If Only We Heeded Grover Cleveland... by Dr. Ron Paul A noninterventionist foreign policy is both morally and constitutionally correct. From George Washington to Grover Cleveland, this principle was upheld. The twentieth century has been witness to a complete reversal of this policy and millions have suffered as a consequence. Our foolish foreign policy contributes significantly to our national bankruptcy and presents a threat to our national security. Foreign policy's purpose should be limited to providing security and ensuring peace for America. The only moral justification for an expenditure is for the defense of our nation. A military manned by volunteers helps to avert unwise ...

Ron Paul confirms U.S. empire will suddenly collapse like Soviet Union did Friday, October 18, 2013 by: J. D. Heyes (NaturalNews) Former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul doesn't seen a rosy future ahead for the United States. In fact, he sees a repeat of recent history - though not U.S. history - on the horizon. In an interview with radio host Alex Jones, of InfoWars, Paul - who is a physician by trade and has recently launched his own radio and television network - said he sees the "bust coming soon." "They're (Washington collectively) not going to work their way out of it, so it's just (all) going to collapse," he said. "Let's just keep working on the ...

All serious social analysts and more and more generally intelligent and knowledgeable Americans realize the danger of an Implosion of the vast U.S. financial Bubbles and debts leading to a more general social-political Implosion of of the U.S., a major social disintegration including warfare involving military, veteran and other guerrilla groups. Soviet Russia Imploded very quickly after many years of growing stagnation from central planning and regulation and monetary-financial tyranny and internal conflicts similar to what we have been experiencing for several decades, though they did not have the immense problems of debts and financial Bubbles that we have. It came as a total shock to ...

The news that Janet Yellen was nominated to become the next Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System was greeted with joy by financial markets and the financial press. Wall Street saw Yellens nomination as a harbinger of continued easy money. Contrast this with the hand-wringing that took place when Larry Summers name was still in the running. Pundits worried that Summers would be too cautious, too hawkish on inflation, or too close to big banks. The reality is that there wouldnt have been a dimes worth of difference between Yellens and Summers monetary policy. No matter who is at the top, the conduct of monetary policy will be ...
How Obama Administration-Controlled Media Is Used to Avoid Scrutiny from the Press Post Date: 2013-10-14 06:50:35 by Ada

What makes the crackdown on leaks, increased denials of Freedom of Information Act requests and surveillance of journalists even more pernicious is how this conduct by President Barack Obamas administration has taken place as the administration simultaneously uses its own media to pump out its own message. In a report from the Committee to Protect Journalists on, The Obama Administration and the Press, which details leaks investigations and surveillance in post-9/11 America, an entire section focuses on the administrations promise of transparency. By the end of Obamas first full day as president on January 21, 2009, he had ...

As I write this, it appears that the federal government is about to shut down because the House and Senate cannot agree on whether to add language defunding or delaying Obamacare to the Continuing Resolution. Despite all the hand-wringing heard in DC, a short-term government shut down (which doesnt actually shut down the government) will not cause the country to collapse. And the American people would benefit if Obamacare was defeated or even delayed. Obamacare saddles the American health care system with new spending and mandates which will raise the price and lower the quality of health care. Denying funds to this program may give Congress time to replace this bill ...
President Obama and President Rouhani Don't Shake Hands After All Post Date: 2013-09-29 11:50:00 by BTP Holdings

President Obama and President Rouhani Don't Shake Hands After All By Richard Grenell Friday, September 27, 2013 Well that was a big media charade. For the last several weeks the main stream media has been telling us non-stop that Iranian President Rouhani was a moderate and that he was coming to the opening of the United Nations General Assembly to act like a moderate with his new pen pal, non-moderate Barack Obama. Never before have we seen such a media circus celebrating a breakthrough of nuclear proportions. The New York Times, the paper of record for moderate dictators who support terrorism, even announced on its front pages that the Ayatollah had approved the new moderate tone. ...
New Millennium Resource Wars Post Date: 2013-09-29 02:18:39 by Stephen Lendman

New Millennium Resource Wars by Stephen Lendman They're ongoing. They represent a modern-day great game. The previous one pit Britain against Tsarist Russia. One powerful empire battled another. They did so for territory they both wanted. Conflict lasted about 100 years. Post-WW II, East - West struggles vied for geopolitical influence and control. Resources became increasingly more important. They very much are today. World supplies are finite. Major powers scramble for as much as they can control. Oil is especially valued. No one's sure how much is left. America, China, Russia and other major nations want control over as much as possible. They're going all out to get it. ...

