place in Syria until Turkey guaranteed the Kurdish fighters would be safe, Bolton said: “Basically, that’s right.”... "We don’t think the Turks ought to undertake military action that’s not fully coordinated with and agreed to by the United States at a minimum,” Bolton said, “so they don’t endanger our troops, but also so ...

A woman with a concealed carry license fatally shot an armed man who attempted to rob her while at a bus stop in the Fernwood neighborhood in Chicago Tuesday morning. Around 6:15 a.m., the 25-year-old woman was approached while waiting for her bus alone, by a 19-year-old man who attempted to rob her at gunpoint, ABC 7 reported. The man reportedly pulled out a firearm and announced he would rob her. The woman reached for her firearm and fired one round at the attempted robber, shooting him in the neck. In a surveillance video, the man is seen fleeing the scene after being shot and the woman runs in the opposite direction. He was later discovered one block away and taken to Christ Medical ...

Father of World Wide Web Launches Radical Startup to Take Back the Internet from Google & Facebook

“For people who want to make sure the Web serves humanity, we have to concern ourselves with what people are building on top of it,” Tim Berners-Lee told Vanity Fair last month. “I was devastated” he said while going through a litany of harmful and dangerous developments of the past three decades of the web. That’s why “the Father of the World Wide Web” has launched a start-up that intends to end the dominance of Facebook, Google, and Amazon, while in the process letting individuals take back control of their own data. Berners-Lee’s new online platform and company Inrupt is being described as a “personal online data store,” or pod, where ...

US Fluoride Use Challenged in Court Neurotoxin lowers children’s IQ, linked to major health risks

The United States stands almost entirely alone among developed nations in adding industrial silicofluorides to its drinking water—imposing the community-wide measure without informed consent. Globally, roughly 5% of the population consumes chemically fluoridated water, but more people in the U.S. drink fluoride-adulterated water than in all other countries combined. Within the U.S., just under a third (30%) of local water supplies are not fluoridated; these municipalities have either held the practice at bay since fluoridation’s inception or have won hard-fought battles to halt water fluoridation. The fluoride chemicals added to drinking water are unprocessed toxic waste ...

TEHRAN (FNA)- Secretary-general of Iraq's al-Nujaba popular movement underlined preparedness to give a strong response to any possible US attack on Iraqi forces. "If the US targets the Iraqi forces, we will give them a crushing response. Our response will not merely be confined to missile attacks as they think but we will approach them so closely and will give them a surprising and proper response and God will help us," al-Ka'abi said in an interview with the Persian-language Ettela'at newspaper on Tuesday. He also reminded of the Iraqi popular forces' assistance to the Syrian army in the fight against the terrorist groups, and said, "We have also declared ...

'I don't want to live in the Matrix': Parking in some spots requires smartphone

Buffalo News) Cindi Eckis doesn’t have a smartphone, and she doesn’t want one. “It makes my life simpler,” the Cheektowaga retiree said. But sticking with her flip phone will make it tougher for her and other low-tech motorists to find a place to park along some streets of downtown Buffalo. A new parking policy being rolled out by city officials adds parking zones where the only way to pay to park is through the Buffalo Roam parking app. Blue "Pay by app only" signs went up earlier this week on Cobblestone District streets. "Pay from your phone," the signs read. "Download Buffalo Roam." Eckis doesn't understand why someone should ...

Blocking vs. Banning on Social Networks
Post Date: 2019-01-06 13:34:50 by Hogeye Bill

Blocking vs. Banning on Social Networks Banning is not aggression; not a free speech issue Banning someone from one’s own property is not aggression, and well within the rights of any legitimate owner. Thus, Facebook and Twitter and Patreon have the right to ban anyone they wish. Here I intend to examine the meta-issue: What policies should social network firms adopt to have the best quality network? But that’s the question from a social network shareholder and CEO point of view. From a customer-user’s perspective, the question is: What type of social network should I use? Which ones should I join and patronize, and which (as the case may be) should I boycott? Open speech ...

Yellow Vests Part VIII – Fisticuffs Edition

Another Saturday, another Yellow Vest revolt. These might be getting smaller, but they’re not getting worser. A heroic Chad boxer decided to punish the police for still not stepping down and letting the people overthrow Macron peacefully. Heavy blows of righteous fury rained down on the virgin police officer’s masked head. Armed to the teeth and on the high ground, he is still reduced to a shivering mess hiding behind his plastic virgin shield. Pathetic. Plenty of street fighters seem to have taken up the Yellow Vest cause. I condemn violence in any shape or form… but God, it felt satisfying to watch that. Also if you look closely, it seems to be the same street ...

The case will impact millions of medical marijuana users and gun owners across the United States.

