Breaking: Hillary Top Staff Being Reshuffled; Solis Doyle Replaced As Campaign Manager
Post Date: 2008-02-10 17:29:06 by robin

I've just obtained an internal Hillary email from campaign manager Patty Solis Doyle to Hillary's staff announcing that in a reshuffling of the campaign's inner circle, she's leaving the post of campaign manager, and is being replaced by longtime trusted aide Maggie Williams: Over a year ago Hillary launched her campaign for President. Her announcement began a historic effort that has inspired millions and brought hundreds of thousands to their feet all across this nation. I have been proud to manage this campaign, and prouder still to call Hillary my friend for more than sixteen years. I know that she will make a great President. This has already been the longest ...

Hillary, Will You Renounce Your Ties to Monsanto?

Dear Hillary, 10/02/08 "Counterpunch" -- - By polling logic, I should be your supporter -- Democrat, woman, white, liberal. But this past summer I saw a News Hour show on farmers committing suicide in Maharastra, India, which affected me deeply. I started learning what was happening to farmers and to food and how the Clintons are connected. The News Hour piece said Monsanto, a US agricultural corporation, hired Bollywood actors to sell illiterate farmers Bt (genetically engineered) cotton seeds, promising they'd get rich from big yields. The expensive seeds needed expensive fertilizer and pesticides (Monsanto's) and irrigation. There is no irrigation there. Crops failed. ...

Elected to end the war, Democrats have surrendered to Bush on Iraq and betrayed the peace movement for their own political ends Quietly, while Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have been inspiring Democrats everywhere with their rolling bitchfest, congressional superduo Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have completed one of the most awesome political collapses since Neville Chamberlain. At long last, the Democratic leaders of Congress have publicly surrendered on the Iraq War, just one year after being swept into power with a firm mandate to end it. Solidifying his reputation as one of the biggest pussies in U.S. political history, Reid explained his decision to refocus his party's ...

By LK | February 9, 2008 Libertarian email I just got: Traitorous jerks should have backed Paul, but THEY would not back THEIR candidate, I wrote them a nasty-gram: February 9, 2008 FROM THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY: Dear friend, Late Friday evening, Ron Paul sent out a message to his many supporters stating that he had a “nearly zero” chance of winning the Republican nomination in a brokered convention. Dr. Paul also stated loud and clear that “there will be no third party run.” Many of our own members, maybe even you, have been enthusiastic supporters of Dr. Paul’s campaign over the past year. Many thousands have given their time, money and their passion to ...

WASHINGTON — Sen. Barack Obama won caucuses in Nebraska and Washington state and battled Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Louisiana primary Saturday night in a bid to chip away at her slender delegate lead in their historic race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Obama was winning nearly 70 percent support in Nebraska, compared with 31 percent for Clinton, in caucuses with 24 delegates at stake. He also had 67 percent support in Washington state caucuses, compared with 32 percent for Clinton with returns tallied from about one-half of the state's precincts. There were 78 delegates at stake, the largest single prize of the night. The Democratic race moved into a new, ...

Mccain introduces Bill to improve health care…in Mexico! By hackthis | February 8, 2008 What would Americans think, then, of a member of Congress who introduced legislation, not to improve health care in the United States, but to improve health care in Mexico? Insane? Drunk? Unworthy of public office? Even more unbelievable, the senator who sponsored the bill is not on the verge of being thrown out of office for this odious piece of legislation. No, the senator who introduced the bill, Senator John McCain of Arizona, is on the verge of locking up the Republican nomination to be our next president. opensourceactivist.org/20...ve-health-care-in-mexico/ Click for Full Text!

February 6, 2008 Nominating McCain is the gesture of a desperate party. Republicans are so shell-shocked and demoralized by the success of the Bush Derangement Syndrome, they think they can fool the voters by nominating an open-borders, anti-tax cut, anti-free speech, global-warming hysteric, pro-human experimentation "Republican." Which is to say, a Democrat. As the expression goes, given a choice between a Democrat and a Democrat, voters will always choose the Democrat. The only question remaining is: Hillary or Obama? On the litmus test issues of our time, only partially excluding Iraq, McCain is a liberal. -- He excoriated Samuel Alito as too "conservative." ...

This is another of those.... NO SHIT SHERLOCK! moments..... 1 hour, 17 minutes ago WASHINGTON - The heck with Congress' big stimulus bill. The way to get the country out of recession — and most people think we're in one — is to get the country out of Iraq, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll. Pulling out of the war ranked first among proposed remedies in the survey, followed by spending more on domestic programs, cutting taxes and, at the bottom end, giving rebates to poor people in hopes they'll spend the economy into recovery. The $168 billion economic rescue package Congress rushed to approval this week includes rebates of $600 to $1,200 for most ...

Whether it's her background at the Rose Law Firm, her role in the Clinton White House pardons, her little-known testimony at the Iran/Contra hearings, or her silence about the suspicious death of friend Vince Foster, Hillary's ability to keep secrets from the public has been her political currency. Secrets are the source of her power. With the candidacy of Barack Obama, Hillary has a real rival. One who didn't vote to unleash the US war machine in Iraq, and one who has beaten her in two major political primaries. It's time to take a comprehensive look at Hillary's greatest hits. The "Very Special" Vince Foster: Israeli Spy?Most progressives tend to think of the ...

news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080..._on_el_pr/republican_race McCain not yet energizing conservatives By JIM KUHNHENN, Associated Press Writer 2 hours, 46 minutes ago Enter John McCain — a Republican with a history of clashing with his party's right flank. For the first time in three decades, Republicans are likely to nominate a presidential candidate who lost the conservative and evangelical votes in the primaries. Even as McCain reached out to them Thursday during the annual Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, some made no attempt to hide their distaste. Amid the cheers, there were boos. Placards denounced McCain's past support for changes in immigration ...

www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin426.htm McCAIN MADNESS By Pastor Chuck Baldwin February 8, 2008 NewsWithViews.com A few weeks before Super Tuesday, my friend Howard Phillips asked me who I thought the Republican Presidential nominee would be. I predicted John McCain. With the results of Super Tuesday now history, most political pundits are also predicting that the Arizona senator will gain the Republican nomination for President. And with Mitt Romney now out of the race, McCain is all but assured the nomination. One did not need to be a seer to figure this one out. For one thing, President George W. Bush all but destroyed whatever conservative influence was left in the GOP. Peggy ...

With the race to succeed him reaching a critical juncture, President Bush this morning began rallying the Republican base around its presumptive nominee, John McCain, and in the process tried to define his own legacy for the general election campaign to come. In a speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, Bush offered an implicit endorsement of McCain's bona fides as a true conservative in the face of deep skepticism on the right. Although he did not mention McCain by name, the president said whoever ends up being the Republican nominee will represent conservative values. Keep reading. California Schemin'? Posted by Lew Rockwell at February 7, 2008 12:11 AM Writes Holly Clearman:"After sifting through the results of California's primary, a phenomenon has occurred that can only be explained as a statistical miracle. "In California, a state larger and more diverse than many countries, each and every congressional district returned the same result. The Republican candidates placed first through fourth in the same order and in nearly the same proportion except for CD 52 where in an inexplicable fit of randomness, Romney beat McCain. It's astonishing. "Note to RNC: next time you need a hack, you might consider contracting with the 10 Ron Paul ...

But invisible ink? Twenty voters at a Far North Side precinct who found their ink pens not working were told by election judges not to worry. It's invisible ink, officials said. The scanner will count it. But their votes weren't recorded after all. "Part of me was thinking it does sound stupid enough to be true,'' said Amy Carlton, who had serious doubts but went ahead and voted anyway. ...