Pulitzer Prize winner explains how to fix journalism, saying press should 'fire 90% of editors and promote ones you can't control' Seymour Hersh exposed the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam war, for which he won the Pulitzer Prize. Photograph: Wally McNamee/Corbis Seymour Hersh has got some extreme ideas on how to fix journalism close down the news bureaus of NBC and ABC, sack 90% of editors in publishing and get back to the fundamental job of journalists which, he says, is to be an outsider. It doesn't take much to fire up Hersh, the investigative journalist who has been the nemesis of US presidents since the 1960s and who was once described by the Republican ...
What stops America from bombing Syria? Post Date: 2013-09-24 06:56:17 by Ada

What is stopping the Americans from a military strike on Syria? What is the interest of the French and British oil companies in the intervention? For whom the Islamic bell may toll? Head of the Institute of Applied Research of Oriental and African Studies, Said Gafurov, answered these and other questions in the live video feed of Pravda.Ru. Last week The New York Times published an op-ed by Vladimir Putin. Do you think it makes sense to address the American nation? I think it made a lot of sense. You have to understand who the target audience of this op-ed was. I think it sounds a bit cynical, but it was not an appeal to the nation. It is difficult to address the ...
Putin A+. Obama F- Post Date: 2013-09-16 09:28:31 by Ada

President Barack Obama foolishly backed himself into a corner during the growing Syrian crisis by issuing fatwas about mythological red lines. When his bluff got called, the silver-tongued president was left twisting in the wind. Obamas Nobel Peace Prize should be rescinded and given, instead, to Vladimir Putin. Add a warning to Obamas amateur foreign policy advisors: dont play chess with the KGB! In fact, Obama, who rudely snubbed former KGB agent Putin recently, owes Russias leader a Bolshi Spaseba(big thanks) for pulling his bacon out of the fire in Syria. Putin brilliantly demonstrated to the world the difference between diplomacy and ...

Priority One: Stopping Obama's Rage for War by Stephen Lendman He's a dangerous sociopath. He exhibits psychopathic characteristics. Psychiatrist Robert Hare says these people are "often charming." At the same time, they exhibit "a stunning lack of conscience." They prioritize self-gratification. They do it at the expense of others. They're all take. They give back little or nothing. They flagrantly violate societal rules. Many are criminals. Others use "their charm and chameleon-like" characteristics advantageously. They "leav(e) a wake of ruined lives behind them." They're "glib and superficial, egocentric and grandiose, ...
The Isolated War Party Post Date: 2013-09-11 07:10:01 by Ada

Its a trying time for the warmongers. A deluge of national polls reveal a public decidedly against war with Syria. Congress is listening, and the authorization for military action faces opposed majorities in both houses. Obamas progressive base is mostly against his idea to bomb. So are many liberals and most leftists. Even the presidents wife and Nancy Pelosis grandson dont want war, according to these politicians pushing for one. Conservatives, too, overwhelmingly oppose attacking Assads regime. The Tea Party types want nothing to do with the war. The rights talking heads mostly lashed out against the idea, for mostly very good reasons. Almost ...

Labor Day: 90 Million Americans Without Jobs; 36% Of the Population Mac Slavo September 2nd, 2013 This weekend President Obama delivered his weekly radio address commemorating the Labor Day weekend: Over the past four and a half years, weve fought our way back from the worst recession of our lifetimes. And thanks to the grit and resilience of the American people, weve begun to lay a foundation for stronger, more durable economic growth. Except like everything else coming out of Washington, President Obama loaded his speech with platitudes and wishful thinking, failing to mention the reality of whats happening in our economy and especially our labor force. ...

Impeach Obama Now! by Stephen Lendman A previous article called impeaching him a national imperative. Do it now. Do it before it's too late. He's already guilty of multiple high crimes of war, against humanity and genocide. He plans much more ahead. He intends lawless aggression against Syria. He risks regional war. He's menacing humanity. He risks WW III. He cares only about advancing America's imperium. Mass killing and destruction are small prices to pay. So is risking humanity's annihilation. Francis Boyle wants him impeached. He urged doing so when Congress returns on September 9. Last December, Boyle spoke at the Puerto Rican Summit Conference on Human ...