Paedophile was shot dead in Italy 'by hitman hired by father of 15-year-old victim who killed herself after the abuse'

Police in Italy are investigating whether a paedophile freed from jail after abusing two teenage girls was shot dead by hitmen hired by the father of a victim who later committed suicide. Giuseppe Matarazzo, 45, a shepherd, was murdered in the town of Frasso Telesino, around 35 miles north of Naples, in July last year. He was shot five times from an SUV after one of the passengers beckoned him over to ask for directions.

FITTON: HUGE! California and Los Angeles County to Remove 1.5 Million Inactive Voters from Voter Rolls – Settle @JudicialWatch Federal Lawsuit!

Judicial Watch announced today that it signed a settlement agreement with the State of California and County of Los Angeles under which they will begin the process of removing from their voter registration rolls as many as 1.5 million inactive registered names that may be invalid. These removals are required by the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA). The NVRA is a federal law requiring the removal of inactive registrations from the voter rolls after two general federal elections (encompassing from 2 to 4 years). Inactive voter registrations belong, for the most part, to voters who have moved to another county or state or have passed away. Los Angeles County has over 10 million ...

Ray McGovern: The Deep State Assault on Elected Government Must Be Stopped

You may not like everything Donald Trump does, but will you let the CIA and GCHQ remove him from office? Ray McGovern, a 27-year veteran of the CIA and co-founder of VIPS (Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity) speaks on Trumpgate: the hogwash claims that Vladimir Putin put Trump in power and runs his policy. This isn't true, and represents, not a Democrat-Republican fight, but a fight between elected government and the Deep State. Poster Comment:Trump will put the Deep State and the Federal Reserve out of business. ;)

Trump: Slowly sending our troops back home Reports that President Trump is slowing America’s withdrawal from Syria were confirmed today in a series of Tweets, during which Trump confirmed that the US was “slowly sending our troops back home.” Though there was never an official timetable for the withdrawal, early reports suggested that the 2,000 US troops believed to be in Syria could be out within 30 days. Now, President Trump is said to be giving the Pentagon four entire months. In the meantime, the troops are going to be engaged in continued combat with ISIS, and US airstrikes will also continue. President Trump made reference to “ISIS remnants” in his ...

The people who own the government deliberately over populated America. Study the writings of Leon Walras and Wassily Leontieff. The latter won a Nobel Prize in economics for his study of the American economy. He studied the inputs and outputs of American industry. Starting with an extractive industry like mining which outputs coal and iron. These outputs become inputs to the making of steel as an output. This steel in turn becomes an input to the making of cars and washing machines. Leontieff determined that American wages were a third higher than Europe because we had abundant natural resources to which we added value through the employment of skilled labor. The fly in the ointment for ...

French Protesters Running Out Of Speed Cameras To Burn…
Post Date: 2018-12-31 14:28:27 by Horse

In the seventh week of the yellow vest protest movement in France, attacks on speed cameras continued unabated while other forms of demonstrations have lost steam. The relentless attacks on the automated ticketing machines have been so successful that protesters in a handful of areas have run into a novel difficulty. In the Vaucluse department, for instance, there are no working, fixed speed cameras left, and only three mobile units were functioning as of Saturday. Likewise, 46 of the 49 speed cameras in Lot-et-Garonne were out of order as of Sunday morning. Yellow vest demonstrations continued with fewer participants and less chaos. In Valence, protesters secured a permit to hold a ...

As a grocery chain is dismantled, investors recover their money. Worker pensions are short millions. Peter Whoriskey 23 hrs ago © Scott Roth/Invision/AP Marc Leder, left, and guests attend a 2015 benefit in the Hamptons. MUNCIE, Ind. —Once the Marsh Supermarkets chain began to falter a few years ago, its owner, a private-equity firm, began selling off the vast retail empire, piece by piece. The company sold more than 100 convenience stores. It sold the pharmacies. It closed some of the 115 grocery stores, having previously auctioned off their real estate. Then, in May 2017, the company announced the closure of the remaining 44 stores. Marsh Supermarkets, founded in 1931, had ...

A landmark due process case that led to an appeals court ruling that students need to be able to cross-examine their accusers and witnesses against them has come to an end, with the university and the accused student reaching a settlement. The University of Cincinnati (UC) has agreed to pay a student $47,152 in attorneys’ fees and will end his suspension from the university and drop all disciplinary sanctions, according to WCPO Cincinnati. The outcome of the student’s school disciplinary hearing will not appear on his transcript, and the school will remove the “responsible” finding from his record. UC will also make no public statements about the case. The student, in ...

World’s seventh largest bank, HSBC, has divested from Israeli weapons maker Elbit Systems over human rights concerns, in a major victory for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS) movement that fights Israel’s occupation of Palestine. While HSBC had yet to officially announce the decision, sources within the UK-based bank confirmed Thursday that it had ended its investments in Elbit, one of Israel’s biggest military contractors. The company states that although it never takes sides on political issues, it still "observes international human rights principles" that govern businesses. British activist group War on Want announced Thursday that HSBC decided to ...
