Krauthammer: White House 'Held Affair Over Petraeus's Head' For Favorable Testimony On Benghazi
Post Date: 2012-11-14 09:58:07 by Ada

Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer on Tuesday said the White House used David Petraeus’s affair to get the CIA director to give testimony about the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that was in line with the administration’s position on the matter. Appearing on Fox News's Special Report, Krauthammer said, "The sword was lowered on Election Day" (video follows with transcript and commentary): CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: I think the really shocking news today was that General Petraeus thought and hoped he could keep his job. He thought that it might and it would be kept secret, and that he could stay in his position. I think what that tells us is ...

The Sins Of General David Petraeus

Petraeus seduced America. We should never have trusted him. Posted Nov 11, 2012 5:43pm EST The fraud that General David Petraeus perpetrated on America started many years before the general seduced Paula Broadwell, a lower-ranking officer 20 years his junior, after meeting her on a campus visit to Harvard. More so than any other leading military figure, Petraeus’ entire philosophy has been based on hiding the truth, on deception, on building a false image. “Perception” is key, he wrote in his 1987 Princeton dissertation: "What policymakers believe to have taken place in any particular case is what matters — more than what actually occurred." Yes, it’s ...

Petraeus Scandal Expands to Cabinet as Benghazi Ties Hinted

After Resigning in Disgrace, Petraeus 'Too Busy' to Testify Iraq Commander turned CENTCOM Commander turned Afghanistan Commander turned CIA Director David Petraeus spent the weekend unemployed, having resigned on Friday in the face of evidence he gave his girlfriend access to classified data. But despite what one would figure is a wide open schedule, with his government career in tatters and his political future presumably dead, indications are that the “retired” general is “too busy” to testify on the September 11 attack on the Benghazi Consulate. But the scandal surrounding both the literal and figurative Petraeus Affair continues to grow with or without ...

According to two well-vetted sources with intimate knowledge of the CIA operations and events in Benghazi, the resignation of CIA Director David Petraeus is directly related to the testimony he was expected to provide before a closed-door hearing next week before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Sources close to the controversy, citing the need for anonymity due to their positions, stated that Barack Hussein Obama was aware of the CIA director’s indiscretions “long before” the November 6, 2012 elections, and knew about the FBI’s investigative findings weeks before the election, but “erected a firewall” to prevent any disclosure before November 6th. ...

Election Fraud? Obama Won More Than 99 Percent Of The Vote In More Than 100 Ohio Precincts

Barack Obama received more than 99% of the vote in more than 100 precincts in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on election day. In fact, there were a substantial number of precincts where Mitt Romney got exactly zero votes. So how in the world did this happen? Third world dictators don't even get 99% of the vote. Overall, Mitt Romney received 30.12% of the vote in Cuyahoga County. There were even a bunch of precincts in Cuyahoga County that Romney actually won. But everyone certainly expected that Cuyahoga County would be Obama territory. And in most of the precincts that is exactly what we saw - large numbers of votes for both candidates but a definite edge for Obama. However, there are more than ...

Military Absentee Ballots Delivered One Day Late, Would Have Swung Election For Romney

Military Absentee Ballots Delivered One Day Late, Would Have Swung Election For Romney WASHINGTON, DC – Sources confirmed today that hundreds of thousands of military absentee ballots were delivered hours after the deadline for them to be counted, with preliminary counts showing that they would have overturned the vote in several states and brought a victory for Governor Mitt Romney. Officials say the ballots were delivered late due to problems within the military mail system. Tracking invoices show the ballots sat in a warehouse for a month, then they were accidentally labeled as ammunition and shipped to Afghanistan. At Camp Dwyer, Marine Sergeant John Davis signed for them and ...

The Special Interests Won Again

The election that was supposed to be too close to call turned out not to be so close after all. In my opinion, Obama won for two reasons: (1) Obama is non-threatening and inclusive, whereas Romney exuded a “us vs. them” impression that many found threatening, and (2) the election was not close enough for the electronic voting machines to steal. As readers know, I don’t think that either candidate is a good choice or that either offers a choice. Washington is controlled by powerful interest groups, not by elections. What the two parties fight over is not alternative political visions and different legislative agendas, but which party gets to be the whore for Wall Street, the ...