Phony "poison gas" attack spurs calls for intervention Those rollicking jihadists, the Syrian rebels, love a joke: although they can be deadly serious such as when theyre eating the internal organs of their enemies what they enjoy more than anything is a really good prank. There was the time they claimed the Assad regime was killing babies in incubators not very original, but hey, it worked for the Kuwaitis! Then there was the "massacre" at Houla, which was alleged to have killed 32 children and over 60 adults: a photo started appearing in the mainstream media, documenting the slaughter. The state-supported BBC was first to run with it ...
Ron Paul Shocker: Obey international law, pay taxes to authorities, & abstain from all offensive subject matter Post Date: 2013-08-20 08:41:05 by Artisan

Perusing the new 'Ron Paul Channel' website, the complex 'terms of use' are quite amusing, if not a bit shocking. Reading over all these rules may lead one to ask 'Are these the terms of a hard-core libertarian freedom advocate, or is this nightmare list of rules written by some homeowners-association type control freak?' For starters, the terms state that no 'offensive subject matter' or 'objectionable content' is allowed. Paul's rules also warn that users must pay all taxes and penalties associated with his products to the 'relevant tax authority,' and tops it off by warning users not to violate any 'international law.' Wow. He ...

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange praised United States Senator Rand Paul (R- Kentucky) and his father, Dr. Ron Paul, during an interview Friday in which he said the family has been among the biggest supporters his whistleblowing group has in Congress. Speaking from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, Assange said during a live- streamed question-and-answer session that he is a big admirer of Ron Paul and Rand Paul for their very principled positions in the US Congress on a number of issues. The Paul family, added Assange, have been the strongest supporters of the fight against the US attack on WikiLeaks and on me. Sen. Paul, a devout libertarian and a rumored ...
The New York Times takes down the Clinton Foundation. This could be devastating for Bill and Hillary Post Date: 2013-08-15 06:46:20 by Ada

An internal review of the Clinton Foundations' workings has proved troubling Is the New York Times being guest edited by Rush Limbaugh? Today it runs with a fascinating takedown of the Clinton Foundation that vast vanity project that conservatives are wary of criticising for being seen to attack a body that tries to do good. But the liberal NYT has no such scruples. The killer quote is this: For all of its successes, the Clinton Foundation had become a sprawling concern, supervised by a rotating board of old Clinton hands, vulnerable to distraction and threatened by conflicts of interest. It ran multimillion-dollar deficits for several years, despite vast amounts of money ...
Why Won’t They Tell Us the Truth About NSA Spying? Post Date: 2013-08-06 07:55:00 by Ada

In 2001, the Patriot Act opened the door to US government monitoring of Americans without a warrant. It was unconstitutional, but most in Congress over my strong objection were so determined to do something after the attacks of 9/11 that they did not seem to give it too much thought. Civil liberties groups were concerned, and some of us in Congress warned about giving up our liberties even in the post-9/11 panic. But at the time most Americans did not seem too worried about the intrusion. This complacency has suddenly shifted given recent revelations of the extent of government spying on Americans. Politicians and bureaucrats are faced with serious backlash from Americans outraged that ...

On the eve of a House vote Wednesday on his amendment to curb the National Security Agency's daily dragnet collection of Americans' phone records, Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) tweeted, "Washington's elites fear liberty. They fear you." On Thursday, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (shown) demonstrated just how eager he is to join the Washington elite. Speaking at the Republican Governors Conference in Aspen, Colorado, Christie delivered what Aaron Blake at the Washington Post described as a "clear broadside" against Republicans of a libertarian bent, including Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, expected to be competing with Christie for the GOP presidential ...

The Full Power Of Vice President Dick Cheney Is Only Now Becoming Clear Post Date: 2013-07-16 08:44:15 by Ada

On Sept. 12, 2001, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said that "what we are seeing is the definition of a new battlefield in the world, a twenty-first century battlefield." On Sept. 16, 2001, Vice President Dick Cheney said that America would have to "spend time in the shadows" and work on the "dark side." Since then the U.S. has been engaged in a global war on terror, but Americans haven't known how exactly it is being fought. That changed on Tuesday with the publication of "Dirty Wars: The World Is A Battlefield" by investigative journalist and New York Times bestselling author Jeremy Scahill. Based on years of on-the-ground research and ...
