The Masses are Waking up, Nuit Debout Gatherings Spreading in Europe

Today on The Janssen Report: people are increasingly dissatisfied with the corruption and anti-social political decision-making in Europe. Nuit Debout is a new phenomenon that started in Paris on March 31st and is currently spreading to multiple countries (and numerous cities) in Europe. People gathering to discuss different topics on economics, politics and other matters they find of importance. The corporate mainstream media hardly reports on it and if they do, they cover mostly the negative aspects (such as rioting). I think it’s a very positive sign of the masses waking up to the harsh reality of fascism and economic slavery that we are facing. If you’re American and you now ...

Armed with guns and Constitutions, the “Patriot” movement sees America under threat Primed to fight the government

A fast-growing U.S. movement armed with guns and the Constitution sees a dire threat to liberty REDMOND, Ore. — B.J. Soper took aim with his AR-15 semiautomatic rifle and fired a dozen shots at a human silhouette target. Soper’s wife and their 16-year-old daughter practiced drawing pistols. Then Soper helped his 4-year-old daughter, in pink sneakers and a ponytail, work on her marksmanship with a .22-caliber rifle. Deep in the heart of a vast U.S. military training ground, surrounded by spent shotgun shells and juniper trees blasted to shreds, the Central Oregon Constitutional Guard was conducting its weekly firearms training. “The intent is to be able to work together ...

Ask Your Government if Another War is Right For You

I think anyone with a sense for the obvious agenda hidden in plain sight but beneath media-minced deviled ham is that we are on the road to war. Not approaching the freeway exit that says “Gas-Food-Slaughter Next Exit” but actually on that exit and looking for the McMassacre. Why do I think this? Several reasons, among which are: Assad has been given until August 1st to step down. A second airliner out of Egypt has now blown up in mid-air rather all of the sudden and suspiciously, the first being several months back and now a second this week. ISIS has not been daunted despite over a year of alleged aerial bombardment from Obama’s Flying Circus Stuka Squadron. But why now? ...

The Seeds of Revolt: American Families Owe Trillions of Dollars in Debt They Can’t Pay Off

Perhaps one reason so many American voters tolerate a government drowning in red ink is that the citizens are carrying huge amounts of debt themselves. Slate took a look at household debt recently, and found that it “remains higher than it was for almost all of postwar history,” despite a significant improvement since the end of the last recession. Our loads of both mortgage and non-mortgage debt began creeping up in late 2012, and of course student loan debt is blasting into the stratosphere: student_loan_debt_chart “The average household that has credit card debt owes $16,000. That number is $27,000 for auto loans, $48,000 for student loans, and $169,000 for ...

‘Everything...was a lie’: Former CIA analyst, John Kiriakou on the agency deleting torture report
Post Date: 2016-05-18 06:44:26 by Ada

The CIA’s Inspector General Office reportedly “inadvertently” deleted its only copy of the Senate Intelligence Committee’s Torture Report, but CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou tells RT that the American people shouldn’t believe what the agency says. The “inadvertently” deleted copy contained 6,700 classified documents on torture techniques used on prisoners by the CIA following the 9/11 terror attacks. Only about 500 pages of the report were declassified and released by the committee chair, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California), in December of 2014. Former CIA analyst John Kiriakou, who served time in jail for being the first to blow the whistle on the ...

Bank of North Dakota Soars Despite Oil Bust: A Blueprint for California?

(This originated with TruthOut, so it's a fairly credible repost in a fakey "Sucha Fail"-type site. They'll provide some reality to hook you on their fantasy. NN) This is a good reminder that not having your own bank as a State is counter productive and an effective tax. North Dakota shows us that this works even with populations as low as one million. Progress has been slow on this front and you may be sure that bankers have lobbied against it all. Ellen has been working this for several years now and it would be wonderful is the new president made it an imperative to ensure every state and large city actually does this.. Enemy at the gates: Preparing for a Hillary Clinton presidency Posted on May 16, 2016 by Thomas Miller HIllary Clinton cartoon As a nation we are facing what I am finding to be one of the least-hopeful presidential elections of my lifetime. We are facing the reality that we may see Hillary Clinton as the Democratic candidate for President of the United States. Yep… Hillary Clinton. This is a dangerous possibility, and poses a great threat to the preparedness-minded citizen. Some of the key issues that will probably pose an issue to you as a prepper include: The 2nd Amendment Security Personal income Energy and the environment The economy Ladies and Gentlemen: The 45th U.S. ...

Surrendering to Death

Eagles of Death Metal recently finished a Canadian tour and I got to sit down with vocalist Jesse Hughes and discuss the Bataclan attack in Paris that killed 89 of his fans. You’d think he’d want to avoid the topic, but he was actually eager to get into it. He sees it as a catharsis. Hughes is not happy with the way the media has treated the story. Details are randomly pulled from his interviews and entire angles are edited in later that are diametrically opposed to his beliefs. Jesse Hughes is an ordained Catholic minister. He’s pro-gun, pro-Trump, and pro-life. He recognizes that Islam is the problem and political correctness is literally killing us. Takimag: It’s ...

‘He Is NOT A Leader’ Superintendent Loses It On Obama Over Transgender Bathroom Decree

North Carolina and the federal government have filed dueling lawsuits against each other after the state passed a law requiring people to use the bathroom that corresponds to the sex on their birth certificate. The law also prohibits local government from making LGBT ordinances. If North Carolina loses, the state will likely be forced to comply or lose hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding. After news broke that President Barack Obama would tell all public schools to allow transgender students to use the bathroom of their choice, one Texas superintendent let him have it. Port Neches-Groves Superintendent Rodney Cavness told 12News that Obama’s letter, which was sent out ...