The Case of the Missing White Voters

One of the more intriguing narratives for election 2012 was proposed by political scientist Brendan Nyhan fairly early on: that it was "Bizarro 2004." The parallels to that year certainly were eerie: An incumbent adored by his base but with middling approval ratings nationally faces off against an uncharismatic, wishy-washy official from Massachusetts. The race is tight during the summer until the president breaks open a significant lead after his convention. Then, after a tepid first debate for the incumbent, the contest tightens, bringing the opposition tantalizingly close to a win, but not quite close enough. The Election Day returns actually continued the similarities. ...

(NaturalNews) I don't normally watch television (the "zombie tube"), but I couldn't resist on election night. So I tuned in and found myself reacting in total shock at the live news interviews with Americans who had just voted: These people were complete morons! I don't mean that in a flippant derogatory way. What I mean is that they were cognitively incapable of intelligent thought. They had no grasp of the issues, no comprehension of political reality, and no clear idea why they even voted for their candidate. Without exception, the people I saw interviewed on the news appeared to be babbling idiots yanked right out of the movie Idiocracy. Some of them gave ...

Money Party Wins US Election

Money Party Wins US Election by Stephen Lendman The same party wins every time. Duopoly power rules. America is a one party state with two wings. Each replicates the other. On major issues mattering most, not a dime's worth of difference separates them. The late Gore Vidal explained it as well as anyone. Some of his best comments included: "Apparently, a democracy is a place where numerous elections are held at great cost without issues and with interchangeable candidates." "Any American who is prepared to run for president should automatically by definition be disqualified from ever doing so." "By the time a man gets to be presidential material, he's ...

All the other votes seemed to work just fine. Here’s the video from our contributor, David Pakman: The original video posted the YouTube description: My wife and I went to the voting booths this morning before work. There were 4 older ladies running the show and 3 voting booths that are similar to a science fair project in how they fold up. They had an oval VOTE logo on top center and a cartridge slot on the left that the volunteers used to start your ballot. I initially selected Obama but Romney was highlighted. I assumed it was being picky so I deselected Romney and tried Obama again, this time more carefully, and still got Romney. Being a software developer, I immediately went ...

Gary Johnson Currently Has 4.5 Percent of the Popular Vote

Libertarian Party presidential candidate Gary Johnson is pulling in 4.5 percent of the popular vote right now. That’s real numbers, not polling. The numbers come from two small New Hampshire villages, Dixville Notch and Hart’s Location, who voted at midnight this morning. According to the Associated Press, President Barack Obama got 28 votes from the two villages, Mitt Romney got 14, and Johnson got two. (The AP reported he only got one last night, but the story has been updated. But then the vote numbers in Hart’s Location are now off by one so there’s still an error somewhere in the story.) New Hampshire, of course, has a deep connection to libertarianism with the ...

When I went to vote last week in New York City, using an absentee ballot (because I will be out of the country on election day), I had a surreal experience that was also very ordinary: I marked my ballot – put it, as advised by the nice man behind the counter, into a sealed envelope, handed it to him and … nothing. That is, he looked at me quizzically as I waited. For what? I realized that in every transaction I ever had with the government, I get some kind of receipt or documentation. But I had just handed over my most precious possession, my vote, and I had nothing to show for it. No scrap of paper noting for the record what I had done, and no way to verify that what I wished ...

The Good, The Fast, And The Furious

As the congressional investigation and lawsuit seeking release of Fast and Furious documents come full circle, there was one man that foreshadowed the gun running scandal. The Good Jesse C. Trentadue, a Salt Lake City attorney, has had his eye on Attorney General Eric Holder since the mid 1990’s and has several ongoing lawsuits against the federal government under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Before Eric Holder was confirmed by the Senate as Attorney General in 2009, Trentadue sent a strongly worded letter with supporting documents to the Senate Judiciary Committee. The letter and supporting documents shed light on the questionable actions and decision making of Holder ...