How the High Cost of Justice Pushes the Poor into Prison

In the American justice system, there’s often an assumption that if you can’t afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you. But thousands of Americans arriving in court each year over family disputes, domestic violence, eviction, foreclosure, denied wages, discrimination on the job, and an array of other civil issues have no right to counsel. If they can’t afford a lawyer, they’re on their own to face a system that is often confusing and riddled with fees. For poorer citizens, the cost of seeking justice often becomes so prohibitive they just give up. Even as criminal justice reform and the reduction of mass incarceration gain support across party lines, civil rights ...

Activists demand government seize cattle from family ‘We’re not afraid’: Second Standoff Looms As Bundy Women Rally to Protect Cattle A second standoff could be in the works if the government gives in to environmental activists’ demands to confiscate livestock owned by Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy, the man’s wife asserts. Speaking to The Guardian regarding calls from various wildlife groups asking the BLM to seize the embattled family’s cattle, Angie Bundy predicts the fallout of such actions would result in a bigger protest than the historic standoff that occurred in April 2014. “We’re not afraid,” Angie says. “If you have a ...

Is Austria About to Elect a Far-Right President?
Post Date: 2016-05-12 17:02:06 by Horse

All of Europe was shaken by Austria’s presidential elections last week. Since World War II, Austrian politics has been dominated by two main political parties—the Social Democrats (SPO) and the People’s Party (OVP). Every Austrian president has come from one of these two groups. Until now. On April 24, these two mainstream parties came in fourth and fifth place. Austria is now the latest in a long line of European countries to be hit by a “political earthquake.” Six years ago, the SPO and OVP won a combined 80 percent of the vote. This year, they won a little over 20 percent. A recent poll found that only 12 percent of Austrians think their country is moving in the ...

The rise of militias: Patriot candidates are now getting elected in Oregon

Like Trump, the Patriot Movement’s surge is due partly to fear and the perceived indifference of political leaders to places that didn’t recover from the 2008 crash Joseph Rice’s manner is a long way from militia stereotypes. The Patriot Movement leader does not present as a crazed gun nut, nor as a blowhard white supremacist. He’s genial, folksy, and matter-of-fact in laying out his views. But talk to him for long enough, and time and again the Patriot Movement leader returns to what really drives him: land. Rice is running for Josephine county commissioner in south-west Oregon, and believes that the federal government’s current role in land management is ...

The Secret Behind the Yemen War

Exclusive: A recent PBS report about the war in Yemen exposed the secret connection between the U.S.-Saudi alliance and Al Qaeda, a reality that also underscores the jihadist violence in Syria, writes Daniel Lazare. PBS Frontline’s “Yemen Under Siege,” which aired on May 3, makes for powerful viewing. A first-hand look at the devastation that the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and other powers have visited on one of the poorest countries in the Middle East, the 35-minute documentary shows families struggling amid the rubble, children dying from mortar attacks, surgeons operating without anesthesia, and other such horrors. But the most important revelation comes almost as an aside. ...

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists has published a searchable database that strips away the secrecy of nearly 214,000 offshore entities created in 21 jurisdictions, from Nevada to Hong Kong and the British Virgin Islands. The data, part of the Panama Papers investigation, is the largest ever release of information about offshore companies and the people behind them. This includes, when available, the names of the real owners of those opaque structures. Explore the database ICIJ, part of the nonprofit organization the Center for Public Integrity, has spent more than 12 months investigating the 11.5 million files that make up the Panama Papers, working with and ...

How To Live Without Refrigeration There are lots of reasons that could force us to live without refrigeration and this would create a lot of life changes. Milo Yiannopoulos Doesn’t Have Feelings

You’re one of the loudest, most provocative voices at Breitbart News, and you’re currently on a speaking tour of college campuses, railing against “P.C. culture.” You once admitted in a profile that your public persona started out as a comedy character that you created because “I didn’t like me very much.” What didn’t you like about yourself? I’ve wrestled with being religious and being conservative and being gay, but the reason I felt like that is because of other gay people. The only real shaming I’ve ever experienced has been from other gay people when I reveal my politics or my religion. Did they hurt your feelings? No. I don’t ...

Questions for Black Lives Matter: The Case for Separation

In reading the endless complaints by blacks about shootings by the police, I usually find it hard to know what really happened. As far as I am aware, the media never allow an unedited interview, or any interview, with the police charged with the shootings but allow endless commentary by people who weren’t there. I am also often puzzled by the motivation of the cops. Do they confer in the morning and say, “Hey, let’s shoot some totally innocent black guy in front of witnesses who probably have cell phones?” And why are cops not brutalizing Latinos, only blacks, especially in LA, which provides a target-rich environment? If I could, I would speak to BLM as follows: I ...

Prepping for Apartment and Condo Dwellers Part 1

Prepping for Apartment and Condo Dwellers Part 1 Dear Fellow Survivalist; A sizeable percentage of the U.S. population lives in apartments, rather than single-family homes, and that trend seems to be rising. Yet the vast majority of information for preppers is written as if it is for people in suburbia or even living in rural areas. Yet for most apartment dwellers, the option of moving to suburbia and having the space of a single-family home isn’t possible. They’ve got to prep where they are, making the most of their situation. This point has recently been brought to my attention by some of our readers; probably people who find themselves living in apartments, unable to rent or ...

Syrian Martyrs’ Day Centennial Commemoration by Stephen Lendman On May 6, 1916, Ottoman military leader Jamal Pasha (The Butcher) executed Syrian and Lebanese nationalists and intellectuals in Damascus and Beirut. Plazas in both cities where executions took place were renamed Martyrs’ Square. May 6 marked the 100th anniversary of what happened. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said the “occasion holds very special significance for the Syrian people who stress their determination to make sacrifices and offer more martyrs in order to defending their homeland’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.” “On this day, the Syrian people salute those who ...
